Just finished a photoshoot with Shuster Photography to update my professional photos and headshots. I have done this periodically over the years and I have to say, I was truly impressed with this experience. Dmitry has a talented eye for what will make the best pictures (he suggested several venues which showcased my work environment and profession) and is able to "direct" in a way that is fun rather than intimidating -- some of the best pictures came when he made me laugh or smile genuinely at an observation or comment. He understands light and composition in a way that results in a product that is flawless without being contrived. We did full body, 3/4 shots and head and shoulder pictures in full color and black and white and they all look awesome. It is hard to decide what to use. At a logistical level, Shuster Photography was responsive to requests, accommodating my schedule and providing my finished product rapidly using an online access code at the website. I can't begin to say what a pleasure it was working with Dmitry for my fiance and I's engagement photo shoot. From the first time I spoke with him on the phone you could tell he genuinely cared about what you wanted and you could feel his enthusiasm for photography. I found Dmitri on Craigslist while searching for a photographer to capture my proposal to my girlfriend. Dmitri was very professional from the beginning and very easy to get in contact with. We stayed in touch via email until the day of the proposal. Dmitri was open to my requests and was even happy to work with mine and my fiancees families ahead of time to get perfect "pre-pictures". He went above and beyond the scope we had initially agreed upon. He treated me so well that I was happy to increase the original agreed upon price to which he was very grateful. He provided professionally edited digital images via his website (private login/password to view our photos; 116 in all) by the next morning. I was thrilled with how the photos came out and really liked his style. We were free to download and share them all on social media. Dmitry was great, and I would unconditionally recommend him. First, he did all the fundamental stuff -- was on time, prepared. etc., so no issues there. More importantly, he was just really pleasant to do the shoot with. My fiance and I, having never been involved in a photo shoot, were both a little anxious at first, but Dmitry helped everything go very smoothly and helped us loosen up and enjoy. He provided plenty of direction so that we got great pictures, but without being too commanding or anything. I was honestly kind of dreading these pictures (my fiance convinced me to do it), but Dmitry made it a really pleasant and enjoyable experience. We also ended up with pretty crappy weather (cold and drizzling), and he was all about making sure that we were happy and even an hour into the shoot, was offering to reschedule if we were at all uncomfortable with the weather. I had Dmitry's photobooth set up at my high-school prom, it was a blast! It's such a great addition to the environment of a school dance because it gives us something fun to do other than be on the dance floor.
