Went here as a kid and it was very nostalgic to go back but ohmygod the ticketing is so poorly run…read more Even if you get a ticket online, you need to wait in the absurdly long line to get a sticker. It was like 20 minutes and they only had one person at the booth. Waiting outside in heat with no shade is just wild, especially with the world's slowest ticket process ever and kids waiting as impatiently as I was in a line to an even longer wait. There is also a machine that kids love to press that I actually thought was construction. It was so loud we had to leave that whole area of the museum. Also the listed drone flying times were just a little late-- we waited for 11:45 and no one came out until 11:50. It was fine but I was worried it wasn't happening! All this aside, there is a lot to learn and look at, even for adults! They have exhibits about dinosaurs, the human body, moon geology, illusions, gravity, and more.

There are lots to do for kids and adults. They recently added or renovated the planetorium, it's state of the art and the sounds and picture is awesome! The show was great and there are several choices for shows at different times of the day. Yes, they also have cocktails and food! I was very impressed with the quantity and overall experience here....highly recommend for kids and adults.

Bought parking through the fairgrounds website. Getting into parking was easy and I was navigated to my gate entrance to enter. They had so many food, drink, and shopping vendors. Live music and entertainment from both the crowd and the people running the stage. Great time and a lot of fun!

Parking was $15 on-site & fair entrance was free for me with my FL medical professional license ID card since I went on a promo day for it. The best part of the Fl State Fair was the petting zoo of baby goats, donkeys, llama alpacas which was free to enter & pet at your own risk of poop & pee from the animals. Some of the alpacas were very agreeable to selfies lol so funny they knew the assignment well. 5 stars for the animals & zero stars everything else. All the food was terrible. I definitely wouldn't go back again. Even if the entrance fee or parking was free... not worth it. My friends that were born & raised in the Tampa Bay Area told me not to go that it's not worth it... should a listened to them lol. None of my Florida friends wanted to go that have lived in Tampa their whole life. I went for the experience. I didn't go on any rides, my germ radar was on too high alert lol.

We were trying to make it to the Gasparilla Children's Parade, but to our dismay, the Jolley Trolley was completely full by the time it passed through Ybor. So GameTime was an appealing Plan B. It has a TON of interactive arcade games, mini-bowling (which we did not do), and a restaurant/sports bar with plenty of TVs. Like other arcade places, GameTime is a popular venue for hosting kids' birthday parties; or you can just grab a game card, load it with $$ and receive credits with which you can play games. They offer timed play (e.g. $25 for 1 hour with 500 fixed e-tickets for prize redemption), or you can choose to purchase a reloadable card where you decide how much money you want to spend and you accrue tickets as you play/win. We loaded our card with $25 which yielded 100 credits. Optionally, you can load a custom amount and receive 4 credits for every dollar. With our four-year-old, we blew through the $25 pretty fast and ended up adding another $25 (giving us a total of 200 credits). If we had just loaded the card with $50 initially, we would have had 25 more credits (225). Overall, I would say value is pretty par for the course. The prize counter is where I felt they were lacking (compared to Main Event and other names in the industry). The games were fun and only a handful were not working or malfunctioned. That did not deter us as the place was pretty dead that afternoon.

You can choose meals that correspond with different game playing card deals. I ordered the fried tomato BLT that had a bit of a BBQ sauce of some sort on it, but it still went together well. Their fries are a cool texture and shape and came fried and salted to perfection. Our bartender was attentive and let us know happy hour began from 4-6 p.m. I was worried this place would be a loud raucous venue like some other game venues, but much to my delight, it was not. If you're in Ybor, this is a great spot to come with or without kids.
