Absolutely terrible experience at Quigley Eye Specialists / The Eye Associates on Piper Blvd. I walked in and wasn't greeted or even acknowledged by any staff. There were multiple signs posted directing patients to check in via QR code and the Clearwave online system, which I followed. Then I sat for 50 minutes with no communication--just waiting for my name to be called. When I finally approached the receptionist, she looked up my appointment and said she needed to get the manager. The manager came out and told me they had called to reschedule my appointment and left a message. I received no message whatsoever. To make matters worse, she tried to rebook me weeks out and at a different, less convenient location. When I asked why no one informed me sooner or checked on me while I sat there for nearly an hour, her tone immediately turned rude and defensive. She asked if I had signed in on a piece of paper--despite the fact that all signage instructed digital check-in only. I told her I followed their process exactly, yet she continued to speak to me with clear frustration and condescension. The way I was treated--especially by the manager--was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. I was the one who wasted my time, yet she acted as if I was the problem. I canceled my appointment and will not be returning. Patients deserve better communication and basic respect. read more

The receptionist had her back to the counter, I had to ask if I was in the right place. Then we had to waite a half hour while they calibrated the machine for a field test. Once they took me back she had trouble getting it on me and someone else had to help. She put two controlers, one on each wrist and told me to push the button when I saw the flashing light. I did not know which button to push since some where in the middle. The test was half over when she said it did not matter which one I pushed. Why was I given two. Horrible time there. We do not think they were prepared to do this test. read more

Just had the SMILE eye surgery yesterday with Dr. Robin. He's great. I decided to have this done because glasses give me a headache and my eyes were starting to reject my contact lenses. He was very descriptive of how the procedure was going to go at the pre-op appointment and then went back over it again on the day of surgery. He gave me his phone number for any questions I may have and was actually pretty responsive. The eye drops that were prescribed at my normal pharmacy were put on back order, so his staff had them sent to a pharmacy they knew had it. Minutes after the surgery, I cried because I could actually read the road signs! I haven't been able to do that without glasses or contacts since I was 10. My post-op appointment today was amazing! My results are phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for better! I am so so happy. Dr. Robin and his staff literally just made my quality of life so much better. Forever grateful! read more

They took me in as I had an eye emergency. I waited probably 45 minutes, which was understandable as I was an emergency patient same day. While I was there, I decided since it was Quigley and I should get an eye exam also while I was there and have them make my glasses. My glasses are very difficult as I have prism in both lenses. I received my glasses and they warned me that I should wear them for quite a while so I would adjust to the transition and the prism and the progressive. I have always worn progressives with transition and I have always had prism as I have a muscle imbalance in my eye both eyes actually. I took my prescription and walked into the optical gallery. I found the frames I wanted they were from Italy. And I ordered and paid $1400 as I was up charged for the fancy lenses because after all it is my eyes. And that's true. It is my eyes and I don't have a problem spending money on my own health. When I got back three weeks later was completely freaking useless. The eye exam was incorrect. The optician failed to truly measure my eyes to make sure that the progression in the lenses was in the correct spot. They wanted 50% to replace the lenses as I was just over the required free replacement. So I wrote off my $1400 is being a dumbass and I went back to eye associates in Bradenton. Best experience of a lifetime. I trusted my eyes to them before, and I should've driven up to Bradenton and trusted my eyes to them again. I highly recommend Dr. Dubin at eye Associates in Bradenton Florida. He does go to some of the other eye Associates offices, but he is worth the drive and he is worth the time. I then saw Katie and their optical gallery and my glasses are absolutely perfect and I am such a happy camper. read more

As a many years patient of Quigley Eye, take my advice, steer clear of this company. I had catract surgery, I was given the option of special lenses so that I would never have to use glasses again for a $4900.00 additional charge. I opted for this upgrade, and paid the full amount in advance of the surgery as required. My vision now is WORSE than before the surgery. After a failed attempt to correct the problem they have advised me that they can do nothing to fix the situation. Hence my vision is worse and I paid almost five grand for worse eye sight!!!!! I really don't get all the negative reviews! I've been a Quigley patient for a number of years now and have always been treated very professionally. Everyone is always friendly and I'm seen within minutes of arrival. I'm always made aware of extra charges beforehand, and they deal with my insurance. I just walk out the door and it's all done! The people that work here are great, however the entire process of getting ahold of someone and checking on prescriptions, glasses, etc. is absolutely horrible and flawed.. I suggest you get rid of the call center that does not work and stresses your patients out and allow people to get in touch with someone at the actual location...... VERY FRUSTRATED! read more

Be prepared to wait a long time. I think it's unreasonable to wait well over an hour to an hour and a half after your appointment time to complete your eye exam. Bring a book or magazine to the exam room because after the assistants do the preliminary exam you will sit and wait...and wait...and wait until the doctor comes in. read more

Customer care is non existent at the Piper Boulevard and Collier Avenue locations! I spent $1,400 on two pairs of glasses. I was told the turnaround time to pick up my glasses was 3 weeks. I stopped by the Piper location (after 3 weeks) as no one in the Optical Department answers the phone and the mailbox is full. The front desk said the glasses may be ready for pick up but they are not checked in yet. A few days later I again stopped in and was told they had arrived and to come back and pick them up at the front desk as no one is available to fit them for me. (They are so wide they are falling off my face). I decided to go to the Collier Avenue location where the receptionist said they also have no one in their Optical Department but are looking into hiring someone. Her suggestion was to go to Walmart, Costco or Target and they will tighten my glasses at no cost! She got irritated as I explained that I paid $1,400 and Costco or Walmart would be willing to fix my glasses but Quigley cannot be bothered to back up their products once you have ordered! You pay top dollar for your frames and glasses then they want nothing more to do with you. Maybe Target, Walmart and Costco is the better option! NEVER AGAIN, UNPROFESSIONAL AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

