My mother-in-law received some bad health-related news so we decided to cheer her up with a…read morebouquet. We don't live in Wenatchee so we found Apple Blossom Floral on Yelp. I placed the order online for a $80-$100 "Beautiful" category arrangement and noted that I would like for it to include some roses. Within 45 minutes, I received a call from Jeanne who informed me that roses meant it will be on the higher end so $100. I told her that was fine. She then proceeded to tell me about peach and yellow roses that she had along with small white spray roses. She seemed somewhat distracted; I could hear some background noise as she was asking other staff about what flowers arrived that morning. When I received the picture of what was delivered, I was very disappointed. There were no peach or yellow roses; only some small white spray roses and others flowers that I felt didn't warrant the $100 price tag (see pic). I called and spoke to Jeanne again. She said there was a misunderstanding and that she told me this morning they DIDN'T have any peach or yellow roses. Ummm....ok. She also said she should have told me their arrangements start at $100. She asked if I wanted for them to go get the bouquet back. Seriously?! Who does that?! Clearly she can sense that I wasn't happy so she offered a make-up 3-rose bouquet. Apparently, 6 roses start at $75 so that was not going to happen. I appreciated the gesture and ask for it to be sent the following week. I understand everything is more expensive nowadays due to inflation but I guess spending $125 on flowers won't get you as much as you think...atleast not at ABF.

My friend lives in Wenatchee so I googled a flower shop in the area and came across this gem. She explained that they can put together a nice spring bouquet, how much it'll cost, that delivery will be that afternoon, and all I had to do was to provide payment over the phone. Then she confirmed the delivery address and phone number of the person it was to and asked if there was any additional message I wanted to add. She said my credit card will be charged later this afternoon, and an invoice will be emailed to me. Although the invoice never came to my email (perhaps wrong email address?), my credit card was charged by Apple Blossom Floral for the amount she had said, and my friend received a beautiful arrangement waiting for her when she came home from work that evening. The entire process was super easy and the woman that called me was very pleasant and nice.

I was so looking forward to brightening her up on her birthday. I also work for a florist in Seattle and know what is what as far as protocol and quality. In smaller areas i know it is harder to get certain flowers so i went with what they had available, once i requested no carnations the old guy on the phone got crabby sounding. He continued to let me know that he has been in business for thirty years etc... well maybe burned out is what is going on. Needless to say my mom never got the flowers, i never got a phone call to say they couldn't find it. Everyone loses, if the driver had the senders number he could have called and avoided all of this. Now the florist wasted gas,time,flowers,a sale, dissapointed the sender and the recipient for no phone call. When i called wondering what happened he was rude and basically had no good protocol in place. Bad business practice, dissapointing. I never right reviews but that just made me feel better.

When I called Sage Farms, the woman who assisted me was fantastic. We looked at website photos…read moretogether and she helped me pick out a selection based on the photos. Two other clients had ordered flowers for the family earlier in the day and she made sure my selection was different. She also went out of her way to make sure the flowers were delivered that afternoon and they were received within a few hours. So I was delighted with that. However. Our friends sent a photo and the flowers were very, very humble compared to the photo on the website. I was embarrassed with what was delivered and stunned that I paid $117 for what looked like $20 worth of Trader Joes flowers. I called the shop that night and left a voicemail asking if we could have a conversation. Two days later I sent an email and included a photo from the website and the photo my friend sent me. I never heard back. This morning I emailed the shop again, and said that since they offer a 100% guarantee, that I was particularly upset that I was never called back. I have only once before given a bad yelp review. It pains me to do it, but after reaching out to the shop three times to ask to have a conversation, and with no response, I decided to share this. I would upload the photo of the arrangement on the website and the photo my friend sent me but I don't see the function to do that.
