I had my driveway replaced September 2026 for $9.500. Shortly after I called John to let him know…read morethe pitch at the top of the driveway was too steep. Trucks scrape going out, garbage cans roll off and you can't even stand on it in the winter to shovel. He agreed to fix, I agreed to pay additional. After several calls, 7 emails', winter ...spring... now he doesn't answer. Besides other minor imperfections the driveways pitch is way too steep and unacceptable. I would not recommend his company and recommend if you do you better catch him prior to him pulling out or you'll never see him again.

John quoted me a price to pave my driveway. I agreed, it was fair…read more John's crew did the work while I was out of town - I explicitly told John I would be away on business. John's crew told my wife that they should seal the brand new pavement that day, and it would cost an extra $1000. No one contacted me, and my wife was convinced by John's team that this was appropriate. All of the research I have done says that sealing before the pavement cures is a bad approach. John was very rude to me when I spoke to him, and literally said I should be mad at my wife for agreeing to pay the extra $1000. He hung up on me when I called to complain. I consider John and his team to be untrustworthy.

I don't know where to begin on how amazing this company is. We were referred by another customer,…read morewhich is always a good sign. The duplex townhouse we recently bought had a 34 year old roof and desperately needed replacement. Brian, the general manager, was our point of contact. What a sweetheart of a guy! Funny, personable, and *extremely* knowledgeable. He coordinated with our attached neighbor so both sides would be done at once and the roofline would look seamless. The pricing was well within expectations. When work started, his crew arrived promptly each morning and got straight to work. I must say, these guys work fast and hard. It's worth mentioning that they cleaned up their debris beautifully. The place was spotless when they finished. Brian has a good sense of cosmetics on the house and he wrapped the windowsills and replaced a rotted piece. You can see the difference immediately, in the pictures. It looks like a brand new home. We got compliments from our neighbors immediately. Brian went above and beyond our expectations. We are so blown away by him and the company we are looking forward to having them replace our interior doors, as well. I wish every company had this kind of integrity and quality.

Started off well, with him coming for a quote in a timely manner. Then, went downhill. What was…read moreoriginally quoted was out of my budget, so I tried to get it to be something in my budget. I asked for a few things, in order to lower my price (for example, taking care of debris myself, installing some shutters myself, etc...). I received a lower quote, but the numbers didn't make sense. As well, I was supposed to have samples brought over, and they weren't. I called and asked about it, and about the numbers, no response. I emailed, no response. I called again (a week later), and got him on the phone. He said he ran out of samples, even though he was supposedly bringing them over a week earlier. He said he'd leave them on his front porch if I wanted to pick them up. He started going off to me about not having time to discuss options with me. And, that since it's a small job I wasn't really too important. I hung up, since it was going nowhere and that's no way to earn my business. If you don't want my money and business, someone else will get it. If I want options to be within my budget, that's my prerogative as a consumer. If your math doesn't add up, I have the right to ask about it. If you don't want "small" jobs, don't quote them.

This is the first review I've ever written. Build Right earned it…read more A water leak forced us to rip out and replace my floors. Along the way we found a few smaller issues that needed attention so water wouldn't be a problem again. Every person who worked on the project lived up to the company's name. My front door had never been installed correctly. Instead of working around someone else's mistake, they pulled the entire door and sealed the entryway properly. We also replaced the floors on my basement level, which meant installing directly onto cement. Halfway through, we realized the glue was expanding and the floor was bubbling unevenly. They didn't argue the point. They agreed it wasn't as good as it could be and restarted the entire job. No charge for the additional materials or time. If you hire Build Right, they will take the time and care to do the job correctly. It's that simple.
