XL Sugar Free Fixer Uper

This is a great addition to Nevada, MO! This is drive thru or walk up only coffee shop really close to 1-49! The drive through is well maintained, and easy to maneuver. They also offer a shaded porch for waiting on your walk up order. They have a good menu, but patrons should be encouraged to order their go to favorite coffees - these baristas can handle it! Just the same, give their specialty drinks a try! They have creatively come up with some tasty cups of caffeine delight! The drinks are always consistently made, no matter who prepares your order! I was genuinely surprised at how quick they make the drinks, too! If they have 3-4 cars in line, don't be afraid! They will make your drinks super fast! I have tried several coffee drinks, and whatever coffee they use is smooth and flavorful! Their syrups and add-ins are quality! I also really love their teas! They are much less expensive than any of the other tea shops in Nevada, too! I don't know if they are packed with nutrients like some of the tea shops claim to be, but I do know that the ones at The Fix taste just as good, if not even better. Definitely check this awesome little coffee shop out!

Great coffee! Quick and convenient service! I did a walk up order at the window due to the vehicle I was driving. I will be back!

The Nutrition Den

Super excited The Nutrition Den opened in Nevada! We have needed something like this for awhile,…read moreso I am super grateful for that the owner invested in the community of Nevada! My first visit was today! The Nutrition Den hasn't even been open for a week, so they are still ironing out some bugs - but overall I am impressed. The space is cute, the staff of friendly and the products all use Herbalife ingredients. Jumping into Covid, The Nutrition Den is clean and staff were frequently wiping down counters during my visit. None of the employees wore masks, but that is typical of Nevada. If this concerns you, The Nutrition Den does offer curbside service. You can text the shop your order and text when you arrive and they will have someone bring your drink out! Herbalife makes premium products, so the shakes a s teas at The Nutrition Den are not cheap. Herbalife makes great protein powders, if you haven't tried them before. Yes, they are pricey, but with protein powder - you get what you pay for. What you get for your $$$ is a protein shake that is not chalky and a taste more like a dessert shake. A shake is $8, but keep in mind it is a meal replacement. I promise you they will have a flavor to suit your tastebuds! I tried a Peanut butter Oreo shake. The teas don't taste like a traditional tea. They are packed full of energy and they have antioxidants in them. A 32 oz tea is $10. Today I tried The Mermaid. If you post on social media and tag The Nutrition Den they will give you $1 off your purchase. The Nutrition Den offers wellness coaching. I don't know much about it, but it seems like a great service to have along with the teas and shakes. Definitely check it out when you have a chance! It will be a welcome treat when I get tired of the chalky protein powders!

URGENT READ - (you'll thank me later.) Ask anyone that knows me, I'm as honest as they come. I…read moredon't exaggerate, I'd sooner sugarcoat things just to be nice. I applied to The Nutrition Den. Today I was given a trial run. The manager, Keri Hankins, is a talker, and she told me how she is a very direct person, wants to give everyone a chance, and expects the same in return. Everything started out fine as she told me where things were and how to do the basics. Or was it the basics? I can't be sure. I made 1 shake, and made a mistake, but it made the kid who got it's day. And than she asked if I wanted to try a tea. I started and immediately realized that I'd messed up, and being the honest person I am, said so. She told me to just let her finish it then, and didn't even bother letting me finish it myself. From than on, every time I decided to take initiative, I got shut down, and she took over as if she was just going to do it herself and didn't bother even letting me help out. So I started standing around waiting for the first break in the morning lunch, so we could talk. Even so I offered one last time to do one of the drinks, and she completely ignored me. Well when a slow moment showed up, she didn't want to talk about it, she'd had enough, and I was told to leave. Now on top of that, I was able to get in there and read the ingredients on some of the powders they use. Herbal life meal shake powders. And they do have collegian and a few other powders. But as I observed and read ingredients, my heart sank. For anyone who cares about their health, this place is not right for you. Especially those with chronic illnesses. I am on a sugar free diet, trying to regain my health, because if I don't, I would not be here. The shakes and teas, may have good ingredients added to them, but the main ingredients counteract them. The sweet smell made me woozy, and while the powders themselves have reduced sodium and sugars, the toppings and flavors added are full of sugar/maybe sweeteners that are worse than sugar and dyes. And I will add the ingredients below, if you look carefully, you will see sweeteners in the powder like sucralose and dextrose, and artificial flavors and sweeteners. And for those of you who do not understand the need to stay alway from these things if you want to live a long healthy life free of dementia, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, etc... Just too much of these ingredients that are found in all kinds of everyday foods, are extremely detrimental. My own mother has studied to be a health coach, and has learned to stay clear of these things. If they were to put real fruits and food in these drinks and shakes, they would be healthier. Don't let the name fool you, this place is not nutritional. God Bless each and every one of you, and may you live long healthy lives.
