He's got an…read moreextensive selection in his warehouse, so if you give him enough notice and your wantlist, he'll have a stack ready for you to look at when you walk in the door. I found this extremely helpful, and he had quite a few of the things on my list in great shape. He even set the expectation up front that I could be picky. Turned out to be well worth my time! I wandered for a bit among the racks and found a few other titles I wasn't specifically looking for but couldn't pass up, all in the $6-15 range. The owner said he tried to avoid selling stuff in a condition he wouldn't want to play himself, and that seemed to hold for the sample set I pulled. I've known about this store for a long time, but I've only recently gotten into collecting vinyl. I really appreciate being able to check out condition before buying, so a brick and mortar store has a lot of value to me. Evaluate prices in that light. I've had quite a few so-so experiences with buying stuff sight unseen online. All in all, a good experience. I'll definitely be back!

Despite those positives, I was disappointed with my drink and the price. With a student discount it was $19, which in this economy is STEEP. The sandwich I have no complaints, it's a basic turkey sandwich, but the size of my petite hand. I'm also extremely disappointed with the matcha. For being $8.50, where's the matcha??? Once mixed, it tasted like strawberry milk. Even worse, it tasted EXTREMELY artificial. I love supporting local businesses, but next time I go I know I won't get matcha, but try coffee and see if that's better...

The albums are sorted by tones (R&R, Jazz, etc...) and each one, with their record sleeve is protected in an additional sleeve. The vibe you get is welcoming to crate digging...... You can ask the owner about a particular LP or like me just look and see what treasures to find. Prices seem reasonable (opened in Meadville not Erie or Pitt). So come check it out and then go home and listen to how music should sound no matter the genre (I got Monkees, Simon & Garfunkel and Eddie Davis)Enjoy!

I've picked up some amazing quality stuff at very fair prices over the years and I'm almost always able to find something I don't have that I need to have (even though I own a few thousand records at this point) among the extensive inventory of used rock. Unlike the previous reviewer I find the prices more than reasonable on almost everything and the owner seems like a fun guy with a good sense of humor. Highly recommended and potentially worth the side-trip for anyone traveling between Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

Underdog Records is a small shop but it has a pretty large selection of inventory for its size. You…read morecan find all the classic rock, blues and soul artists you'd expect, along with a small portion of new popular music. The jazz inventory could probably use some work, but I'm guessing there aren't too many customers stopping in looking for that genre. The man who runs it is fairly friendly and will certainly chat with you while you browse, but if I had any bit of advice for him it would be to lower the price of his records. A Muddy Waters pressing from the 1970s might be worth $10-15 if it is in near mint condition, but anything less than that doesn't warrant such a price tag. I know you have to make your money somehow, but I can't figure out who is constantly buying these records at these prices to keep the place in business. My visit wasn't a disappointment at all, I found some interesting additions to my collection while I was there, it just cost me more than it was worth. It's as cool as a vinyl shop can be, but it's not the first place I think to go when I was to buy more wax.
