Mahonia Studio: My Plant's Real Parent…read more Let's be honest--I am not the plant parent my leafy children deserve. I try, I really do, but sometimes they tip over, take a tumble, or just look at me like, "Why did you choose this life for me?" Enter Mahonia Studio, the plant hospital / plant therapist / plant whisperer I never knew I needed. They have saved multiple of my plants from what can only be described as near-death experiences caused entirely by my own clumsiness. (Seriously, if my plants could talk, they'd be calling Mahonia for custody arrangements.) Beyond their life-saving skills, the shop itself?? Absolute paradise. It's like stepping into a lush, magical greenhouse where every plant is thriving (unlike the ones at my house before Mahonia intervened). Their selection is chefs kiss--from easy-to-care-for plants to "You better know what you're doing" statement pieces--plus all the cute pots and accessories to make me look like a responsible plant parent. And the staff?? Literal angels. Not only do they help me pick plants that fit my chaotic lifestyle, but they also give the best care advice, zero judgment included. Just good vibes, good plants, and people who actually want your leafy friends to live their best life. Final thoughts: Mahonia Studio isn't just a plant shop--it's a plant rescue mission. If you're clumsy, clueless, or just obsessed with greenery, this is the place.

I also got a watermelon salad, which looked to be watermelon chunks, spinach, feta, roasted pistachios, and cucumber with a sweet/tart vinaigrette. Absolutely phenomenal. The interior is part gift shop, with a nice arrangement of things for sale such as baskets from Senegal, homemade soaps, art and jewelry. Oh and they offer ice cream! How can you beat it! I am so excited for this addition to the Limerick neighborhood and look forward to going back again.
