The equipment seems to be getting a little old and worn and there are some tech issues. Our session had one of us unable to start as their character was flying around the room and noise cancelling seemed broken or there was another microphone in the room causing our voices and ambient sounds to repeat and echo to the point we couldn't understand any of the instructions during the intro. They didn't restart or do anything so we missed the first 3-4 minutes of what was going on. They are always nice so still leaving a 4 just so hopefully they see and correct these issues.

My son and I felt like family when we were there. Michael and Danielle work very hard to provide a safe environment and explain in detail how to get the most out of your time. We would never have found this business if not for the cancellation of a birthday present we planned for our son. After calling and speaking with Danielle, she was very empathetic and sympathetic about our situation. I could not have found a better option for my son and I than VX Arcade. They have updated some things since I was there opening week for the better. Yes, Virtual Reality is expensive but it is expensive every where that has any type of VR. There is a wonderful variety. From horror to fun. From rides to shoot outs to battles. There is something for everyone. Don't like virtual reality but your crew does? They have mini iPad games at the table area with solitaire and uno and other games. They now have wine, beer champagne, soda, and lemonade and monster drinks. They have chips, peanuts, and candy. You can buy packages for time. Which helps on price. I believe they have specials for all you want for a couple hours a few times a month/ please call them for specials they offer. I do recommend Dramamine if you tend to get motion sick. It is a fun time. It's nice to have something like this to do local instead of going to Orlando. It is family owned. We solved the case!!!…read more My son wanted to do an escape room for his birthday. I called up some friends and we signed up for Murder on the Manatee. Not sure how we pulled it off with two 11 year olds and a 9 year old running around and touching everything, but we did it. The kids had the best time and were begging to go back to try another room before we even left the building. This place will be a regular for school breaks and fun activities.

It was a super fun experience and had all kinds of cool puzzles for us to solve. We had to get help from the game-master but they let us struggle before giving us clues... We literally solved the adventure with only 30 seconds to spare.... Now that we know how this works we def. would like to do one of the other adventures.
