Jeremy was a very nice guy. He seemed to genuinely care about your wedding and he seemed to be very good about his job. However, I paid extra for the cloud package which was not delivered. He claimed it was due to my wedding venue. Fine...I can get let that drop. But...I want my wedding video. He can gone silent a few weeks after my wedding (Which was Sept 29). I have had zero communications from him and I have been trying to get a hold of him for the past 3 weeks. No word... nothing. In fact, this is a little normal since during the planning of my wedding, it was the same thing unless it involved money. I should have taken that as a sign but we already had a contract. To say that I am dissatisfied is an understatement. If I could give a negative rating, I would. For the last week, I turned the radio off in my car because it reminds me of the songs I had on my playlist that were not played. My DJ was unprofessional, and inappropriate. He did not play nearly a quarter of the songs I placed on the must play list. When the DJ did play a song - thanks to my mother and bridal party - who had to stand next to him during the reception, the songs were played at such a low volume, they were nearly inaudible. Moments such as the "father daughter dance" cannot be recreated. My DJ left for 10 minutes at a time. Honestly, plug in spotify or iTunes. ALSO - Brides beware: Jeremy is responsive to emails until you have paid in full. His company is a joke - except I am not laughing. read more

My wife and I got married in Oct. 2018. He hired Jeremy and Red Letter Dj's to DJ our wedding. We also purchased the cinematography package. We spoke with Jeremy about the cinematography package and he explained how they will film the bridal party getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception. Then compile all of the footage to a 5-6-minute montage of the day. This sounded great so we went with it. This was an additional $1,200.00 charge. The day of the wedding Jeremy was there, videoed and then DJed (he had someone else at the reception to film). I will say the DJ was good, no issues there. We asked when should we expect the video, he said about 6 weeks. WELL. The time came and went and no video. I called repeatedly, left voice mails, and multiple emails asking for an update. No communication, absolutely nothing. It has been 3 months since our wedding and still nothing. We have emailed, called, and even tried going to the business location on the website, but it is a FAKE address. I do not think he ever had any intention to deliver the video, I believe this is a con, just a way to get more money out of people. Update: It is February 22, 2016 and i STILL have yet to receive my wedding video, an apology, or any sort of refund from Jeremy Mancini at Red Letter DJs in regards to the whereabouts of the video i paid him in full for. In fact, after my first review, Jeremy finally replied to my emails only with a threatening warning to remove my review or else he will have his lawyers come after me for libel. Laughable! Hired for DJ services. Received email 2 days before wedding stating that Jeremy had been in an accident and would not be able to attend. Since then, many ignored communications and no refund. Have filed for fraudulent charges with credit card company and BBB. Do not hire for any wedding services. read more

What can I say about Jeremy other than he is AWESOME! Jeremy DJ my wedding and aside from being a great DJ he was a terrific entertainer. We had no set agenda or idea of how events in the wedding were going to take place but Jeremy took care of it all. He was great at letting guest know what was going on and what was coming up next. Not once did I (the bride!!) feel stress or worried. The music was great and everyone loved Jeremy. The online profile Jeremy offers is brilliant. It allowed us to submit music before the big day and invite friends to submit their own request. I must also add Jeremy dressed to impress. We used Red Letter DJ for DJ services only for our wedding reception in May 2016. The DJ (Sam) was very professional, punctual, and responsive on the day of our wedding. However it took a long time for me to get in touch with Jeremy (the owner) ahead of the event. He got back to me after 2 weeks after I emailed and called him numerously, and said he had been out of country. (Everywhere has WiFi and you own a wedding business and it's April, come on...) Also we paid for a monogram on the dance floor and there was none. I noticed it at the wedding but I didn't want to (and shouldn't have to) argue with someone on my wedding day. read more

