Peter was really challenged to come up with a plan to decorate my living room all the while my kitchen was being stored in my living room. This week was the big reveal. The living room is gorgeous! Its better than I imagined. Also, Peter was so patient and understanding while our home project took longer than we hoped. He stored our furniture for us until we were ready. The best part is that Peter worked with our price range and he never pressured me to buy something. He wants to make sure his customers are happy. If you need anything big or small I highly recommend the Queens Garden!

Only one staff lady reached out to see if i needed help on the first floor, no one else looked at me when i was checking things out upstairs but that's alright, i don't mind since i could cruise the floor in peace. The setups are nice and organized. The store felt really clean. The demo setups had some stylings that I could see in my own home. Given some of the prices of the dining room tables I would have to really be in love with the setup. They do have custom ordering upstairs where they have designers who can help you choose materials and styles. All in all didn't have a purchase today but i liked the store itself.

So many wonderful choices and styles to go with whatever you're trying to furnish! Value is abit high and sometimes best to find it on line but for those who don't mind those prices then they catered to the more affluent customers than average public! Great to see but sometimes out of my range. Their Clearance area is small but some good items... you get some savings but not much percentage off. I do like to wonder, it's very organized and super super clean and spotless! I like to compare prices before I purchase so I start here but most times I find it elsewhere! Just go and browse don't be an impulsive buyer before you do your research!

I'm a big fan of Anthropologie, the stores as well as the online shopping. My constant daydream,…read morewhen I start to browse, is that I'll somehow manage to make my entire wardrobe, home decor, jewelry -- everything - be devoted to Anthropologie! I love the casual chic aesthetic of the clothing, the shoes are always teasing me ("bring us home! we're so beautiful!"). The home decor pulls me in and won't let me go until I buy new mugs, new dessert plates, new kitchen towels . . . well, you get the idea! If you know the brand, you know how tempting everything is. I walked in to this Derby Street location the other day to buy a little housewarming gift for a niece moving into her first solo place and walked out with mugs and plates for me as well! I had to tear myself away from the sale handbags because, well, restraint - am I right?? I always anticipate that shopping the store is going to be difficult (only because most shopping in person can be) until I get inside and it's lovely! The staff is low key helpful if you want them to be, not a hard sell experience by any means. I mean, it's nice when someone willingly comes out from behind the counter to help you find something that you might like. Just, because they can help you? Wow. I'm a customer for life, have been for years well before this Derby Street store was opened, and I continue to find gifts, items for me, and always, always a sale item or two!

Not sure what else as it's not my store i shop at but cute looking and the lady likes it!

This company is top-notch. I just had blackout Graber shades installed in my apartment living room…read more The top-down or bottom-up feature makes them super functional, and the blackout feature is important for a south-facing window in a high-rise building. Best of all is the company's service, embodied in salesman Robert Schlesinger. Rob has in-depth knowledge of his products and was instrumental in guiding my choice of design, materials, scheduling and installation. He followed up at every step and made sure everything was done, to a high standard, as I wished. This is remarkable because I only purchased one shade for one window. I was treated as if I were doing window treatments for an entire building. I made this purchase through COSTCO, but that is not required for the services of this company. Use them without reservation!

We chose the Rug Merchant after hearing great things about them and having a couple of estimates…read moredone by Empire etc. and chose to go with them for the vastly broader selection, quality to value, and personal attention to detail they take in taking on jobs. The owners, Hillary and (Steve?) are great to work with. Where most people tend to focus on price as the sole factor for many of their home improvement projects, the olde adage of you get what you pay for often holds true as well. We found a great non-standard carpet that fit our style and needs for a basement finishing job and came out about the same of where we would have going national chain, but the offerings and quality, as well as customer service experience were far superior. They really were able to convey what the differences were in what you were getting, durability and cost, and found a great carpet that wasn't available from a big discounter. Four years out the carpet, and composite flooring we put down in one area still shows like new despite getting regular to heavy use. By comparison, the standard stuff we have through the rest of the house when we moved in started showing its age within a year or two. Will go with them again when we have the rest of the house done...

What a fantastic new place for this antiques and interior design store that was formerly housed in…read morea tiny space in a random part of Hingham, and is now in a huge light-filled space in the pleasantly busy Hingham Shipyard shopping area. In addition to interesting items from the 19th century there is a vast array of mid-century modern furniture and accessories. You don't have to have a house or office entirely devoted to Mad Men sensibilities to appreciate this modernist aesthetic. The space is such that things have enough room to be clearly seen and admired. This is not like some antique stores which can be dark, and overly filled with items placed too closely together to get a proper perspective. The furniture, lamps, glassware, dishes, and art work are all spread out in a double-wide space with plenty of room and high ceilings making it easy to walk around and admire everything while imagining this or that in your own home. Peter, the owner, and his adorable assistant, the perky dachsund, make browsing a pleasure. Questions are cheerfully answered and conversation about art, decor and furniture flows. Right now I have my eye on a beautiful drafting table that can change positions allowing it be used as a desk. I just fell in love with it this weekend and will have to go back tomorrow for another look. Some of the prices are more on the high side than I think they need to be but I get the sense that the owner is ready to do business with the serious shopper. This store is lovely, the owner charming and many of the pieces are fabulous. I'm glad this place has been able to expand while still remaining conveniently in my neck of the woods. It's definitely worth stopping by but leave that drafting table for me.
