He was giving away this beer or as he put it "if you want it, take it," and yet, he was steering us away from drinking bad quality beer-which we would have paid $0 for. He even checked the back to see if there was anything left and sure enough there was. I am now 8 Samuel Smith's and 7 Woodchuck's richer and exactly 0 dollars, poorer, it makes me sad that this place is going. House of Brews, I'm sorry we barely got to know each other.

After a few locations and I couldn't get the coordination down, I contacted Strawberry Alley and Ale Works. This is where I was linked up with Miranda. She was so informative and made great recommendations about foods that would work best together after I mentioned some of the guests preferences. Of course, chicken tenders HAD to be on there for the kiddos. We were able to discuss table layouts and presentation times of foods. Makayla and Brent were there on the event day and were so friendly and professional. I know there were many drinks ordered and they were on their game and kept all the guests "hydrated". As the day got closer, even up to the last few hours, we were able to shift on the fly and there weren't any objections. Due to the weather, they didn't object when I asked if we could arrive early and have everything done there instead in the 100+ degree heat. My step-DOGer was able to participate, but had to go home because she was too young for the festivities. We were able to add our own flare to this normally scripted reception. The venue, the food, the staff and the atmosphere added great value to our wedding event. If you are ever in Clarksville, TN and need a place to host an event, I recommend Miranda and the staff at Strawberry Alley and Ale Works, you will not be disappointed. We tried several wines and ended up choosing two bottles that we loved. The Governor's Red and a Merlot. The winery has some great things to choose from outside of wine. I snagged some cheeses, wine salt, and trinkets. The vineyard is beautiful and very picturesque. Lots of picnic benches to sit on and eat or sip your wine. Will definitely be back with our picnic table cover and to catch the live music. Highly recommend for a date or a day trip. If you come on a day where the food trucks or aren't available, pack a charcuterie box or picnic bag, a little Bluetooth speaker and grab a bottle of wine to enjoy outside. They do allow for tastings of their many boozes but they limit it to 6 or 8, which is very smart. I think we did not have that many our recent trip. Since we purchased 6 bottles our first trip (they give a discount for 6+ bottles), we were already familiar and wanted to try some of their new items. Both times we visited, we brought in our dog and she received a lot of attention. They have dog toys so of course I had to buy her one each time. Now those are really expensive! The prices vary for their bottles, maybe averaging about $55. Some are cheaper and many are more expensive than that. They also sell merchandise in the same room you do the tastings. We never have time but they do free tours and I wanna say they last about 45 minutes. It is in the middle of nowhere so it's not like you can make a day out of it any stay in town, while filling up an entire itinerary for a day. We really enjoy their bourbon and keep stock of the Blueberry and Mint Julep flavored bourbons. Everyone is always hospitable when we visit and that motivated us more to support them!
