What initially created the need for the call was a gas fireplace that would not ignite I had previously tried ChatGPT, called a chimney sweep company, and even called the previous owner of my house, all to no avail. Within a few minutes of of arriving, Jordan was able to locate the hidden shut off for the gas fireplace and get it working pretty promptly. While here, he was able to notice a couple of other things that needed attention. My tankless water heater had been installed incorrectly by the previous plumber, and the technicians from Hukill's were able to manage that. And also, when it came to a clogged sink in our master bathroom, they were able to address that as well. By the end of our time together I had heard some good stories from Jordan, I was able to practice my French with Joseph and most importantly had a lot of small annoyances cleared up (literally) leaving my home in better functioning order than when they arrived. I contacted quite a few general contractors for my kitchen remodel and found this company. Serge is…read morevery responsive and gave me a detailed price quote but allowed me to customize the quote to meet my budget. He also found a cabinet manufacturer that would give me the look I wanted but within my budget. He allowed me to set up some payments based on completion milestones instead of paying everything up front and he also offers credit! The kitchen is looking amazing and I was very happy and surprised at the level of customization that took mid grade manufactured cabinets to highly custom cabinets once he finished with them. My only advice is to make sure you don't skip the sit down with your GC to discuss your lay out and sign off on it so that you don't have any misunderstandings. I was very busy and missed our scheduled meeting and ended up with a wrong cabinet ordered. Luckily, it was easily switched out for the correct one. Serge also did some extra work for me that I wasn't expecting in order to make up for the brief delay, which was a nice surprise. Serge has a great person doing his carpentry work for both rough in and finish, and he took the waviest of walls and scribed the trim and crown molding so that it looks virtually perfect. I hope to use Tex-Tile Construction again in the near future and was happy to know that he has very reasonably priced subs in several other key areas. Bottom line is that Serge tries very hard to please his customers, is accommodating and he even does some of the work himself when appropriate , which you don't see much anymore.

Excellent communication, beginning with their response to my initial request for information and throughout the whole project. The project manager and even the owner were available to respond to questions seven days a week. At the end of every day they provided a progress report along with what to expect the following day. They made regular visits to my house to inspect the work in progress. Even after completion of the project they stayed in touch to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. All the workers were courteous and professional. Each day they carefully cleaned the work and adjacent areas. At the end of the project a housecleaning service thoroughly cleaned and touched up. It amazes me how other companies and individuals didn't respond to my inquiries or ghosted me after promising to provide a quote. Importantly, ICO is local with brick and mortar offices in the metroplex. I would be leery of all those virtual companies who devote most of their resources to sales and marketing and then sub the work to random contractors.
