Regional manager for the Elysian
Robert B.

This place is a dumpster fire. We really wanted to love this place. 30+ day active maintenance requests. Dog everywhere. Fleas in the grass. Kids whipping around on golf carts so be very mindful and try not to run them over. The facility itself changed hands in 2022 so it's now on a pathway to 0 at full speed. We're moving to the facility across the street. It's much less expensive, has much bigger units and it's ran by professionals. Oh, and it's nicer. Good luck American Landmark. I smell 30% occupancy and a multi million dollar rehab coming for the Elysian. What a circus. P.S. We've updated the images to give you visibility to what management communications look like.

Black mold under the sink of a unit they tried to move us into..

We lived here for a few years and moved between acouple apartments during our leases, during each one we had a unique problem that was seemingly never fixed despite them claiming to do inspections prior to move in day. Those problems included: black mold in the cabinet under the sink, a broken pipe which caused flooding in the master closet damaging one of our dressers, mildew & mold that would grow around the vent closest to the air units, and leaks from time to time. Overall, management was never really responsive & quite rude. I would strongly implore anyone looking to lease here look elsewhere. It was a pretty bad place to live for the amount they are asking for.

When I first arrived at cadence, Monica Sanchez made me feel so welcome. She was accommodating,…read morepatient, and kind. The other staff members were just as much as well. As a single parent working 40+ hours a week, these characteristics are what brought me to cadence. Unfortunately, since then there's been a drastic change in management that's left me feeling increasingly uncomfortable. I understand my autistic son can be a handful but the previous staff members were much more understanding when it came to him as they had children of their own. I believe it's safe to say the new staff don't have any. I was looking forward to renewing my lease but I'm highly skeptical after a staff member personally came to my door well outside of office hours to complain about my son (apparently he was with a group of kids who were ding dong ditching, however, I know it wasn't him because I had a long talk with him about it). And even after communicating my apologies for his disruptive behavior, they continued to send emails reiterating the same thing even though by then he had stopped. Although it seems that cadence is becoming a not so "family friendly" neighborhood, the maintenance staff, Eddy especially, are prompt and a joy to see every time!
