It has character and probably isn't very politically correct... but that's what I like it. I'm not sure if they have found a cook yet, but they used to do some fantastic chips, although the burgers weren't quite as good. The bar staff have always been really friendly and pleasant. The pub is delightfully traditional, not for the modern businessman, and maybe a miss for families but for an average Joe looking for a chat and a drink it's perfect. The bar staff are friendly, and you can even have a chat with the wonderful manager there. The pricing for drinks is average, which you would expect from a small pub in this day and age. It's not a perfect place though, outside needs a lot of work. The beer garden is hidden away, and is surrounded by brick walls and an old shed. There is also area for smokers, which badly put together. But it's all forgivable when you step back into the pub.