Some of the offices are closed with no notice of the closing posted nor are there any out going phone messages that provide updated info of when, or of, they will reopen. I rated them 1 as 0 was not an option. They tested my eyes with my contacts in place....a huge mistake. I ordered 2 pair of glasses, 1 for nearsightedness and 1 for farsightedness not knowing about this mistake only to find they only corrected my vision with contacts in. In other words, the glasses were useless. In 3 subsequent letters, I asked that I not pay the +/- $28 only to be ignored each time. Fearing they would try to ruin my credit, I finally relented and paid the bill. I also gave them a coupon in the eyeglass store which they said did not apply to the eyeglasses I bought even though there was no reference on the coupon as to restrictions. BY FAR, the worst experience I had with any professional group in my 60+ years. What a waste of my time and money....the WORST. read more

Quigley is the best at what he does, but ision in elders is hard to predict. Est for Cataract surgery...he is a master...but many of his underlings are Clinton's and along for the ride. There is no really great optomologist in so Fla...it's either the big boys like him and SW Fla Eye Specialists which is a factory type practice, or the unknowns. Take good care of your eyes and never purchase a pair of eye glasses from a doctors office. Wake up. And try vision works or Walmart,,they are the best. read more

The woman running the desk needs to find another line of work outside of customer service. I just returned from the second visit to this office. My first visit included an eye exam and pupil dilation from a Tech and 3 minutes with the doctor. I received a copy of my prescription and left. When I got home, I noticed a significant change in the prescription from my previous one, just a year ago. I wanted to buy new glasses, but I wanted to make sure I had a good prescription. Today, I went back to the office, with a copy of my previous prescription and the new one and asked for an explanation of the significant change. I was "squeezed in" about 30 minutes later and got another exam. By this time, I guess I had a reputation of questioning the results of the previous exam, and the staff didn't like that, because everyone, even the doctor, seemed to have copped an attitude - compared to my first visit i.e., no smiles, no thank-you's, just instructions. The new 5-minute exam, by the doctor this time, did in fact, show that the first one was not totally correct! I got a new prescription that showed differences when we compared the two. I went to their optical shop to pick up a copy of the new prescription and met with a "not so pleasant" optician. She asked if I wanted to look at frames. I told her I did not. I did ask her to measure my pupils and she flatly refused. She said, "You can get that done where you buy glasses." Obviously, she knew I wanted to order glasses online, instead of paying their outrageous prices, but I thought since I was a patient/customer, she would do it - I was wrong!) I should have expected that from her, because on my first visit, I witnessed her being very very rude to an older couple discussing eyeglass issues. In fact, she was so rude to them, I left the optical shop, even though I had found two frames I was interested in. So, I won't return to the Eye Health office in Naples and they probably don't care. read more

I moved here in August from Minnesota and as most people know it can be a challenge to find all new health care providers. Quigley was recommended by a friend here. Initially it started out ok. I was diagnosed with severe dry eyes and some other medical terms. Again just moving here and not having insurance kick in for a few months with my husbands new job. We had cobra during the transition with some issues with coverage all of which was discussed with all concerned. My last visit was to do a lipid scan which I was told at a previous visit was no charge. At this visit they were out of some sample drops for my eyes so I had some what I thought and was told no charge plugs put in each eye. These were only good for 5 days at the bargain price of $189 dollars per eye. I would have never agreed to have these put in at that price for a "let's see if this works" if I did misunderstand it would have been nice to have had them communicate the price of this. I called the office several times after I got the bill to discuss and was told they would get back to me. Nobody got back to me! I finally got my answer by me calling for the 4th time. It is what it is and I will have to pay for something I thought would be no charge. It's not worth my credit! But I will be finding a new eye specialist! read more

We have gone to Quigley for a couple of years. My husband said he always felt rushed by the doctors, as if they were too busy to answer your questions. Normally, it would take at least 20-30 minutes before we were called out of the waiting room. We were able to tolerate that. Of course, they made a point of telling us that if we were 10 minutes late for any appointment they would have to reschedule. Therefore we were ALWAYS 10 minutes early for any appointment. Yesterday, we waited ONE HOUR (in addition to the 10 minutes early) with no end in site. We have decided to terminate our relationship with Quigley Eye Specialists. Their lack of respect for their patients cannot be tolerated by us anymore. read more

I had 2 cataract surgeries (each eye) one week apart, a year ago by Dr. Quigley. He is a very kind and compassionate doctor and very professional. The whole office treats you like royalty from start to finish. He follows up even after a year: he will stand behind any surgery or issue that you may have. I saw a few others of his staff also, and felt they were very professional and knowledgeable. Very neat and clean and very pretty office: friendly nurses and front desk staff and never had to wait very long. Very happy that I chose the right office to have my eye work done. read more

Then on to Dr. Emanuel Lewis, who also was brusque and not interested in patient or listening. This place is a mill. Not good, would never return. My 73 year old neighbor had never seen a doctor in his life, much less a specialist. I took him to Dr. Quigley on the free senior eye exam offer and Dr. Quigley found that he needed cataract surgery. My neighbors' only income is a small social security check so he could never have afforded the exam, much less a surgical procedure. Dr. Quigley performed not only the exam but surgery on both eyes at no cost. My neighbor is absolutely thrilled now that he can see the colors on his TV set, and I'm happy that he can drive without being a hazard to others on the road. read more
