I stayed here for the night as I was passing through the area.  I had gone to college at Lock Haven…read moreUniversity 10+ years ago and had always been in love with the town's Victorian style homes.   So naturally, when I came back here to visit, I knew I wanted to stay in one of these historic buildings.   I booked a night at Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast and it was worth every penny.  The house was built in 1859 and today the entire interior is set up to look like it's the late 1800s (the bathrooms, however, are relatively modern, which is a plus. Don't worry, you won't need to use chamber pots here!).   One of the advantages of staying here, rather than staying in a traditional hotel, is that staying in Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast is itself a great experience.  If you're a history lover like myself, you will feel like it's the late 1800s while you stay in your room.  Usually when I travel, I try to stay outside as much as possible since there is nothing worth doing in the hotel.  At Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast, however, I felt that simply sitting in my room was itself a memorable experience.  That's how beautiful the Victorian elegance of the rooms are.  Adding to all this is the owner herself, Barbara.  Her friendly and warm personality immediately made me feel welcome in this beautiful home.   She was very accommodating to any request I had.   Over breakfast, we even had an interesting conversation about Lock Haven's history.  Her kind and welcoming personality made my over all experience at Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast even better than what I expected.  If you ever come to Lock Haven, don't bother with the traditional hotels.  Instead, travel back in time and immerse yourself in Lock Haven's history by booking a stay at Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast. There are restaurants nearby , a scenic walking trail , and a river front amphitheater where concerts take place. This is a well decorated Victorian style inn . This has been my first choice inn in this area. I find the few negative reviews are NOT true.

The beds are comfortable and there is an individual HVAC unit for the room with a thermostat. The modern, remote check in process was great and dealing with Lisa for booking and check in was great. Be sure to read the modern reviews and ignore the ones from years ago. The current management clearly put a lot of effort into modernizing. This is the nicest motel I've ever stayed in.

What a mess! Only the Lock Haven Grandview has been renovated. We stayed in the Williamsport Grandview in early June 2024. Both entrances to the hotel have been blocked by the highway department and the hotel appeared to be closed. I circled several times before discovering an unmarked entrance on a side street. Apparently there is an ongoing legal dispute over the entrance. The room was okay, clean with no smell typical of roadside motels, but the bedroom has no window and the check-in process was confusing. The on-site housekeeper was very helpful. The photos of the Williamsport Grandview rooms show a huge front window right near the beds but apparently this is for a single room, the second floor suite. Is misinformation the secret to business success?
