They sourced much of the seafood from their own farms so the shellfish was going to be quite fresh. The menu showcased selected preparations for their oysters, mussels, scallop and abalone from the kitchen besides a fish burger and fish of the day. We ordered and then were handed a pager. Seating was all open air under a covered patio. A huge cooler supplied water. Pickup from the kitchen was outside facing the parking lot. Bathrooms were away from the main building near the outside food refrigerators. Our first dish was the dozen raw oysters. We actually got 14 which was a bonus! They were good sized, fresh and tasted a little like the sea. A squeeze of lemon was all we needed as we slurped them up. The bowl of natural mussels was huge and I stopped counting the shells as they overflowed the shell bowl. We opted to de-shell everything and let the mussels soak in the broth. Rich and tasty. Our final dish was the abalone three ways. Each was cooked perfectly with our favorite flavors of (1) saffron and (2) herb but the miso butter seemed a bit off. We were seated quickly and served a tough and uncharming focaccia that lacked flavor or a desirable texture. The olive oil served with it was slightly bitter and missing balsamic. The wagyu steak was served as a "child's portion", yet was delivered extremely rare and had to be sent back - our daughter sat without food for twenty minutes while we all ate. The squid was charred to bitterness, rubbery and left a nasty taste in the mouth. The bottles of wine on the menu were egregiously overpriced and they had no oysters due to weather conditions. This is seriously probably one of the most disappointing meals we've had out in a good few years, and we have been in the states living under COVID for the last two of those. Staff were pleasant enough and the presentation of the food was very tempting, however neither could compensate for the serious shortcomings in the (very overpriced) food.

I chose the local fresh fish and my wife the farmed local salmon and we also got the roasted garlic rosemary potatoes. The food definitely gets 5 stars for presentation with colors and texture galore but I was a bit underwhelmed by the taste and I certainly couldn't find any rosemary in the potatoes. Service was friendly and the pace quite relaxed. There's a nice drinks and wine list featuring local options. Bottom line-for me this is a good spot for dinner if you are staying at the lodge but not a place I'd make an efforrt to get to otherwise.
