I cannot recommend Defender Auto Glass in Mentor, Ohio, highly enough!…read more When I needed to replace my front passenger-side window, my first instinct was to call Safelite AutoGlass. Given their national reputation and brand recognition, I assumed they would be the obvious choice. However, I was absolutely shocked when they quoted me $450 for the replacement! After doing a little research, I discovered that replacement glass for my vehicle could be purchased online for approximately $80. Now, I completely understand that businesses have overhead expenses, labor costs, and need to make a profit, but $450 seemed excessive for the job. Thankfully, I decided to shop around, and that's when I discovered Defender Auto Glass in Mentor! They quoted me just $280 for the exact same job which was a savings of $170! That's nearly 40% less than what Safelite wanted to charge! But the savings weren't even the best part. Defender Auto Glass also offered mobile service, meaning they came directly to me to complete the replacement. The entire experience was fantastic, and the quality of their workmanship was outstanding! It's refreshing to find a local business that provides excellent service, quality workmanship, and competitive pricing without relying on a nationally recognized name. The biggest takeaway? Don't automatically assume the biggest company is your best option. Sometimes the smaller, local businesses deliver better value and an even better customer experience. Defender Auto Glass has absolutely earned my business and my recommendation. I would choose them again 10 out of 10 times! If you're in Northeast Ohio and need auto glass replacement, do yourself a favor and give Defender Auto Glass a call before paying those big-name prices! Five stars all the way!
