I followed Amped Fitness's required cancellation process, sent my cancellation by certified mail,…read moreand have proof they received it. Their own employee acknowledged the cancellation, and I even have a voicemail confirming that management failed to process it. When I later canceled my regular membership, Amped gave me an official cancellation document showing $0.00 owed and stating that my cancellation had been processed. Now they're claiming I owe a Personal Training balance and have sent it to collections because their own staff failed to do their job. Then the new GM has the nerve to offer me a "Debt Forgiveness Program." I don't need debt forgiveness--I need Amped Fitness to take responsibility for its own incompetence. This is an absolutely pathetic way to treat customers. Document everything with this company because apparently their word--and their own employees' assurances--aren't worth anything. This company deserves to go out of business.

Even though my life has fallen apart in the last month and dreams have been shattered concerning my almost 20 year marriage (18 1/2), I know that I can come here to get away from everything and focus on me and my oldest son. I really love the openness of this locations floor plan. It is much nicer in my opinion than the Old Fort location. The staff are an amazing help, and the people I've run into so far are very nice and out going. I'm truly looking forward to my personal transformation process. I know it will be hard work, but I'm determined to get my life and health back!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE PERSONAL TRAINER! I love gold's gym…read moredon't get me wrong. It's the trainers that suck. I pay $200/mo. for personal trainer sessions. It is not worth it at all. They constantly cancel and reschedule. They never reach out to actually reschedule either. I was supposed to get a meal plan as well and after weeks of asking never received. It was always "someone else job" Very disappointed. Cost a minimum of 500 dollars to cancel. $299 cancellation fee plus the $200 draft during the 30 day cancellation process. It's basically a scam.

I am a long-time Crunch Fitness member from the West Hollywood location, currently in town on…read morebusiness, and I have to say this was one of the most unprofessional gym experiences I've ever had. A gym should be a place where members feel welcome and respected. Instead, this location left me dealing with staff who thought it was appropriate to stand around gossiping about guests. Specifically, the Black female employee (with the very obvious, poorly kept wig) and the White male janitor decided their time was better spent making negative comments about paying members instead of doing their jobs. I don't know if this is the kind of "culture" management condones here, but it was beyond ridiculous, childish, and completely unnecessary. I travel often and have been to multiple Crunch gyms across the country, and I have never experienced staff so blatantly unprofessional. When you're in town on business, the last thing you should have to deal with is feeling like you walked into a high school cafeteria instead of a fitness facility. At my home location in West Hollywood, staff go out of their way to create a positive, supportive environment. Here, it seems some employees would rather stand around acting like mean kids than maintain the level of professionalism Crunch claims to represent. Members are paying customers, not targets for staff gossip. If this location wants to maintain any standard of excellence, management needs to address this behavior immediately. And if it isn't corrected, I'll be more than happy to escalate this to Crunch corporate, because this type of behavior drags down the reputation of the entire brand. As someone who travels frequently, I often recommend gyms to colleagues and other business travelers. Unfortunately, I cannot in good faith recommend this location to anyone until the staff learn the basics of respect and professionalism.
