    Garlic Knots
    Anna P.

The garlic knots were best enjoyed fresh after service as they had a crispy shell and a doughy soft inside. The garlic flavor was also very strong from the garlic butter. They were tasty but once they became cooler, the bread turned firm. The Nico pizza was delicious. My favorite part was the meatloaf slices as they are perfectly integrated into the pizza and do not fall off or breakdown the pizza in a single bite. The flavor of the pepperoni and the meatballs were also very good. The dough on the pizza leans on the dougher side, I did not eat my crusts because they were too thick. Ambiance at Armature works is always casual and lively. The service was typical for a food hall. They call your number when your order is ready.

This what my meatball pizza looked like. I ordered the 18" via Uber Eats. The next photo is what they advertised which looks delicious! Tastes like a cheese pizza with overcooked dried meatball slices thrown on, without any sauce.

Stopped by The Fold at Armature Works for a quick dinner after an event and grabbed a slice of their Margherita pizza. While it was tasty with a nice crust and decent toppings, $7 per slice felt a bit steep--especially considering there are better pizza spots around Tampa (Eddie & Sam's, anyone?). That said, it's a convenient option if you're already at Armature Works and need a quick bite.

The nico pizza was very tasty and had a bunch of good flavors that mixed well, my garlic knot cooled off so it wasn't the best but it had good flavor. Would definitely come again and try the other slices

The fold now open in Armature Works! I'm always going to be picky with my pizza (living in nyc for 4 years) but it's okay. It's decent if you want a slice and on the go. The classic was classic, but the grandma slice I wasn't a fan and my friend got the other slices and mentioned it was chewy ha. But again, very picky with my pizza lol What I ordered: - CLASSIC: tomato sauce & mozzarella - GRANDMA: pan baked with grandma's sauce, mozzarella, basil & oregano - FIREBIRD: tomato sauce, mozzarella, buffalo chicken, jalapenos, & hot honey - PEPPERONI: tomato sauce, mozzarella & pepperoni

Funny was just in NYC before coming here but decided on pizza anyway. To my surprise it was actually pretty good. I got the super mario, my friend got the nico. Both were tasty. The only down side was the price. $19 bucks for two slices seems kinda steep

We were excited to try The Fold, but pretty disappointed. We were missing two slices ($16 worth of pizza), and when we got home and realized, no one was able to answer the phone and we were too far away at that point. We messaged on IG but have not received a response. For the food, the garlic knots were basically just plain rolls (basically no garlic or butter) that were very crunchy and hard. Sauce was good but didn't really help the hardness of the knots :( the pizza we did get (super Mario, margherita, and blanco) were all pretty good! Only thing is that the crust was rock hard and we couldn't really eat it. Overall, I really hope someone can get back to us to help with our issues during this order. There was no one in front of or behind us when we ordered, so we're pretty disappointed.

I enjoyed my pizza and garlic knot. First off all the garlic knot is huge! Crispy yet soft and pillowy on the inside. The pizza (buffalo chicken, can't remember the real name) was freaking delicious.

We wanted a quick dinner and we were close to the Armature Works so we tried this. It serves hot slices of pizza by partially cooking them and then second baking (or warming) when you order. The plus: The Firebird pizza. Buffalo chicken, jalapeños, hot honey, mozzarella cheese and sauce. I'd put the heat level as maybe upper mild but not at all hot. Flavors were great. Crust is not great. Oh, we also tried the garlic knots. They were great! I'd certainly come back and maybe try some others. The not so plus: The cheese pizza. Cheese had a good flavor but the plain crust made it not as I great. Crust is fairly thick and cakey.

Really good pizza. I want to the try "the grandma" on my next visit. The service was great. The establishment is located inside of Armature Works which has others restaurants and sometimes a musical DJ!

    The Blanco and Meatball pizza
    Ariana L.

This pizza is delicioussssss and such a great addition to Armature Works! I will say the pizza doesn't look that appetizing in the case because the slices are congealed and cold. However, they reheat the pizza before serving it to you. I tried the blanco and the meatball slices. The meatball pizza was very solid but the blanco absolutely blew me away. It has caramelized onions and honey that takes it up a notch. The prices are fair as well. I only knocked off a star because we waited 30 minutes (!!!) for our pizza slices because they ran out of blanco after I already ordered. Usually, it takes about 10-15 mins for your order, which is still quite a long time. I do appreciate that the pizza is nice and hot when you get it, but for a quick service spot like AW, 30 mins is a ridiculously long amount of time. Hoping it was just an off day!

