First time at the eye place. My mother goes here for her eye doctor so I decided to see the same eye doctor she is seeing. The lady was so nice, her name is Miss Cohen she is one of the optometrist here at the eye place. I had my eyes checked and my eyes actually went from an eight to a six; which I guess is an improvement from my current standards. I picked out three pairs of glasses. One for work, one for play, and a new pair of sunglasses. I've never heard of the Costa brand of sunglasses - what I really liked is one of the male eye employees told me that the nose pads get sticky when you sweat so they don't slip off your face which I loved because I work outside currently. I honestly can't wait till I have my next eye exam in a year everyone was so nice and if you're around the area or you live in the area and you're looking for a new optometrist I definitely recommend the eye place! 10/10 read more

I was really looking forward to coming here after reading the reviews. But everything went downhill. The tech that was adjusting my daughters glasses had bent the frame so hard that it broke in half. She proceeded to tell us that she will "try" to find a replacement frame in which we would be responsible in paying for. Are you serious? My husband asked why and the tech said she had to go find a frame. She returned to tell him he will not have to pay for the temporary replacement. They broke my daughters Ray Ban and temporarily replaced it with a no brand name, fine. But instead of finding a childs frame, they put her lenses in an adult frame. Which is obviously too big for my 10year old. The new pair of glasses that have to be ordered? Wait time is two weeks. We left, called and spoke with the manager and she gave us an explanation of why my child had to be temporarily fitted in an adult frame, which still makes no sense to us. Out of the entire store and with a second location in Hamlin, they were not able to find ONE childs frame (size 19 or 20) that would've fit my daughter. She understood our frustration and said they will expedite our order which would take approximately 3-4days. Better than the original 2weeks they told us. I followed up with them by the third day and after multiple calls, I was told her new glasses had arrived and ready for pickup at almost 3pm. We went next day and was given her new glasses in a pretty looking bag. They didn't recommend or offer my daughter to get fitted. Pretty much "here's your new glasses, bye". I had to ask if she can be fitted and if any adjustments may/would be needed. Sure enough, it needed adjustment. How were you going to give us a new pair of glasses and not have the customer get fitted? They get two stars because of how helpful the manager was in expediting the order and the doctor was nice. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place and we will not be returning. read more

The staff here are friendly enough except for the fact that they continuously push you to buy glasses and/or contacts through them even when you've mentioned multiple times that you don't want to. One time I had to ask for a printout prescription 3 times because they kept saying "well since you're buying glasses through us" and I kept saying "no, I am not buying glasses through you." For my contact lens fitting, I got a call from the office saying they had an opening so I could come in a half hour earlier than planned. I arrived 10 minutes before my new appointment time and proceeded to wait for 50 minutes. Needless to say, I was annoyed that I had to wait so long considering that I could've come in at my original appointment time and only had to wait 10 minutes. The only redeeming quality of this place is the medical staff. The optometrist and her tech were both very good at their jobs and very helpful. I'd give them 5 stars, but the rest of the practice just made the experience so much worse that I can't decide if it was worth it. read more

I was please with The Eye Place when I went there to get my safety glasses for work. Very friendly folks and happy to help. I was really happy when I discovered they were an approved provider for my insurance. I decided to give them a try. From making my appointment online (BONUS), then easily changing it when I realized I chose the wrong time. I arrived early and they didn't waste any time helping me choose new frames and new safety glass frames as well. One stop shopping...AWESOME!! Paige got me set up with the preliminary exam, quickly, then on to Dr. Owen she was very pleasant. I think this might have been the most thorough exam I've ever had. Attempted to schedule an eye examination, I could tell the woman was getting short, but I let it go and after selecting a day and time she asks for my birthday and then asks if my insurance changed. I said I don't think so but I have my insurance information if that helps. She says I can't find you in the system has your insurance changed. I said I don't recall if it's changed, she says well I can't find you in the system at this point is said that's ok I will find another vision office, at that point she hung up. read more

I have been a patron of The Eye Place for several years. The doctor is super sweet and detailed. Their equipment is up to date and mostly computerized. This makes the process fly by. I have had to wait for my appointment with every visit so I use my time to look around the store for frames. They sell a long line of designer brands and have excellent quality frames. Their employees are top notch and super helpful. Their assistance is not only useful but it's enjoyable to work with them. I have been extremely happy with every pair of glasses that I have purchased from them. Admittedly .. even though I LOVE their customer service I sometimes skip out on purchasing my eyeglasses with them after receiving my eye exam. Although I would prefer to purchase my eyewear with them their inventory is often low. When I made a comment on the sparse selection the return response was that they have been very busy and sold out. I believe that because the store is always filled with customers. Since I don't like restricting my choices I now bounce around to different stores to find exactly what I like. read more

