So why am I reviewing a loaf of bread you may wonder. Well the reason is this; the Tortana bread we bought from Flour Station at Borough market was the star of our work lunch yesterday. The cheese was good, the tomatoes ok, and the chorizo tasty, but the bread was fantastic. So moreish, you can eat it on its own, and we did, over and over again.
Super fresh, the Tortana was just as bread should be crunchy on the outside, bubbly and moist inside. The stall holder told me that the bread is handmade with potato and honey right here in London, so no food miles to feel guilty about.
And what's more, this is the perfect loaf for a picnic. As it's a large ring, it's easy to tear and devour without a knife. Go and try some, for a picnic or any occasion, definitely work a few quid. read more