We booked several services through Red Letter DJ's / Jeremy for our July 2016 Wedding, including DJ, Traditional Photo Booth, & Videography/Cinematography package. My review for each service is noted below, in short, a good experience, however, I am still waiting to hear back on 2 inquiries so will update my review and rating to 5 stars once completed. 1) DJ Services - 5+ stars, ABSOLUTELY outstanding!! Jeremy had everyone on the dance floor ALL NIGHT long!! Our guests commented on how great he was and several people asked for his information for future events. He was on time, professional, and so much fun! The online planner was a super resourceful tool that really helped make the planning process much easier! Highly recommend their DJ services. 2) Traditional Photo Booth - 4 stars, our guests had a blast! Josh did a great job managing the photo booth and I am so glad we booked it through Red Letter! **I was informed that we would receive digital electronic copies of all of the photos taken in the photo booth, I have not yet received them as of October 2016, which is kind of a bummer. I will remove this comment if/when the online gallery and/or USB is received and update to 5 stars. 3) Videography/Cinematography - 4 stars, CJ did a great job capturing all of the special moments from our big day! He was very easy going, showed up on time, and very professional. He did a great job while not being noticeable and capturing footage in the background. We were very pleased with the feature trailer and full length video he created for us, we are so glad we booked this service through Red Letter! **We were supposed to receive the videos and all raw footage via a USB drive per the contract/agreement we signed, however, the videos were sent via googledrive but as of October 2016 we still have not received the USB with the videos and all of the raw footage. It would be nice if status updates were communicated to me without me having to follow up multiple times. I'm writing this review for my mom and my new step dad, thank you for making their wedding day (5/24) so special! I was doing most of the research for vendors for them. Which can be difficult because believe it or not, some vendors don't respond very fast. NOT the case with Red Letter DJs. Jeremy responded right away each and every time I reached out to him! Sam was our DJ/MC and I have only great things to say! He not only was the DJ put assisted in guiding us through the night. Very friendly, organized and got the party started! My husband and I were referred to Red Letter DJs by a close family friend. She has worked with Sam outside of RLDJs, and knows him very well on a personal level. He is a great guy and did an awesome job DJing/MCing our wedding! He was very professional, detail-oriented, and communicative. He was super funny and did a great job of capturing all of the little details about our night! Definitely ask for Sam when you call/schedule/book. You will love the experience. The only reason RLDJs did not get 5 starts is because of Jeremy. As others on here have indicated, make sure you avoid working with him. Jeremy's initial response to us was very long and detailed, and we were very impressed. However, after our initial down payment, it was nearly impossible to get a hold of him, and even when he did get back it us, it was him saying that he would get back to us, but he never did. It almost seemed as if his heart wasn't in it, or he doesn't understand the aspect of a client-based services business. Running a wedding-related service is high-demand and requires 24/7/365 attention. The bottom line is, RLDJs is a small shop that does a great job if you book Sam! read more

We hired Red Letter DJs for our wedding reception at Mars Gallery, Chicago. The entire process was excellent. We chose them initially because of the large amount of information they provided to us even before we booked. It made the decision so easy! They showed up early and were able to set up around our chaotic schedule. Dan was our DJ and kept the floor packed. We were able to choose all the music we wanted to hear and once that list was done, Dan had to supplement with more music. He clearly had a feel for our style and played songs that meshed well and kept the dance floor going crazy! We also booked the Flipbook Studio that they offer. A short video is taken of your guests and it is instantly turned into a business card-sized flipbook for guests to take with them. We wanted to offer a wedding favor and we also wanted to have something for guests to do. This was the best option we could have found! Literally everyone had a go or two at the Flipbook and with unlimited prints, we ended up leaving with a bunch of extra books that people had forgotten! Well worth it. Everyone was raving about the DJ and Flipbook, and it was clearly a great hire. We highly recommend Red Letter DJs to anyone in need of a DJ (with a great lighting setup!) or a fun Flipbook option. My wife booked this business for our wedding. It has been 3 months and we still have not received the video or a refund for lack of product.

