8 of us played playground escape game . It was an amazing experience . The set up was very neat and the game instructor gave us clear instructions . They gave us good clues to solve the game in time. The location is near a parking lot. And the location is at a serene place so we can do other things after . Would definitely recommend this place

This was my first experience at The Escape Game Tampa and it was a blast! Molly, Charlotte and Deshawn were all very friendly and answered all our questions. They made the experience very eventful! My group ended up doing The Playground and Timeliner: Train Through Time and they were very fun! I had 5 people in my group and that was the perfect amount! You can ask for unlimited hints. They also have specials deals on the weekdays for groups. Free garage parking is available.

We played Cosmic Crisis and Timeliner: Train Through Time. We are elderly, so we didn't do so well. It was so bad that during Timeliner at one point, they were literally giving us the numbers to the codes for the padlocks. I think they took mercy on us because it was my birthday. lol They were even nice enough to give me a birthday card. Highly recommended.

Loved this game. This is the second time coming. The first was the cosmic rim and this time the submarine. Love the technology in the room, very high tech and enjoyable. The game master was super helpful and gave us some local recommendations.

We decided to take our team to a team building activity and this was so much fun! We split our group of 15 into 2 groups and did two different escape rooms. The session lasted 1hr. What a fun time seeing each other work together, our personalities under different settings and a fun team building. It was economical for a team building activity. The staff were super friendly and helpful from making the reservation, to greeting us, to helping us with the game. Best part is...we escaped. Definitely recommend!

When we asked Luke, who was our front desk person about it he said sometimes they are late giving the hints, because they are overseeing multiple rooms, which is why the hint that they gave was no longer helpful. Luke, however, was fantastic so shout out to him. We did the Scooby Doo escape room and overall it was pretty great. I really like how they have little signs that show when something isn't part of the game, so you don't spend unnecessary time trying to break into something that you're not supposed to. Overall, I thought all the clues worked well together and they were all different enough to keep things really interesting. We thought we were doing really well when we got into the third room with 30 minutes to spare, but that one was particularly difficult for us. The room is well themed and clean. We started right on time. Pro tip that you can get your 90 minutes validated here and if you go shopping at sprouts they validate on top of that so you can save $10 total in parking. However, I think they don't stack 90 minutes on 90 minutes, they only stack 60 minutes on 90 minutes so you can get a total of 2 1/2 hours of free parking. I do enjoy the games here so we will probably be back.

Huge plus because we arrived an hour early. We chose the Sherlock Holmes room. We were instructed on how to play the game. We were told to just ask for clues when we needed them. We were walked to the room and the different areas explained. The room was locked and the hunt commenced. Disclaimer we did not make it out, though we were one step away. We forgot that we could ask for clues so we had to figure everything out alone. There are clues for each step if you request the clue. We didn't ‍. We felt like real Sherlock Holmes searching for the clues. The room is hard and simple if you can get into the Holmes mind frame. When we did request a clue, we could barely hear it. That would be my only issue. It seemed like whispers coming through and we weren't sure if someone was talking to us or if it was outside noise. I would definitely recommend visiting and taking on the challenge.

I did find the room to be a bit bare bones in terms of the amount of decoration and puzzles to solve but then again I've been in some very elaborate escape rooms such as Doldrick's Escape Room in Orlando (check that place out). Even though the place is fairly new we didn't run in to any technical difficulties while trying to solve the puzzles. The staff member there was really friendly and helpful. We got a great discount on Groupon to try this place out so it was worth the money. We had an enjoyable time. I am giving it 3.5-4 stars simply because I've been to some really elaborate escape rooms but if this is your first time going to one you'll have a great time. Check it out!

I had concerns about having to bring my 3 year old but I was happy to confirm that I didn't have to pay for her and she was able to sit in the corner of the room with her iPad. He greeted us and gave us a full enthusiastic walk-through of everything we could expect. He definitely is passionate about his business and the fun behind escape rooms- so much so that I want to go back and try one of the many other rooms they have available. Anyways, this was a team building trip where we lost a lot of participants due to the needs of the business so we only ended up with three people for the room. He didn't give us any trouble about the change of plans and he didn't even mind us being late. We selected the Medieval Room based on the description of it and it was fantastic! Dark and atmospheric with great decorations. The puzzles were challenging without being impossible and were very hands-on. We received about a handful of clues and we actually escaped with 5 minutes to spare! The satisfaction of escaping successfully cannot be beat! There was plenty of parking but for me, the location was kind of hard to find. I would suggest a more prominent sign since there are multiple strip malls and office complexes that I almost turned into the wrong one but for the things that really matter, they nailed it.

As escape room veterans, we've seen some high production value rooms. This was not one of them. To be fair, I've played a couple lower budget rooms and still found them to be enjoyable. However, BYCE was just a sub-par experience from the start. We entered to several buckets in the lobby catching water dripping from the ceiling. A note on the wall advised us not to sit on the wet couch. A cheery hostess greeted us and led us to a waiting room, where wait we did. For 23 minutes. The floor next to the couch was covered in ants. The poor girl who had greeted us was running around the entire establishment, into the employees only room where they supervise your game, then back out into the hallway to congratulate another group who had just escaped, then, I assume, to help reset the room. We spied two other guys in the employees only room, but they were definitely not running around like she was. So we waited. Finally, we were led to a large, dingy room that immediately made all of us feel like we were going to regret coming here. The carpet was filthy. There was plenty of thematic decor, but it just gave the impression of being very cheap and dirty. In fact, they have gaming chairs for you to sit in (in the video game themed room), and I quickly found out one was completely broken. The room wasn't the worst I've experienced, but we did beat it with almost 25 minutes left with four people. When we escaped, they told us we had almost beaten the record... that had been set by 12 people. We were shocked it would take a dozen people even nearly that long. But maybe, if you go here as your first-ever escape room, you will enjoy it. For veterans, my advice is to skip this place entirely. If America's Escape Game is your idea of quality, this place just won't stack up. If we had paid full price, I definitely would have been irked. With the Groupon, meh. Lesson learned. We just won't be back.
