And once we paid to have it installed, we noticed one rim is bent. Basically looks like it sat in their warehouse with other products on top of it. I wouldn't shop here again.

Very Disappointed - Misleading Return Policy and Rude Service…read more I spent several thousand dollars this week on home decor for my sister's house. Before purchasing, I was told multiple times that I had 30 days to return items as long as they were in their original packaging and I had the receipts. Based on that assurance, I felt comfortable making the purchases. Only three days later, I returned several items that didn't work out -- all unused, still in their original packaging, with receipts in hand. To my surprise, the manager at the Trainyards Store in Ottawa, refused to process the refund and would only offer store credit for only some items, then said no. When I asked why, she was dismissive and rude, then walked away without explanation. She was mean spirited and condescending to me, and all I was doing was trying to return items I spent good money on. I then tried calling the head office, only to be disconnected mid-call and they said it was up to the store to accept the items, they couldn't help. What the heck? the items are 72 hours out of the store and now they are 'used' - where is your 30 day policy you claim liek everyone else, especially after asking prior to buying!! This experience was incredibly frustrating -- not only was I given false information about the return policy, but I was also treated with disrespect when trying to resolve it. Now I'm stuck with expensive items I don't need and a charge on my credit card. I won't be shopping here again and would warn others to be cautious. The furniture arrived in perfect condition after travelling half way across the country ,all the way to Vancouver from their store in Ottawa. The quality of these refurbished antiques far exceeded anything modern that you could buy in the same price range. This is heirloom quality furniture ,beautifully crafted from high quality hardwoods and veneers and lovingly restored. Any one who visits my home always comments on how nice these three pieces of mid century furniture look and I would highly recommend this store .
