Most of their pastries look good and the ones that I've tried are tasty if a little stodgy. The food is traditional English cafe food at its best and it is extremely cheap. A cup of coffee is only 50p and sandwiches start from £1.50. It is also EXTREMELY good and I have now been converted to the genius of adding tomatoes, mayo and mustard to a simple sausage sandwich, an outstanding combination and a new favourite for me. There is also a patisserie inside although I confess to have not ever seeing much more than a few cream cakes on the shelves; perhaps a testament to it's local popularity.