When we booked, Jeremy assured us hed help us along the way and would make sure everything ran smoothly. After we paid, when we would send him emails, we would not get responses. Just before our wedding, Jeremy informed us he was having surgery and could not DJ at our wedding. He said Reggie would be there in his place. Reggie was not on their website listed as one of their DJs. At our wedding Reggie did not know what all our special songs were for the evening, even though we filled everything out the online portal. Our entrances were an absolute train wreck. He started each song from the beginning even though we requested the choruses from the songs. He would let the songs keep running after our bridesmaids/groomsmen sat. There were long awkward pauses in between each couple so he could find the songs. He mispronounced most names, even though we went through pronunciations on the phone the week prior. We also went through pronunciations again right before the entrances as he did not write this down before. This included mispronouncing my parents and brothers last name, which he said differently each time. He was unable to MC efficiently throughout the night. He did not follow the schedule and I had to tell him what to do and when. There were many awkward pauses throughout the evening. Reggie did not seem like he was a qualified wedding DJ. When we called Jeremy, the owner, after the wedding, he appears to have blocked our number. We were never able to get a hold of him. This was the only issue we had at our wedding. We strongly advise not to use Red Letter DJs for your wedding. read more

I wish I could give less than one star. I am so disappointed in this company. I really wanted to be able to give Ben and Jeremy 5 stars. We used their flipbook booth at our wedding in August of 2015, and it was absolutely great during the reception. The guests as well as my husband and I were thrilled with having them as part of our celebration. After the wedding, we were supposed to receive a DVD of the video footage from the flipbook booth (this was in our contract). My mom said that they had not been returning her calls, so I called Ben right before Christmas. He actually called me back within minutes (surprisingly), and he said that he had sent a copy of the DVD already (which was to my parents' house, and they never received it). We were understanding, and he said that he would send the DVD to my address within a few days. Apparently, something had happened with the footage, and they had to send it to a company to be recovered, and that was the cause of the delay. But that in itself is no problem. The problem is that it has been nearly 6 months since the wedding. Not only have we not received the DVD, but Ben has repeatedly ignored my calls, texts, and emails. I felt like I was extremely polite and understanding, but never have I felt so disrespected and blatantly ignored, especially by someone who is supposed to be running a business! Perhaps these guys are great DJs, as they were great during the wedding with their flipbook booth, but I would highly advise against hiring them due to their extreme lack of professional standards. I am considering filing with small claims court, as we have the contract still which explicitly states that we would receive a DVD. And honestly...if something happened and they lost the footage or something, we would have been understanding of that; I understand that mistakes and accidents happen in life. But completely ignoring someone's calls, texts, and emails without a single hint of an explanation? Not okay. I have never been more disappointed in a company before. Be advised: take your money elsewhere and hire someone who will follow-through with their contract. read more

If we could, my wife and I would give Red Letter DJs a 0. Our complaints start with the services provided the day of our wedding. A week prior to our wedding date, we contacted Jeremy to confirm what time the videographer would arrive. After numerous attempts, we never heard back. The morning of our wedding we were unsure if anyone would show up. The videographer did show up but right away you could tell he had no idea what he was doing. He showed up late to our first look and we had to wait for him to set up to do it. There were no wireless mics given so we are unsure if he even got the important details of our day-ceremony/dances/etc. We also used the photo-booth services through the company. we were supposed to have a classic photo booth, but ended up being a white screen in front of a wall and a webcam. Our wedding was on October 24th last year. My wife and I have tried to contact Jeremy countless times without any response. About 2 months ago my wife was finally able to get a hold of Jeremy and he said he was putting the final touches on our video and it should be in the mail in the next couple days. It is now 2/22/16, 17 weeks after, and we still have not received our video, despite our contracting stating 6-8 weeks. read more

Very disappointed with our experience with Red Letter DJs. We were married on October 22nd and had our reception in a barn. We paid $250 extra for the "Dancing On Clouds" package which is basically a fog machine for your first dance. Well about 5 minutes before our first dance our DJ informs us that the smoke machine isn't working and they aren't able to do that for us so I said it was okay and asked him if we would get a full refund for it to which he replied yes. So we went on with our night. The following week I contacted the owner of the company Jeremy Mancini and our DJ about this issue. Our DJ Dan responded and said Jeremy would get a hold of me. Well that was over a month ago. Jeremy has avoided me at all costs, he hasn't returned any of my emails of phone calls. I finally had to make a Facebook status urging my family and friends to steer clear and that is what finally got Jeremy's attention. He told me he would only refund me the money if I deleted my status. Well needless to say I still don't have my money. If you look on the BBB they have an F rating... many complaints similar to mine. It is a shame that my experience with this company had to turn sour because of Jeremy. I would suggest staying away from this DJ company at all costs. read more
