Located in downtown Logan made walking to dinner easy and a lovely experience with a stop to walk the tabernacle grounds on our way back.

Beaver Mountain has many issues that make it a frustrating place to ski. I've tried to overlook…read morethese as I've skied there from time to time over the years, but in late Dec 2024, I was harassed by a ticket checker in what turned out to be a humiliating experience. That experience has prompted this review. To begin, the lifts are all old and very slow. With only 1600 feet vertical on its biggest run and very little, if any, terrain that is actually above intermediate level, a good intermediate skier can descend from summit to base in about five minutes. The lift ride is a little more than about 10 minutes. So, three hours of "skiing" is actually two hours on the lift and one hour skiing, if you don't have to wait in line. But, if the lift lines are long, as they always are on weekends, the amount of time skiing as opposed to riding the lift and standing is even less, sometimes much less. The lifts are dangerous, especially the Beaver Face lift. There are no safety bars on the face lift or Harry's Dream lift and the safety bars on the Marge's Triple lift are not functional. Only the Little Beaver lift has a useable safety bar. The lifts are still loaded manually, often with distracted or belligerent operators. Tickets are scanned manually and lines are disorganized. Ticket checkers and lift operators are often rude to skiers and display annoyance at having to deal with them. Ticket and rental lines are long. Tickets are stamped manually, and a surcharge is added when purchased online, but still require standing in line to pick up. Parking is inadequate, especially on weekends. They advertise as family friendly, but the vibe I get is not family friendly. The attitude among employees impresses me as one of subdued aggravation at having to deal with customers. The only positive things about Beaver Mountain are the all-volunteer ski patrol and the ski school, although the latter is best suited for beginner and intermediate skiers. If you want a good ski experience close to Cache Valley, try Snowbasin. Snowbasin, a far superior resort, is only an additional 30 to 45 minutes from Logan. Snowbasin is more expensive than Beaver, but if your goal is to spend less money so you can in stand in line and put up with the aggravation of the place, then Beaver Mountain is the place for you.

We visited expecting a simple soak, but it turned into one of the most relaxing and memorable stops on our trip. The setting alone is incredible--nestled along the Bear River with canyon views that make you feel completely removed from everything. The mineral pools are natural and range in temperature, so you can move around and find your perfect spot. The water is rich in minerals and feels amazing, especially after a long day of exploring. What really stood out was how intentional the whole experience is. They limit the number of guests and require reservations, so it never feels crowded or chaotic--just calm, quiet, and honestly kind of magical. We also loved that you can turn it into more than just a quick visit. Between the camping, yurts, and cabins, it's easy to stay overnight and fully unplug in nature. Overall, Maple Grove feels like a hidden wellness retreat rather than just a hot spring. If you're looking to relax, recharge, and soak in some of Idaho's best scenery, this place absolutely delivers. Check out our video on our socials @reessroots

So far we've stayed in the Peacock, Teal, Latte and French Country rooms. Once, we came with my parents , and we shared the Lyon House across the street. Each time, we have loved our visit. The hospitality is fantastic-I always feel like I'm staying with a great aunt that loves to take care of her family. Really, it's that good. We have done the Dine and Unwind package, which includes a delicious dinner and a couples' massage. Best experience ever! If you're looking for a special getaway, be sure to consider this. The property itself has a lot of history-be sure to save some time to talk to Craig and Vicky about it's past. If you're looking to host an event, the upstairs area is perfect for that too!

One of the best decisions I've made in a long time. It's set in an old church that's been renovated to have five rooms in the lower level, and we stayed in the King room. The first thing they said when we walked in was feel free to explore and make yourselves at home which we totally did. Vicki and her husband Craig were great and they took care of us even making us a nice breakfast in the morning before we headed out. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a group of 83 people and filled every single room, yet the house never felt cramped. There was more than enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably, hang out, and enjoy different activities at the same time. Everything was spotless when we arrived. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, gym, movie theater, and pool area were all extremely clean and felt almost brand new. You can tell the property is very well maintained and professionally managed. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made cooking for a large group easy, and all the amenities worked perfectly. The views were absolutely incredible -- waking up to the scenery around Bear Lake was one of the highlights of the trip. It really made the whole experience feel special and peaceful. The management team was also fantastic. They were responsive, friendly, and always available whenever we had questions or needed anything. That level of support made planning and hosting such a big group stress-free. Overall, this place was perfect for a large group retreat, family reunion, or event. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and would definitely book again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a spacious, beautiful, and well-managed property!

We were even able to book a king suite at only a slight extra charge, and it was the roomiest and best laid-out suite we had ever been in! In fact everything was roomy and well laid out, from the check-in/baggage dropoff/pickup circle drive to the area with luggage trolleys just inside the sliding front doors to the front desk to the breakfast area! One of the things we liked most was the desk/table in the middle of the room that allowed two people to work on either side of it! Also the barn door covering the bathroom area was a really great privacy feature without taking up any extra space. Their breakfast was out of this world delicious! All the staff members we came in contact with were extremely polite and friendly! Definitely gonna try this hotel again, and next time hope to have more nights and maybe take a dip in the pool too!

Additionally, parking is free and there's plenty of it. It was fortuitous that even though it's on the main street, there aren't many cars passing by; this is nice as a ton of passing cars tends to keep me awake at night. They've also got a nice indoor pool sand jacuzzi. Their workout area is 25% bigger than the other places I've seen and features a lot of free weight dumbbells and disposable headphones. Overall, it was a nice stay if you're willing to spend a little more money.