Great service and beautiful location! I went in for my annual exam for a new prescription for my contacts. Dr. Lee was very friendly and knowledgable. I don't know if I got a good appointment time, but I felt like I was in an out within an appropriate amount of time. The staff was very friendly as well. I was given two different options for contact lenses with different price points so they are definitely budget friendly. I felt very safe with the safety measures they have implemented during the pandemic. The doors are locked and they do not let anyone in who has not had their temperature checked. Everyone is also required to wear a mask. Will definitely return! read more

Anytime I come in they are always sweet and nice. Also it's rare to have a place staff their business with enough help. I've been going for 4 years and never had to sit for more than 3 minutes. They are always on time. I did have a mistake once - but due to the manufacturer. But not only did they correct it, they insisted on additional work at no charge. The point is I didn't feel awkward as they offered. I don't know what their pricing is, but I know they explain everything with my insurance in a way it's simple to understand. Very friendly staff! However, I have a high prescription and I overestimated their ability to give me an accurate prescription. I originally went in for contacts around September. It was my third attempt to wear contacts, but my difficulty is not the process of putting them off and on rather than the comfort level. Most contacts dry my eyes so bad it's hard to take them off. Nonetheless, I went in for the contacts and they were the wrong prescription and uncomfortable again. Instead of letting me try the other 2 brands they supposedly ordered for trials they discouraged me from trying again. Which I didn't bother since the prescription was wrong anyway. I went back in November for a pair of glasses. I received them but they definitely were the incorrect prescription again. Everything was blurry and I had an instant headache. The doctor check them and agreed they were wrong again so they ordered a different pair. When I finally got those, they were wrong as well!! At first I thought it was simply that my eyes needed to adjust but after a miserable week with them I realized it wasn't going to get any better. I ended up cutting up my losses and going else where. Tl;dr: High perceptions/astigmatism beware. Not accurate perceptions. read more

I came here for my annual check up last year and forgot to leave a review. Everyone is very friendly and customer service oriented. The examination room was very clean. The doctor is great. She was very efficient, and I was impressed by how high-tech everything was. I ordered my pair of glasses. Unfortunately, they don't prepare their glasses in their office, so I had to wait a few days for my fabulous eyeglasses. Well, it turns out my fabulous glasses broke, and I came back today, hoping they'd be able to help me out. I was prepared to shell out a pretty penny to save my glasses because I really love the frames, but they were able to help me. I am very grateful that they went above and beyond, and I am definitely planning on going back. I highly recommend this practice. read more

Terrible hostile customer service, and I was given a WRONG PRESCRIPTION! I got an exam and was given trial lenses just to find that the prescription was dead wrong. I went elsewhere to get another exam and got a correct prescription. I then went back to Eye Place to request trial lenses in that script and the doctor scolded me that I'd need another exam with her. My mother also had a horrible experience trying to price glasses with the saleswoman. Avoid. read more

Overall: Great service and have been a customer for several years. 4.5 stars overall but customer service it's easy to round up to 5. Service: 5 stars- Dr. Quach has been a great doctor! Very detailed, takes time with you to include answering any questions and office upgrades to new equipment as needed so some of the latest technology is there. Had a problem for years and she correctly diagnosed, provided a treatment plan, and maintenance plan to keep it from/limiting its return. Staff has always been super helpful, patient, and friendly. Environment: 4 stars- Nice display of glasses and some seating while your waiting for doctor office. Your appt. will probably slightly be behind 0-10 minutes based on the Dr spending the time with her patients. Good selection of frames. read more

