I can't say enough good things about our purchase experience! Brian was amazing. I can't remember…read morethe last time I worked with a salesperson who was so knowledgeable and helpful. I really felt like he was sensitive to what we were looking for to meet our needs in our price range and he directed us to products with great features, and with good track records. Also, their showroom is so nice! They have lots of floor models with a wide variety of brands and price points-- even super high end stuff. I'm so glad we supported a local store instead of some multinational chain where you're totally on your own trying to make choices. We won't need apliances again for a long time but when we do, I will definitely come back here. (I'll update this review after we receive our new appliances.)

I had looked up the appliance we wanted, nothing fancy, we found a great deal with over $100 savings, online and phoned the store with 1 hour until closing. Brandon took my call and was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. He took care of everything in one phone call, in 15 minutes I had brought the new appliance and arranged delivery, installation and removal. I had an excellent experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and shop here again myself. The delivery team arrived exactly as they had said, keeping us updated and informed of progress. They were efficient, clean and friendly and took all of the packaging and the old appliance away after installing the new appliance. What an easy experience.

The folks at John's went so far above and beyond normal service to help us get set up, it was mind boggling. I can't recommend them enough. My parents went to John's Barn & Bedroom in Nanaimo because they were told by the owner that he…read morecould help them find a firm, supportive mattress that would relieve their chronic back pain. They trusted his advice and purchased a mattress for over $6,000, believing his assurances that he would make sure they were "100% satisfied" and that if there were any issues, he would make it right. Within just a couple of weeks, they realized the mattress was far too soft and uncomfortable. They went back to speak with John multiple times, but instead of offering any meaningful solution, he told them to "keep sleeping on it" and that their bodies would adjust. Months later, their back pain has only gotten worse. Now, he is refusing to stand by his word and has told them it's a "final sale." This entire experience has left my parents feeling misled, disappointed, and taken advantage of, especially after choosing to support a small local business instead of purchasing from a reputable Canadian company that offers a 365-night trial and full money-back guarantee. As someone who has personally tried the mattress during a weekend stay, I can confirm that it is extremely uncomfortable and causes back pain almost immediately. It's unacceptable for a business owner to promise satisfaction, take thousands of dollars from seniors on a fixed income, and then walk away from his word when the product clearly fails to deliver. We hoped John would make this right, but since he has not, I feel it's important to warn others: think twice before purchasing from this store. If you want honesty, comfort, and accountability, look elsewhere.

I just can't like wide plank in a residence. I tried living with the carpet that was in place when I purchased my patio home but I hated it.
