    The French Onion Burger

This is a decent spot with an outside sitting area and a large bar. It has bands play there pretty regularly as well. Food is good. Service was good. Nothing wow'ed me that we had but it all was a good standard meal with a good pub-like vibe. If you are living in the town or an adjacent town, it's good enough to check out and try once to make your own opinion.

We come here regularly. Food and service is always good. I just wanted to post what we recently had. I will say their eggplant and chicken parm's were better than I expected as I don't typically like to get red sauce items out as there always seems to be something missing, but here they were good and I'd get them again. The rainbow cookie egg rolls are phenomenal and I hope they stay on the menu. Rainbow cookies are the only desert my husband will eat so when they put these on he gets them every time now.

i hosted a baby shower yesterday. (wish i could give 10 stars). from day one booking with Matt was so easy. Great communication with Carol. our waitress Karen was our hidden gem. We did a brunch. The food was excellant (but then again, it always is). We were allowed to come in the day before to decorate which was a big time saver. The price was right. I would highly recommend.

Decided to stop into one of my favorite lunch spots in the area, Missy's Luncheonette, but due to current restrictions, the wait was longer than we would have liked. I noticed this bar/restaurant across the street and decided to give it a shot. Walking in the place was huge, with tvs everywhere and a nice bar. The menu was massive, and everything looked amazing, but I settled on the bacon and Brie cheeseburger which sounded very interesting. This might have been one of the best burgers I've ever had.. the burger also had a apricot jam spread on the bun, which really made this burger. Not to mention the fries were top notch also. Highly recommend this place and definitely recommend getting the bacon and Brie burger.

Inside, the dining area is spacious, and tastefully furnished with a nice warm fireplace in the room. The bar area has plenty of seats and TVs for sports fans. Our server Angela B. was so very pleasant, and attentive. She informed us about weekday events held at The Barn (trivia, bingo, vinyl night) and what sounded like a great Brunch Sat/Sun. We will be returning to experience some of them. We started with "Barnachos" ($18) containing a generous portion of pork (carnitas) and the usual nacho components. No pump cheese here though! Yay My wife had a lovely Greek salad ($19) with feta, grilled chicken, olives, onions, etc. I had a Meat Lovers pizza: pepperoni, sausage, cheese, sauce, peppers, onions, olives, etc ($22). The pizza was served piping hot. The portions were all generous and the food was delicious. We were too full for dessert! The menu really has something for everyone but everything on it has a special twist to it. Check out the menu at: https://thebarnkitchenandbar.com/menu/#view-page. Our server, Kim, did a great job running the bar. Not only were the drinks well made, but she was super friendly. I had a bacon bleu cheese burger with onion rings and my wife had a cheeseburger with fries. Delicious! If you come here, one thing to keep in mind is that it's cash only. There is an ATM across the street at The Exchange though. After passing here so many times, we're really glad we stopped in!

I had the Chicken Parm (with a substitute of a side salad only) and the lady had Fish and Chips Here is the pros and cons. Pros. THE PRICE FOR FOOD IS BEYOND REASONABLE!! The cocktail sauce definitely seems homemade and has a great kick to it. Fries were had a good crisp and the fish was pretty good. The side salad was very good and was a decent portion. The chicken parm and fish portion was a very healthy size. The whole ambiance of the place reminds me of places from my childhood and that makes me happy. Cons. The fish could have been a slight bit moister but over was still good. The chicken parm was a bit bland in flavor and a bit thick in breading. Coleslaw, with the fish and chips, was definitely store bought. Overall, the place is worth the stop on through if you are on a budget or like place that remind you of an era gone by. but still want to eat out. Just remember that it is a CASH ONLY place. This is worth stopping on in at least once! We will be back to try other food!

My daughter is obsessed with the spicy jambalaya arancini and I can see why. They are the perfect size, with rice, sausage, spice and are just yummy goodness. There were 4, so we let her have 2. She ordered the Thai chicken lettuce wraps. You can never go wrong with the wraps! Hubby got a cup of the cream of chicken soup. He said the veggies were a little too crunchy but overall flavorful. For lunch he ordered the veggie burger and sweet potato fries. It was a bit pricey. I went with the Peruvian chicken bowl. Two pieces of chicken, white rice, plantains, veggies and sauce. Yum! We of course loved the brown bread and butter but saved just a bit of room for a piece of Reese's PB chocolate cheesecake. Get it! We were all silent as we ate it which is the sound of a happy tummy!

But the line to just get deserts was open. Just some door dash workers getting their order. The worker asked us if he could help us and we provided our order. Two cheesecakes to go. Then he had me pay and when he printed the receipt for me to sign, there was an open space to add for a tip. I typically don't tip when getting an order for take out. The worker looked at the receipt and smirked. We then received a stapled bag with our desserts. My wife opened it when we returned to the car and noticed the cheesecake slices were very small. Almost half of the pieces that were on display. Note: The two cheesecakes cost $24. I believe once the worker noticed no tip for our take out order, he deliberately gave us the smallest pieces. The restaurant manager should look into this to avoid future customer service issues like the one we experienced today. If you do use this restaurant, take notice and open the bag to inspect the food before you leave. Or just give a big tip to avoid it all together
