I found this extremely helpful, and he had quite a few of the things on my list in great shape. He even set the expectation up front that I could be picky. Turned out to be well worth my time! I wandered for a bit among the racks and found a few other titles I wasn't specifically looking for but couldn't pass up, all in the $6-15 range. The owner said he tried to avoid selling stuff in a condition he wouldn't want to play himself, and that seemed to hold for the sample set I pulled. I've known about this store for a long time, but I've only recently gotten into collecting vinyl. I really appreciate being able to check out condition before buying, so a brick and mortar store has a lot of value to me. Evaluate prices in that light. I've had quite a few so-so experiences with buying stuff sight unseen online. All in all, a good experience. I'll definitely be back!

Meadville Pa has added a gem to the city in Vinyl mugshot. The experience of entering the store…read moremight be a treat to your ears as an LP could be on the turntable (actually one used in store). The albums are sorted by tones (R&R, Jazz, etc...) and each one, with their record sleeve is protected in an additional sleeve. The vibe you get is welcoming to crate digging...... You can ask the owner about a particular LP or like me just look and see what treasures to find. Prices seem reasonable (opened in Meadville not Erie or Pitt). So come check it out and then go home and listen to how music should sound no matter the genre (I got Monkees, Simon & Garfunkel and Eddie Davis)Enjoy!

A Muddy Waters pressing from the 1970s might be worth $10-15 if it is in near mint condition, but anything less than that doesn't warrant such a price tag. I know you have to make your money somehow, but I can't figure out who is constantly buying these records at these prices to keep the place in business. My visit wasn't a disappointment at all, I found some interesting additions to my collection while I was there, it just cost me more than it was worth. It's as cool as a vinyl shop can be, but it's not the first place I think to go when I was to buy more wax.
