This florist shop is a godsend!! I was visiting the KC metro area and didn't know where to go for a nice flower arrangement. The Flower Man team went above and beyond for my sister's funeral. I was nervous to order online from an online only site, as I've heard so many disappointing stories. So, I went into The Flower Man shop and ordered the centerpiece for the Urn. It arrived exactly as promised, except it was so much more beautiful than I expected. I also ordered a spray of pink and red carnations from them, and they were far more beautiful than I expected, as well. 5 days later and the carnation spray looks exactly the same as the day it was delivered. The centerpiece of white flowers has held up almost as well as the carnations have. I don't know if that's typical, but I'm filled with gratitude when I look at them sitting on my fireplace hearth. Very disappointing. I stopped into the store and ordered a corsage and boutonniere for my son's homecoming dance well in advance. I came to pick up my flowers and the corsage was wrong- 3 small white roses instead of one large white rose and green ribbon instead of white. I said I was OK with the corsage the way it was but I really needed the white ribbon as it was requested by my sons date. They took it back and 20 minutes later came out with corsage redone with a brownish-white wilted single rose and still the green ribbon so I asked for it to be redone again. They redid the ribbon but it was still not great. By that time I was very late and had to accept it the way it was. There were several people also waiting because their orders were wrong. The shop seemed very disorganized- I don't think I will use them again. . read more

I currently live in a different country, so I ordered same day delivery through Facebook messenger -- could not find an email or a way to order online. UPDATE 2/17/14: Spoke with the owner Gary today after he left a sincere voice mail yesterday apologizing for the miscommunication that occurred a week prior. Gary was caring, courteous, and even offered to make up for the mistake by sending my fiancee additional flowers in the near future (I can't list the date in case she reads this haha). The fact that Gary contacted me on his own time to apologize and accept responsibility for the mishap is a sign of an owner who truly cares about his customers. Not quite sure what happened...my husband surprised me with flowers for our 5 year anniversary last Thursday. By Monday - the flowers are already wilting and burned looking. He said he spent $30 dollars for them - but can't believe they didn't even make it 4 days. They look like flowers from walmart that would of cost $5-10. Sad to see this happen. read more

I ordered flowers 5 days in advance (ordered Friday morning) with a request for a morning delivery the following Wednesday. They didn't show up until after 3 o'clock, and by that time my wife was gone (the reason I wanted morning delivery). One of the reasons you order flowers is the surprise of receiving them. Some events, like retirement, only happen once. That being said, you only get one first impression. I'm not impressed. The Flower Man had my phone number and could have called. My girlfriend was coming home after surgery and I called The Flower Man very late in the afternoon, asking for some "Get Well Soon" flowers to be delivered to her house. Gary said he was not sure they would be able to deliver it that same day because their driver was already out for his last run of the day. I happened in this store a week before my daughter's wedding, and I liked Sherry so much that I cancelled on the florist I had already lined up (although I'm not proud of that). Sherry made some great recommendations on how she could make the bouquets full but VERY affordable. I can't thank Sherry enough for the beautiful bouquets. When my friend picked them up, she texted me that she got chills when she saw them.
