I made an appointment at the Apple Store and was so excited that I would finally be able to handle my cracked screen after waiting 2 weeks. Get there and was told I don't have Apple Care. Ugh. I decided to bypass all this and called around to a few places. I got the best quote from CPR and my questions were handled professionally. I quickly drove there and was in and out in maybe 30 minutes. Super Happy! And enjoyed a nice conversation with the owner, Arthur. Thank you!

They had one in stock and quoted me a price for installation. When I returned later that morning I found that they had been able to clean out the charging port and instead of a triple digit bill, it cost me four sawbucks . . . one quarter of the original estimate. In fact, moments after I left the store my iPad was having the same issues it was having before I brought it in. That same night the iPad cracked...again. I had the iPad for almost a year and have dropped it and it NEVER cracked. I brought it back to the store, I expressed my issue with an employee of the store and was basically told that they were not going to fix the issue. After a passive verbal exchange the police were called. He ended up negotiating with the officers instead of the customer and while he brought the repair price down significantly, I was still expected to pay for the hopes that my iPad would be fixed. This was also after I was given two different quotes over the phone. The employee on duty was belligerent and disrespectful as I tried to talk through my issue. Do not come here. Do not come here. DO NOT COME HERE. My iPad is still currently broken lmfao.

Two of the five pads were also removed in the process. I reached out to a few businesses on Yelp to see if anyone can solder a new battery connector and the amount of people who tried to highball me was ridiculous. They tried to charge me the cost of a whole new motherboard. Gale, from GB Wireless, responded to me with a decent price so I drove over there the next morning they were open. Since it wasn't just a solder service but also him having to figure out where the ripped pads lead, I had to pay a little more but it was worth it. Gale was very friendly and was great at explaining what he would need to do. He gave me the estimate and said it would be ready the next day. A few hours later, I get a call saying he was able to fix it and my Switch is working perfectly. I appreciate service like this. As the customer, it just feels like they go above and beyond. Now I know where to go the next time I destroy something!

Said that it was likely a need for me to replace the whole frame or whatever the port is connected to. I took it in and he took a quick look and said it was likely it just needed a little cleaning, no need to replace any part and that it could be done in 15 mins. My jaw dropped. I was so glad I didn't go to a mall kiosk because the last time this happened I had to pay nearly $200 to get a whole part replaced. I'm a happy customer and would come back here for any future phone repair needs!
