I looked at other florist in the area and found similar prices. I decided to use Englewood due to the connection with the funeral home. Their web ordering page kept reverting to the default for my sympathy card. Took me three times to get it correct, very frustrating. Originally, I added a tip, but on the bill they added so many service fees I removed it during one of the times I had to correct the sympathy message. They were kind to tell me that the flowers had been delivered on time, but for the $17.99 delivery fee plus a $7+ service fee, it was less than a pizza delivery service would do... for much less $. The flowers were the only ones at the service (people in Lawrence obviously know something I don't) and they were never placed with the casket (which is the funeral homes fault). My family who attended the funeral were on the look out for the flowers and of course they were a major topic of conversation. Once people found out I paid $120 for the bouquet with $39 in additional costs. They were all very verbal about telling me that I got ripped off. They all said the flowers looked like a $30 bunch from the grocery store in a vase. For next time... with a different florist. I'll not order online. I'll call and ask what is freshest and what can I get for the amount of money I want to spend. Or... I'll call a relative and have them pick up a bouquet from the grocery store.

Not only did we order our daughter flowers then, we have since ordered 4 other times with each order having a specific request. Never have we been disappointed in the interactions when ordering, the final cost, the quality of the arrangements and the amazing creativity displayed in each arrangement. This recent order was due to our daughter moving to the Hyde Park area this Christmas. When I called and spoke to Sarah (which is always a wonderful experience!) I explained only the color preferences. When we arrived to visit our daughter on this December 23rd and I was able to see the arrangements that Bergamot & Ivy had created and delivered I was in absolute awe! The most amazing thing was how perfectly the arrangements fit in her new home on Janssen Place! Absolutely stunning! Worth every cent spent. Once again an epic masterpiece! However, their customer service is amazing! They have pre cut trees in the front of the farm, closer to the house. If you're going down into the farm because you want the experience of cutting down your own tree, make sure to bring your own saw! The farm area is a pretty big and open field with lots of spaced out trees. It wasn't overwhelming at all, and they had lots of different sizes. When you go in to pay they have complimentary hot cocoa and hot cider, as well as wreaths to purchase if you want.

It is very easy to get to, the trees are reasonably priced, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a family-run business and the trees (Scotch Pines) are grown on the property. However, they do have some pre-cut Frasier Firs for sell. They also have all the supplies you will need to cut down and haul the perfect Christmas tree, free of charge. There is even free hot chocolate and cider and handmade wreaths available for purchase. Midland Holiday Pines is open 10am to 5pm the day after Thanksgiving, then every weekend until Christmas, 10am-5pm.
