My kids have been going to Goddard since 2010. I like that Goddard Greenwood is very organized, both in the offices and in the classrooms. I like that everyone I've encountered has been friendly and helpful and seems to genuinely care about my kids' welfare, development and happiness. I receive daily activity reports via email and the Tadpoles app, and often also receive pictures throughout the day from the teachers showing me what's been happening that day - it really helps me feel connected! My kids have loved every teacher they have had. They also adore the meals and snacks they receive at school, and I'm very happy that they are offered nutritious and balanced meals. I like that my kids have been exposed to ASL, Spanish and yoga, and that my eldest has even been taking on-site piano lessons. I like that the entire facility - even the playgrounds and parking lot - are impeccably maintained and clean. I like that the school has organized special holiday celebrations - like trick-or-treating and an Easter Egg hunt. Finally, though we haven't taken advantage, I think Parents' Night Out once a month is a great option to have. My daughter started at the Greenwood Goddard School when she was 2 years old. She is now a freshman at UIndy (receiving generous scholarships due to her academic achievements) with aspirations to become a pediatric neurosurgeon! I will have to honestly say that I truly believe the educational foundation that she received from the Goddard school was a huge factor in her success and development both academically and socially. The program this school offers from a very young age is superior to anything else out there. They offer educational activities that are engaging developing your child's love of learning. They do not just baby sit your child. She was learning Spanish her first year at the Goddard school and is now minoring in Spanish in college due to a fostered love of foreign languages. The staff was superior and treated my child like family. She blossomed in this secure and loving environment. The owner, Steve, is truly invested in each of the children that are under his care. He is 100% involved, 100% approachable and 100% receptive to any needs. We are lucky enough to have the opportunity to see Steve Patel within the community at times and he always has remembered us and our child. Our 2 year old daughter has been at Goddard for about 5 months now. We have been very pleased with the experience so far. She enjoys and looks forward to going to school in the morning. The staff is very friendly, they communicate well and respond quickly to feedback. I feel better about the security at this school as usually the director or assistant director have to buzz you in, so staff is always present at the entrance. Also, the level of activity and organization of the activity is really impressive. I really like the special activities, such as when they have guests like firefighters, farmers and some animals, water days, musical guests and more. I really feel as if my daughter is getting a diverse experience. Finally, the digital communication and pictures throughout the day of our daughter is really enjoyable as well. read more

We had been at a different facility prior to coming to Goddard. While things at the other place weren't bad, they weren't exactly ideal either. We felt like our son wasn't progressing mentally or socially as well as he should have been. After a few week adjustment period, he began to gain more confidence and become more comfortable at Goddard. He has now been at Goddard for almost five months. He social skills and vocabulary have exploded since joining Goddard. He is excited to go to school every day and we feel like he is truly getting the care and education that he needs during this pivotal time of his development. Home away from home!!! Teachers love my child as their own and help him develop into his own little person! Front office staff helps with everything, big or small, and are always smiling! I only wish I could keep him here till college. I love walking the halls each day and waving to his old teachers! They have all made such a wonderful lasting impression.
