Parking shouldn't be an issue, they have spots in the front but then there's the big garage right behind it, and it's free. There's also street parking but you might have to pay. The place itself is very spacious and clean. They also have an outdoor patio for dogs. I do know later in the evening it gets louder and more like a club vibe, but it's not bad. Service was perfectly fine. I had no issues at all. Staff greeted us with a smile when we walked in. They were always checking up on us when we needed things. No issues at all. I thought everyone was doing their jobs. Happy hour is so worth it here. $1.99 tacos! I had the carne asada, birria and Chicharonnes tacos! While the meat portions look small, y'all need to realize this is happy hour street tacos! Adding some salsa from the self serve bar, it was so worth the price. We had 11 tacos, cheese nachos, 2 beers and 1 margarita and it was about $50! So worth it! I highly recommend Kalaveras for Mexican food. Great vibes. Great happy hour prices. I think this place is good for large groups also. It may not be kid friendly later into the night but it's very worth it!

The food is almost worth the wait…read more Coming to this resturant on an empty stomach may not be the best idea. The wait time is long especially between 10-12pm. There isnt a ton of places to sit while waiting either, a few chairs outside. Once seated, the decore of the place is very nice. Not overly tacky but nicely placed talaveras around the resturant paying homage to the name and culture. The food does mexican breakfast justice & the portions make up for the long wait time. While a little pricey to me for eggs and tortillas, the food is good. What gives this restaurant it's 3 stars for me was the attitude of the staff. May have been an overly busy day and patience were running thin but my husband and I noticed that asking for additional coffee or salsa seems to bother the waitress. Getting her attention for the check and pay at the host stand felt the same as well. The food hasn't missed in terms of quality, taste, and delivery time. If you want, you can ask staff to warm up and deliver a bakery item to your table later. It's a perfect way to end a stay with an iced latte. The staff is super helpful if you have any questions on the menu, and their salsa verde is yummy. I usually hang outside to enjoy the San Diego weather, but I've had food inside which is great to get away if it's too windy or cold outside. I love Agave. This is a top 3 spot for me locally. I'll be trying other menu items in the future to explore. Cheers!
