The store appeared laid out well and seemed to have a good selection. The problem was we were swarmed by staff the entire time we were in the store. We were closely observed every second. I don't know if they have a lot of theft or something, but we did not feel like we could shop the store comfortably at all. For instance I wanted a fitted hat and the only one in my size required me to remove all the hats in front of it on the peg. So I was putting the ones I didn't want back on the peg and was flanked by highly concerned staff. Will likely not return.

The owner is super sweet and while she picks up many items at craft markets, there are a TON of items that she makes herself. In fact, I had FOMO over a pair of Vol earrings I loved on my first visit, stopped back in a few days later and they had sold. She said "oh, well let me make you a pair right now." She didn't end up having all of the parts on hand but took my number to call when she was able to make a pair. What great service! Also cool, they do weekend craft workshops that are super affordable. She spreads the craft options on the entry table with prices listed and you tell her what one you want to work on. You can get $5 crafts for kids while you do a $40. Many craft places have a blanket price of $60 and up, regardless of age or project, which I know would deter me from bringing my kids. They also sell wooden DIY craft kits to bring home. They supply everything but the paint. There were many options.

NO MORE BELK !!!! I…read moreremember going to Belk's when I was a kid, and it seemed to have a good reputation. I just visited today (26F) to buy some flannel sheets. When I googled "flannel sheets" it popped up that Belk had these really pretty green checkered ones for under $25! I got in my car and drove down, walked the WHOLE STORE twice before a nice lady asked me if I needed help, so I explained I was looking for flannel sheets. She gave me a sympathetic smile, and informed me that I was at the WOMEN'S STORE, and that the sheets would be in the MENS. I asked if it was upstairs or something, and she shook her head "no", and explained how to get there. Apparently, there are TWO Belks. They are less than .5 mile from each other and NOT connected. On apple and google maps it only show the address for the women's location. I get BACK in my car and over to the men's store, and locate the sheets I was looking at. Turns out the sheets that were advertised to me by my google search were in fact MICROFIBER sheets. When I asked an associate a question about how the bedding section was arranged I told her that I wasn't a regular shopper, and was curious since it seemed all the microfiber sheets I was looking at were FULL size; she proceeded to look me up and down, and respond " obviously , now can you move so I can get a ladder." I was kinda in shock at being treated like this. I snagged a set of flannel sheets from the sale table on the other side of the bedding section ( not really the ones I wanted but oh well) and made my way to the register. The lady there rang me up, and told me my total. I figured that the sheets would be close to maybe $22 since the microfiber ones were $14.98 to my shock they were $30. I asked the employee that if I could find them cheaper online if they would price match. She scoffed and looked down her nose at me. "If you can FIND them for Cheeper then 75% off I'll be in shock." She said sarcastically to me with a role of her eyes, and this was not a young person either! Needless to say I spent $10 extra at JC Penney's for better service. Just because I don't fit the "norm" of thin, white, and over 65 doesn't mean that they can be rude to me. I'll be returning the sheets and never spending a DIME in that business. Needles to say I can see why no one under the age of 45 shops there.
