If you're a drummer, you'll love the place even more. This is always the first place I'll go if I need anything musical. Strings, tuners, tambourines, amps, parts, or just a couple minutes shooting the shit with the cool, knowledgeable musician/proprietor. Also, if you're looking for a luthier, they outsource to a skilled and straight-up honest guy. I've brought my acoustic and electrics there several times for work. Always happy with the results and feedback about my instruments. Forget the big chains and give Russell's a visit. I tried it out twice trying to see if maybe it was just me being unfamiliar with it, but nope it sounded bad. Tried to return it and they wouldn't accept any returns even though we had the receipt and everything put back into the original box. Wanted to give me a store credit. I've been out of the music scene since then and now I want to try to get back into it as much as possible. It used to be that no store anywhere near our area was as good as AL+M. All were true working professionals. I hope that's still the same now? Due to Covid-19, I have been unable to get out of my house since March. I would do anything to be able to get back to the store and see what's happening. Maybe soon I'll be able to do so?
