Worst arrangements I ever received in 40 years. When I communicated that nothing was done about it. Who wants dark and dreary and old when flowers are supposed to be bright and fresh and make you happy-especially at their prices! The photos on the website look nothing like what I received. More importantly, the customer service was at best, inexperienced and rude. Will NEVER have anything to do with them again and will let everyone know. Came in on a Friday morning. Asked for a $20 bouquet with "maybe purples and yellows" and the staff went into the back to pull flowers. The most gorgeous cute arrangement came back out with him. He tied it up with white wax paper and a lavender nylon ribbon. I wish the ribbon was compostable twine, but no big deal. I'd go back and recommend. read more

My uncle passed away a couple of weeks ago and my family lives very far. I live in Atlanta and my cousins live in California and Alabama. We were unable to pick my uncle's wreaths out in person so we decided to order them before we arrived in Linden, NJ for his home going service. We used the Flower Gallery florist. I spoke with them several times to make sure things would be perfect for the arrangements. The staff was very knowledgeable and patient. They helped me make decisions that I was confused about. I'm very upset with their service. One of my family members passed away. The florals were purchased over the phone. The sales rep was very professional, but the delivery was not fulfilled. As I pursued the issue, spoke to several reps. 2 reps were unprofessional (1# rep would not take me off the speaker after I mentioned it was difficult to hear him speak. 2# the other rep had too much noise going in the background and was also hard to understand. I called his attention to it, he ignores it, and did not try to resolve that matter nor resolve the delivery issue as well). I called the third time to just cancel after many attempts to have the florals be delivered ( it was a really nice one too!). Then she insisted on continuing with the "discounts" when it was too late for the burial had ended. I understand with persuasion on sales, but when it comes to a farewell gesture/gift there should not be an upselling point! especially when it is not going to be delivered on its proper time-mannered! read more

I have been coming here for past 8-10 years since it is right next to my job. They used to have this business under a different name before but right after they converted over to the 1-800-flowers few years back, it is now called 'The Flower Gallary'. It is your typical local neighborhood flower shop that carries all the typical flower arrangements. The folks who work here are very helpful specially older lady that works as a cashier. They carry all type of flowers, seasonal stuff, balloons, gift baskets, stuff animals and greeting cards. They are bit pricey compared to other flower shop but that is only if you buy their pre-prepared bouquets. You can walk in & tell them you want a custom flower arrangements, they will ask you how much you want to spend & what kind of flowers you want in it. I have always ordered it this way & it's always been great. They are conveniently located on the wood avenue so you will have parking issues as there are only meter parking available. Last time I went in to pick my valentine's day order, the owner was there & he indicated that business has been tough and he is thinking of selling or closing down the place. read more

Recently ordered a sympathy basket from them and was pleasantly surprised by how top notch their service was. Not only were the flowers fresh and beautiful but their customer service was subpar. I ordered online and forgot to include a delivery time frame. They researched the ceremony time for me and delivered the night before. It is very rare these days that you are met with this level of professionalism. I realized my mistake the morning of the service and was reassured by teh flourist the morning of that they had taken care of it for me. I would definitly order from here again and recommend it to others. read more

Ordered a vase arrangement for a funeral for today. This was A beautiful arrangement, but it was the tiniest thing you could ever imagine ( and I ordered the large). I could have made this arrangement from Shop-Rite for about 1/3 of the price. I will never use them again! read more

If I could give negative stars I would! After not delivering a bouquet on time Friday (a Mothers Day Bouquet) they then attempted to deliver the SAME DEAD BOUQUET 5 days later. When I called to see how they would remedy this, the owner YELLED at me and hung up. Most unprofessional company I have ever used! With so many other options available, no need to use this company that does a terrible job and YELLS and hangs up on their customers. BEWARE! read more

My boyfriend ordered a Thinking of You balloon with a bouquet and teddy bear, the message on the card had numerous mistakes, and the balloon they sent says Happy Birthday. Ruined the effect of a surprise delivery. When contacted they said they wouldn't do anything to fix it- OPPOSITE of the guarantee on the website. WILL NEVER BE GOING THERE AGAIN. My son sent me flowers through 1800 flowers for Mother's Day. He lives in Seattle. The flowers were delivered on Mother's Day. As soon as I opened them, I knew I was in trouble. They did not look very healthy. The instructions said to change water, cut stems and add plant food. There was no plant food included. Monday they looked a little better, but by Thursday half of them were dead. I called the Flower Gallery in Linden on Friday morning (where the flowers came from). I told them they were dead and that no plant food had been included with them. Their response was that the instructions they had did not include plant food. I said the instructions that came with them said there was supposed to be plant food. The man said I could come in and get another bouquet. I'm sorry, but this was not my fault and I should not have to go and pick up my own flowers. I said no I wasn't going to do that. His final response was well then "Sorry about that." I thought the premise of good business was to satisfy the customer, especially when the fault is theirs and not the customer. If it was possible to give this florist one star I would. read more