The pizza is really good. Give it a 3.75 out of 5. It is good but way overpriced but you are paying that because of armature works. Solid.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was at the Fold. I was expecting it to be just okay and had heard from others that it didn't blow them away, but I thought it was really good. We got the special heart-shaped pepperoni pizza for Valentine's Day, but I am looking forward to going back soon and trying some of the slices. We had to wait about 15 minutes for the pizza to be ready because it was busy, but ordering is quick and easy at the counter. I always love the vibe at Armature Works.

Firebird pizza: Buffalo chicken, mozzarella, tomato sauce, jalapeños, & hot honey. And a garlic knot.

I don't know how it's possible but I think it may have even been better the second day. Trust me when I say ... I eat more pizza than almost anyone. I've been to hundreds and hundreds of pizza shops all over the world including Italy. I also have been making pizza at home for the past 10 years. This pizza is it !

Everyone's eating the crust, it's not just the pizza handle it's the treat at the end of the piece of pizza. I ordered the 12" Americana...absolutely no disappointment. Perfectly cooked by a pizza artisan and delivered hot of the oven...I love it! The sauce is great, the toppings are great...it's an incredible pizza. I sat at the bar and just relaxed watching the pizza being assembled and cooked in their beautiful pizza oven. I waited patiently, or at least as patiently as I could be for mine to come out...and when it did, it was everything I had hoped for and more. So, why only a four star rating...well, I need to give fair and honest ratings...I'm fortunate that in most instances I eat at restaurants I like, and those are the reviews I enjoy doing. If I have a bad experience, sometimes I don't even bother with the review...but if it's good to great, I feel like I need to help spread the word. Sogna Napoli Trattoria would have gotten 5 stars all but for one thing...or shall I say three things...I prefer Coke over Pepsi...they only had Pepsi...and that's certainly not enough to drop a star...but the Pepsi was terrible...it had the oddest taste, I can't explain it. If I'm enjoying a great pizza I would like a fizzy soda that meets the expectations, Coke or Pepsi. So I asked to switch to something else...Dr Pepper sounded good, so I gave it a try...it was equally awful, sale odd taste. Now I'm loving my pizza, but thirsty for something so I switch to water...and it was the same kind of awful tasting disappointment. Not sure what it was, and not sure if the water came from the Pepsi machine, but all three were just about as bad as any I've had. I couldn't help but think the machine was dirty, or maybe the water is just fowl and it's contaminating the soda...but that was the only complaint for what otherwise was an incredible pizza! The other items on the menu looked great as they passed in front of my eyes...I wish I lived nearby so I could try the other things they make..:but I'd bring my own drink next time!

A friend had clued me in that this was the best pizza that Tampa had to offer, so a group of us who either currently live in or formerly lived in NJ went to try it out to see if it measures up. The place gives off old school vibes, with plenty of New York sports pictures, jerseys, and memorabilia up on the walls, as well as having that distinct smell of a proper NJ area pizzeria that sets your expectations pretty high. We wanted to try out a variety of items, so we started off with the mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. The mozzarella sticks (3/5) were forgettably average, with minimal taste in the breading and served up with an underwhelming tomato sauce (wasn't a proper marinara sauce). The garlic knots (4.5/5) were highly impressive, served piping hot in a very unique pull-apart portion. It was delicious and the texture of it was just right, though one minor critique was that the accompanying sauce was more butter with a lesser garlic taste than I'm used to (more emphasis on olive oil & garlic, and less emphasis on butter back home in NJ). The pizza (3.75/5) was probably one of the best I've had in the state of Florida, with a combination of good tasting crust, sauce, and cheese reminiscent of flavors of a proper Jersey pizzeria. The base was cooked to perfection, and we were happy to have tried it out shortly after it came out of the oven. While there was a touch of excess oil on the pizza surface and it would get lost in mediocrity if it was served up in NJ, I found it highly impressive for Florida pizza, as it sure to satisfy any pizza craving. Service (5/5) was excellent from staff checking in on customers regularly with an enthusiastic and helpful energy. Santoro's Pizzeria is a spot I would return to, and would recommend them to others looking for quality pizza (and garlic knots) in Tampa.
