My friend told me about her great experience with working out at F45, and I had to come see what…read moreall the fuss was about! After calling, I got a free trial class and came in on a Thursday evening class at 5:30pm. I arrived a few minutes early with my friend and filled out the waiver form and took a look around. It's one large room with multiple stations, making a large circle. There are multiple screens at the front of the room that have a countdown timer as well as a sample instructor performing all of the workouts so we don't forget the correct form and pace. The trainer Sam began the class by explaining how we were going to do 3 sets of each workout for 35 seconds each, and then we will rotate to the next station once the 3rd set ends. You get a 20 second rest between each set. The class lasts 45 minutes with a few minutes of stretching at the end. There were about 15 people in this particular class. Overall, the class was difficult (I do not regularly workout since becoming a mom,) but the two instructors made it very clear that we are to push ourselves but to know our limits, drink water, and take breaks when we need to. They were very encouraging and made me feel very comfortable and accomplished! I will return! Thanks F45.

I took the class that afternoon. although I struggled mentally and physically I knew by signing up for the 6 week challenge that started that Monday I would have to hold myself accountable and so would they. I'm now on week two, and although I'm not seeing any positive results in the mirror, im getting through the classes with the encouragement of every trainer there.

I've been a member for about five weeks now. I wanted to wait to write an informed review…read more Cost: It's comparable to Planet Fitness. About $27/monthly and $50 annual fee. App: Nothing useful (can't sign up for classes, as an example) except for scanning your membership card on arrival. Amenities: Three lane pool. Functional. Equipment: I've yet to use a cardio or weight machine that needs servicing or calibrating. I've not seen any that were out of order. They could use additional cable tv stations - there are about four total. They have a wide range of free weights, benches, and weight machines. Cleanliness: Here's where they fail. The women's bathroom (not locker room) is old an consistently dirty. I've seen grossness left for a couple of days before it was cleaned up. The gym floor is obviously not swept or vacuumed regularly, either. ALSO: The spray bottles of sanitizer are often missing, empty, or filled with water in lieu of actual sanitizing spray. The paper towels were empty for two consecutive days. Environment: Zero fans over the treadmills, but plenty over the weights area - this makes no sense. And there have been days where the gym itself has been fairly hot. I normally like to work out very early in the morning and then head to the office, but the women's locker room is is hot and HUMID - fine for a Saturday or Sunday, but I can't shower, dry my hair, and put on client-appropriate clothing and not be a giant sweaty mess afterwards. (I should note here that Planet Fitness did just fine in this aspect - they didn't skimp on the AC.) Classes: Don't bother with the spin classes. The bikes are bare-bones and old. I went to a yoga class (one of the few on the schedule) and I couldn't hear a thing over the AC and the basketball court (which shares a wall with the yoga studio). The instructor was nice enough, but didn't use any of the appropriate terminology for the poses and didn't make any form corrections during the class. So I was stuck craning my neck watching what she was doing so I could mimic her. It wasn't a bad class, overall, but you REALLY need to be able to hear an instructor during yoga - craning your neck while trying to achieve a pose is a good way to hurt yourself. She provided options for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students, which was great. I will try another class or two. The staff is overall friendly and responsive. Is it worth it? Sure - at this price point. Would I pay more for more amenities, etc. YES! The last major city I lived in I paid about $140/monthly, and that included towel service, a monthly locker fee, and a slew of classes including martial arts. I get that this place is an economy version of LA Fitness - if LAF were closer to my office, I would've opted to sign up there instead.

They don't have the AI machines that the other locations have but I never really was motivated to learn how to use them. Just seemed like a hassle when I can just get the same workout on some other machine despite it not being able to track my progress like the AI ones that they don't have. Plenty of parking. the gym is very spacious. Never really have to wait for equipment but i always got there pretty early around 5am before work so I'm not sure what its like in the afternoon or on weekends. Also everyone that works out here all seem to be very pleasant to be around. Most just keep to themselves but dont seem to be disruptive in any manner, Not many cons to speak of. I did have 1 personal trainer. I thought she was great with correcting my form but I don't think she pushed me hard enough. That's probably my only real criticism. Also I noticed doors on the lockers seem to get unhinged frequently which is kind of an eyesore. Not sure who's breaking them regularly. But overall it's a very nice gym that has more equipment than you'll ever need,
