Absolute waste of money. They put on 2 movies instead of doing any of the activities that were advertised.

First time and last time here! Racial profiling (check) bad customer service (check) jerks (check)…read morecame here about 2 AM as it's a 24 hour bowling alley. Walked in and immediately got the vibes hmm we're probably not welcome here mind you it's 4 of us and one of us were white. From the cop to the workers everyone was acting weird. I had some water in my purse it was Saratoga so I can see how someone unfamiliar with the brand would think it's something else he told me I can't drink outside drinks in the establishment I said it's just water and tried to show him he said again no outside beverages...I continued to drink it because it's WATER you can't tell me not to drink water. I spent over $20 on their version of a touch tunes music system and they kept turning all my songs down. TF is that about? All the music was edited and it's 2 in the morning with no music playing at a 24 hour bowling alley. The final straw was one of the workers coming over and telling one of my friends "the orange ball was for women and children only"...MIND YOU none of us ever grabbed this ball to bring to our lane it was already there! Literally was one thing after the other my friend who drove said let's go we didn't even play our entire hour.

After reserving lanes for a birthday at a different bowling spot just to show up and find out that…read morethey didn't have lanes available for us, we were super bummed. Found this place on google and drove right on over. We were helped by Clyde. He was super friendly and attentive! We had an amazing time. Will be returning, highly recommend. So happy we ended up at Beech Grove Bowl!

Richard A. Carlucci Recreation And Aquatic Center - Very fun for all ages

I would try to lap swim there 5 days a week. On average while in the middle of my workout I would…read moreget kicked out of the lane by lifeguards for any number of reasons 3 days a week. Usually it was for their own use even though they had time on the schedule set aside for lifeguard use, they never thought twice about disrupting patrons who came during the scheduled lap swim time. When I complained, the person I spoke to told me to come at a different time. When I said I have a job and responsibilities that keep me on a tight schedule, I was told the lifeguards can't always make it during their scheduled time. I explained that seems unreasonable to me since I'm trying to adhere to the schedule they published and I don't think it's appropriate to alter that schedule without notice especially when we're in the middle of a workout. The person I spoke to said I was being unreasonable. I left and have never gone back.

The Recreation center is great for all ages and all activities! They have park space,…read moreindoor/outdoor pools and water slides, in addition to a workout facility. The facility itself is relatively new (I heard some people in the gym talking about having been going there for 20 years)! The gym maintains their gym equipment. In addition, they maintain the grounds really well. Someone is always patrolling the parking lot, Splash Island and cleaning the indoor areas. They offer various classes, including fitness and summer classes for the kids!!! Some other amenities I didn't expect -- lap swimming pool (indoor and outdoor), a lazy River and full free weight squat and bench racks. All staff are incredibly helpful and this place does a nice job training. It employs all ages and they host an annual "Getting Ready"-type training in the summer that prepares the lifeguard staff before opening. They're also fairly active on Facebook and good about communicating closings/delays. A great high school or college job for students. It's worth the price too! Any commercial gym membership costs the same for residents to just be a member here!

Chuck Klein Softball Complex

Chuck Klein Softball Complex

The softball complex has 3 fields. The fields are ok. They could work for a rec league. There is…read morelots of parking available here in their private lot. The fields have dugouts and some nice picnic table areas between them. The are lighted and better than average. The complex is named after Chuck Klein AKA the Hoosier Hammer. Klein played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates and led the National League in home runs four times, and won the NL Most Valuable Player Award in 1932. What you may not know is that there is a football field buried behind the softball fields, hence its real name, Chuck Klein Sports Complex. The football field needed a good mowing when I was there and the goal post are adequate. They will get the job done. I really like the patio area in the complex building that is up high and overlooks the fields. There are tables and chairs up there. At the front of the complex, near the entrance is a shelter with picnic tables. Next to the shelter is a horseshoe pit that has seen better days. In addition to that, there is some huge green space surrounding the shelter. You can do a lot of outdoor activities there. So, you do not need to actually be playing an organized sport to enjoy the park. This is a nice place to host a softball tournament or league. They have also hosted rugby, cricket and ultimate frisbee. I visited the park off season, and they were still working on the complex's maintenance. The staff here is awesome as well.

One of them dips pretty severely in center field so that's a bit of a hazard. Last night we lost by a pretty large margin. I wish there was some rule that wouldn't allow teams to run up the score past 20. It's not fun at that point.