I have been to The Eye Place here in Windermere twice. The first time I came in, I took my husband for his eye exam and wanted to get my glasses fixed with new nose pads. They advised they carried none that would fit my glasses but would gladly order the correct nose pads for my glasses and several weeks later I came back. They ordered the wrong ones, failed to communicate that and did not say anything until they handed my my glasses with large and non fitting nose pads. The woman who came out with my glasses said: "We ordered the wrong nose pads for you, but we just put this large one on we will just cut the length in half they will be fine. ". My Lindberg glasses were by no means fine with this and I asked she leave my glasses as they were previously removing that. I asked why no one bothered to tell me they did not have the part and just did what ever they wanted and she could not look at me and just said they would call when they get the piece. I advised it would no longer be necessary, as I would go elsewhere. I decided to go back several months later because I thought my experience was a one off. I scheduled an appointment for a contact lens fitting and eye exam. The staff here are kind and welcoming. I did not leave with the best impression and or experience because much like the other person whom reviewed with two stars, I too have astigmatism. Although I got a thorough eye exam and pupils dilated and all. The prescription for the trial lenses was off. I had my exam and was asked to come back in a week or two after they got the shipment of the contact lenses for me. I came back a week and a half later after they called me to try the lenses and when doing the eye exam the doctor agreed they were off, none the less sent me with several boxes to try the lenses that had the prescription that was off!!!! Upon check out, a very nice young lady suggested, that the most economical option for me to do was, to purchase the lenses for a year. The idea of pre ordering contacts that were not even the right prescription and doing it for a year did not seem right to me. Also I came in for a trial to find the right pair for me! I wore the lenses once and never again... The contacts fitted were not the correct fitting and I was not to purchase a year worth of this.. I thought it was inappropriate and poor form to offer just to make a sale. I understand that is their job too. I have gone elsewhere to find my needs. read more

Store: The eye place is like a hidden Gem! The Store is located in a very nice area, easily assessable, with good parking. They carry high quality products with the latest styles. The store is nicely laid out so it is not clouded or you have to wait for help. They have an optometrist on site. Help: The staff is very knowledgeable but more importantly they are all very nice, helpful, and have been a pleasure to do business with. It is nice to be greeted with a smile and treated like a customer! Price: The pricing is fair for the quality of product they offer, recognized all manufacture promotions, and with insurance have been no more than other places I have visited. Customer service: Probably the most important for returning. Not only are they great to work with when there has been a mix up they are on top of it to make sure you are satisfied. Based on some reviews in here, I decided to make the trip to The Eye Place as my first ever eye checkup. That's right, I've never had my eyes examined. While I've never felt the need, it was certainly time to put my "perfect vision" to the test. First, I checked with my insurance to ensure that this place was in the network, and it was. Great. As for my appointment, the location is easy to find, there is plenty of parking outside of the facility and the facility itself was very nice. The machines appeared to be in good shape and they cleaned everything before I touched it. There is hand sanitizer everywhere, which was nice. The staff - everyone from the receptionist to the doctor's assistant and the doctor herself - were very friendly and super informative. My every question was answered and then some! The doctor's assistant was very explicit about each and every step of the exam. Also, the doctor was very informative about my vision and the results she was able to gather. Overall, I am certain to come back next year, as well as buy my reading prescription (gasp!) directly from them as they have a store in their facility and can also order anything from those vendors. read more

I had to schedule a last minute appointment with them because I thought I was covered under another insurance provider and luckily they're able to see me after the weekend. I must have called Julie at least 3 times within a hour period to ask different questions and each time she was super helpful and very nice. When I called the other company to cancel, they tried selling to get me not to cancel, which at first was incising but after speaking with Julie and my insurance provider I realized it was just more cost efficient to go here. Dr. Quach and her team were so caring. I have a neurological condition that has caused difficulties with my vision. Dr. Quach was incredibly thorough, patient, and more than anything, she actually cared. She thought about multiple options that could improve/help my vision, and would even take a moment to stop, step back, and think some more. I could see her wheels turning. They have a "wellness" exam option that is an additional $35. I highly recommend this. This could identify a real/potential health problem... even if you are simply at risk or in the beginning phases. It also will create a record of images and findings, therefore any changes will be noticed upon comparisons from previous exams. I will never go anywhere else after my experience today. read more

This place is great! The staff was very friendly and the doctor was amazing! I had to take my 2 boys in to get their vision checked and it was a great experience. The doctor was patient with the kids and I felt like she took her time to make sure she was giving my youngest the best prescription for his needs right now. Wow. I have found my new eye doctor. Everyone in every position is helpful, patient and explains everything. I never knew how to take a proper eye exam until I went here. I got poor service and too strong a prescription from my former eye doctor, so I was coming and paying out of pocket. They gave me a couple discounts to ease the financial burden. I went here last December to get an eye exam and new glasses. The doctor was great and the staff also.I ended up getting regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses. This was right before the new year and there was a big snow storm up north where the lab is. They went above and beyond to make sure I got my glasses when promised. This place is absolutely the best. I still go for regular maintenance like nose pads, glass cleaner etc. The staff is always very gracious to me and my girlfriend. I will definitely be going back when it's time for my next exam and new glasses. The selection is also great with all the popular styles and I think the prices were very reasonable. read more
