My husband and I have been members for 3-years. We enjoy several aspects of the club and have…read morefound the facilities and programs to be very rewarding. I use the pool regularly, even though I swim like a cat, I don't feel judged. The pool is comfortable and accessible. My husband uses the work out and cardio equipment and we both attend different classes. Tai Chi has been particularly good. I also use the spa and go for a 30 minute buff and fluff twice a month. But we've had guests and family use the spa and there is every level of massage, in addition to other spa services. The lockers rooms are clean and nicely updated. The club is bougie but works for serious athletes too.

Nice amenities, cleanliness, and equipment. However, management has left a bad taste in my mouth…read morewhich sadly will result in me and my family, no longer considering being members. Earlier this year, I tried to use a guest pass on my grandparents membership. I was unaware of how the process works, you know how instructions from grandparents can be. After a few phone calls I admit the mixup was on our end and they no longer have their membership so I continue to purchase a day pass, staff wasn't necessarily the most kind, but they were still professional. A few months later, I'm considering getting a membership since I'm on that side of town more often, the person that reached out to me stated that there's a note on my profile that I gave a fake name, and continued to tell me twice that after the enrollment fee fees and monthly fee fees, it probably would not be worth it for me to become a member. The vibe seemed to push that she did not want me to be a member. She was still professional, but it left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unwelcome to join. A shame because my best friend was looking to join the same week as me and now will not.

I was contacted by management and apparently a new manager is running this location and it seems to be paying off. Equipment is being fixed faster and overall gym seems to be cleaner overall. Front desk seems more engaged and most of the time welcomes you when entering and says something when leaving. The gym is too small for the amount of members but not much you can do in the near future. I'd recommend making the basketball court a half gym as not that many people seem to use it. The other half could be turned onto useable space for equipment which would help a lot to cut down congestion and allow for some more benches, squat racks, and updated machine equipment. The cycling rook seems empty most of the time and I feel that could be re-purposed as well. Nice thing to offer but if it's not getting used so just a waste of space. Lastly, the CrossFit style area could probably be reduced by half as it gets limited used compared to equipment and free weights area. Overall though seeing improvement so good job new management. It's appreciated.

The gym itself is perfectly fine, and in a nice location. However, they seem unable to keep the…read morepool and jacuzzi operational. The pool has been out of service since SEPTEMBER of 2025. Supposedly it was to be up and running again in November, then March, then April, and now there is NO projected future date for its return to operation. Most recently, there has not been anyone at the front desk to answer questions or provide any information. On the few occasions I have found someone to ask about the pool, it's usually a rather blank "oh well, we don't know when it will be open again" response. I have attended two other LA Fitness locations in the area. One, at Scottsdale and Shea, was a fabulous place. It closed with no explanation two years ago. Then I started going to the Scottsdale/McDowell Road gym. Likewise, a fine facility, and it will be closing permanently on May 11th. That leaves one LA Fitness facility within reach, at Rio Salado Parkway. It seems that most of the better gyms are in FAR North Scottsdale, 15-20 miles away, and not much near Old Town at all. It is unfortunate that so many "brick and mortar" facilities are closing left and right, but I guess it's a sign of the times, sorry to say.
