OUTSTANDING SERVICE!…read more On January 1st, 2016 we hired Jon with Music Source to be our DJ at our wedding on June 18, 2016. Jon sold us the minute we walked in the door. He had a clean office and a great presentation. Two months after (give or take) we signed our contract we had something come up where we need to move the wedding date up to April and he was extremely understanding and worked with us on the date change. (VERY EASY TO WORK WITH!) On April 23, 2016 (our new wedding date) Jon was there at the time he said he would be and had everything set up and ready to go before for both the ceremony and reception . When everything began his assistant was there to help us on timing for walking down the isle. IT WAS SO ORGANIZED! He played all the music so perfectly, making everything seem like it was a true fairytale! Jon played everything we asked, when we asked for it, and it was the most perfect wedding hugely because of his service! If you are looking for a DJ that does it all and does it with all of his heart you need to hire Jon with Music Source Professional Disc Jockey Service. He is worth every penny. Thank you Jon!

I found this service while looking for a cheap option for my wedding, and ended up paying only $400. Since I was planning a wedding with a very small budget, I couldn't pass this up. I should've known this was a bad choice when Brad (or whomever I spoke with on the phone) asked me to pay the $400, in full, over the phone. I read him my credit card info. My fiancé and I are sorta picky with the music we wanted played, so I cleared it with the DJ that we would just provide a huge list of songs from which to choose, and to play only those. We compiled this, along with a strict timeline, and emailed it to them so everything would go smoothly day of. As we got closer to our wedding date, Brad and I had many, many phone calls during which we went over more information, often clearing up the same info multiple times (names, songs for specific dances, etc.) He said the DJ would arrive to our venue early to set up, around 2 pm with the reception beginning around 4 pm. I even ensured that the list of super important songs and the timeline was physically printed out and taped to the table he'd be setting up at. When my husband and I arrived at our wedding reception around 3:45 pm, the DJ was not even there yet. He then asked my husband and I what kinds of music we like (after many phone calls going over this and a full, extensive list of songs we wanted played). What made me most upset about this experience, however, was that my timeline was completely ignored. One of the only reasons I spent any of my budget on a DJ was to have an uninvolved person to make announcements for dinner, first dances, cake cutting, etc, and he did not come through. I (the bride!) had to go up to him and ask him to announce each event when it was about to happen, so my guests would know what was going on. Despite my general disappointment in this service, the DJ was great about taking song requests from my guests which was fun. Again, if you can afford to overlook what may seem like a bargain with this company, please find a different DJ to help make your special day run more smoothly and be more relaxed.

However, I paid extra for the cloud package which was not delivered. He claimed it was due to my wedding venue. Fine...I can get let that drop. But...I want my wedding video. He can gone silent a few weeks after my wedding (Which was Sept 29). I have had zero communications from him and I have been trying to get a hold of him for the past 3 weeks. No word... nothing. In fact, this is a little normal since during the planning of my wedding, it was the same thing unless it involved money. I should have taken that as a sign but we already had a contract. Lets see if this will get his attention. Pay the guy who shot my video so I can get my wedding video. Its been 3+ weeks without a word from you.

He did not play nearly a quarter of the songs I placed on the must play list. When the DJ did play a song - thanks to my mother and bridal party - who had to stand next to him during the reception, the songs were played at such a low volume, they were nearly inaudible. Moments such as the "father daughter dance" cannot be recreated. My DJ left for 10 minutes at a time. Honestly, plug in spotify or iTunes. ALSO - Brides beware: Jeremy is responsive to emails until you have paid in full. His company is a joke - except I am not laughing.

Despite having multiple meetings and providing a detailed timeline, music list, and phonetic name pronunciations, several key things went wrong. The wrong song was played during the bridesmaids' walk down the aisle -- a moment we had clearly outlined and discussed more than once. The maid of honor's name was mispronounced during introductions, even though it had just been reviewed and was written out phonetically. Later, when my dress wouldn't bustle right before our first dance (scheduled for 8:15 -- still well within our contracted time until 11), the DJ stood nearby repeatedly asking, "How long will this take?" staring at me in a way that felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily pressuring, during what was already a stressful moment. While the songs we had requested were played during the cocktail hour and dancing, there was little to no crowd engagement, and the dance floor stayed mostly empty. It didn't feel like any effort was made to read the room or adjust. What truly pushed this over the edge was the complete lack of professionalism after the fact. I emailed the company -- addressing these issues in a calm, respectful way -- and never received so much as a reply or apology. For a company that claims to be experienced and professional, that kind of silence is unacceptable. Weddings are high-stakes, once-in-a-lifetime events. I expected better -- both in preparation and execution, and especially in follow-up. I would strongly caution others before booking with them.
