After reading a few of the reviews on here, I felt I must have been on an odd day since my opinions…read moredo not parallel the rest. But the previous reviews are 2010-2013... SO, 2 YEARS LATER..... Wednesday afternoon I came here and making my way to a nearby hotel. I would have dined somewhere else if there were anywhere available nearby but decided to take a chance here. I wish I ventured somewhere else. The place was spacious and had lots of food to order. However, what is the point of space when practically no one is there to attend to you. The waitress or cashier, saw us for a few minutes, nobody bothered. We had to go to them and ask them for a menu and order. by this point i lost interest and decided to take away. While waiting, I decided to buy a 1.5LT Evian bottle (NOT THE LARGEST) . This woman looked at me and said one moment, I asked how much it was and she left me and took another lady talking in their dialect and looked at me. She said it was £3,20. I buy the very same thing for £1.90.... I paid it annoyed because it wasn't even cooled and i didnt see the reason of it being so pricey. Moving onto the food, we purchased and paid. We ate and the amount of dark sauce swimming around the "FRIED NOODLE" made us think we ordered noodle soup instead. I mean as we opened the Tupperware, the black sauce was oozing out and it seemed like it was more of noodle soup than black bean soup. I order Pork chop with rice. It arrived as RICE AT THE BOTTOM, GRAVY AND 2 MASHED WHATEVER. The only good food we order was the vegs spring rolls and squid balls. Barely edible. I hate low reviews but this one, it had to be done.

We have driven past this place for years and kept saying, "we need to try this out". So, we finally…read morestopped. And it was a good decision. It reminds me a bit of a cafeteria, which is fine. Service is quick and meals are very reasonable. The menu is HUGE with a variety of Chinese, Thai and Malaysian cuisines. We got a few starters as well as mains, all of which were tasty. They do have beers and wine as well as non-alcoholic choices. Service it's spot on and friendly. The restaurant brings in a mixed crowd and there were a few people stopping by for take-away. And with two hour parking available at Homebase plus multiple buses nearby, it's an easy to access sorry if place. Along with the restaurant, there also exists a bakery, which was closed in the evening. Might have to check it out!

Excellent kosher bakery store. Wonderful selection of all…read moretypes of baked goods for home and event catering. There is also a sit down dining area. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the premises are modern and well designed. Street parking outside.

This is a tidy, open space along a strip of somewhat underwhelming shops in Hendon. I was glad to…read morehave found it. The pastries are gorgeous, and, for the calorie and coin counter, some are 'mini' versions of the usual-sized goodies (think: croissants, pain au chocos, and sows' ears--don't know what ya'll call 'em here) at a fraction of the price. The loaves of bread (challah, white, wheat, light rye) seem to come both bagged and unbagged. The bagels are displayed in open baskets out on the floor and appear to be sold singly. Help yourself...to a pair of tongs! I was surprised and happy to see the tongs. Too bad there weren't any judiciously placed near the unbagged loaves. I stood next to a man who picked up around five separate loaves of wheat (and one bagette) in both hands in order to caress their middles and squeeze gently on their crusts. At one point it looked as if he were going to bring a loaf up to his ear. I expect he was hoping to hear the ocean. After all the fingering, he actually bought one! I bought a small, bagged rye loaf for £1.55. After watching the 'Bread Whisperer' do his thing on the wheat loaves, I left the naked bagels untouched. I'll be back, however, for some Hammentaschen and mini sows' ears!

Some of the staff can be a bit short, but on the whole they're friendly enough. They've got tables now to make it a little more cafe style but there are some things (mostly beef related) that they don't allow to be eaten in store. Most of their pastries look good and the ones that I've tried are tasty if a little stodgy. Not being close to a tube station, I don't visit that often but if given the chance, they're one of the better bakeries out there.

Excellent bagels! Better than Park Patisserie, not as good as Beigel Bake in Brick Lane which has…read morethe best in London, and which are actually a lot cheaper too. Nice thing about this place is that they have a large variety of pastries and bread, as well as several big coolers with prepared sandwiches, egg salad, cream cheese, etc., and they don't run out of bread in the late afternoon like some bakeries. Wish I could pay with a car for transactions under 10 pounds though. I don't get why that's such a problem everywhere. I mean, ffs, just charge me the extra 20p for the transactions costs or whatever, don't make me waste 15 minutes of my time walking to a nearby ATM.
