Just discovered this gem of a coffee shop in Oakland, and I'm already obsessed. Whether you're a…read morecoffee purist, a tea lover, or a smoothie enthusiast, this place has it all -- and does it really well. Their coffee, smoothie and tea menu is quite extensive and give a nod to Sweden with their Swedish Signatures. But what really sealed the deal for me? The authentic Swedish-baked goods. Where else in Oakland are you going to find cardamom buns and buttery kanelbullar that taste like they came straight out of a Stockholm café? Every bite was a cozy little trip to Scandinavia. Speaking of cozy -- the interior is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Lots of natural light, wood accents, and soft music playing in the background. It's the kind of place you can sit with a book for hours or catch up with a friend over fika (look it up -- then live it here!). Highly recommend this spot if you're in Oakland. Great drinks, unique treats, and a whole lot of charm. I'll be back. A lot.

The staff is very friendly and open to customizing your coffee exactly the way you like. The pricing is right in line with any quality coffee place. I purchased "the Nini" which is like a Caramel sweet foamy coffee and it was amazing. The also have quite the selection of Swedish pastries made here locally in Oakland. We tried the rhubarb tart and the pecan braid. The owner even offer to warm our pastries and of course we said yes! If you looking for a coffee break or a nice place to visit with some friends this is a great place to visit. A cute Swedish Fika Kafe! "Fika" is a Swedish tradition that involves taking a break to enjoy coffee or tea, and a pastry and engaging in social interaction. So bring a friend or make a new one right here.

My boyfriend just moved here and this was the first place we checked out! I am so impressed by…read moretheir lunch! I was expecting just an average sandwich, quick for lunch. However, it turned out to be one of the most delicious avocado BLT's I've ever had (I almost always order anything with avocado and bacon if it's an option). My boyfriends chicken salad was also amazing. The tomato bisque has large slices of tomatoes, which I loved! The chips came with the sandwich. The girl who waited on us was so sweet. Outside, they have the cutest patio. Perfect for catching up with a friend, a cute photo op, or even bringing your children! They have a small playground at the very back of their patio. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was told their lunch and dinner menu are the same! I will need to check out their breakfast soon!

We were in town for a couple days for my boyfriend's job and wanted to hit up a coffee place before…read morewe day tripped to Sioux City and found this place. The decor is incredible, and the outside area is so dreamy, I'd hang out there forever. We bought their cute little tumblers like good tourists. The rest of the experience was...flat. Our total for some of the cheapest (mid tasting) ingredients on the planet was nearly $80. The tumblers were both under $14 (just so you don't think of course it was $80, you got two tumblers). The trash was piled so high you couldn't put anything else in it. The coffee somehow had all kinds of extra ingredients and still just tasted like straight espresso. The food took so long we were nearly done with our coffees by the time we got it. There was a whopping one other person in there so it's not like they were in the weeds. But this spot?! This decor?! It's like an incredibly gorgeous person with a vapid personality. IDK how else to describe it.
