I went to the dry house for my 1st time yesterday & absolutely LOVED it! Best Salon in Virginia Beach!!!! I was so impressed with my stylist (Abby) who took the time to see what I wanted. I was a little undecisive of what I wanted, so she told me to look on Pinterest! Such a great idea & I was able to show her exactly what I had in mind! Abby was FANTASTIC! She has such a sweet soul but really listens to her clients wants and needs! I'll be leaving my current hair dresser after 17yrs, because I've found a new home now! Thx again for the OUTSTANDING service! read more

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of service! I could not have been happier with the haircut that Laura gave me! Wouldn't recommend going anywhere else:) 10/10!!! Oh and someone get these ladies a masseuse these hand cramps are no joke haha! read more

So I just had my first appointment with Kristin after trying to find a salon for a while and I'm so glad I tried the dry house! She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and explained what she was doing and why. She also is super easy to talk to, didn't talk your ear off but the conversation flowed super easy. The salon is also super cute and in a great location! 100% will be going back! read more

Gabby did my hair yesterday and I absolutely love it!! She did a perfect vanilla blond. Prior to coming here I tried 3 diff stylists in the area that didn't even come remotely close to getting my hair to how I want it!! Gabby listened and took her time. She's an amazing stylist!!! Highly recommend read more

I would not recommend this place for itip extensions. I am new to the area and have been getting extensions for years. Never have I had my extensions fall out in 1 WEEK. 50% of the hair slipped out within 7 days with the rest within 2 weeks. The stylist did not order the correct tips. I know this because I had other stylists look at them and they knew immediately. The stylist also admitted that she did not know there was a difference. I'm sad to write this because I think the stylist is a nice person but it was a waste of my time and money. Not to mention the weeks that I dealt with half of my hair short and half long. It was embarrassing. I was forced to wear it in a messy bun. I called into the salon and requested to speak to the owner at least twice over the past week and received no return phone call. I almost didn't even have to write this review bc I'm a walking advertisement for the poor service. Mh friends and coworkers say, "wait- didn't you just your hair extensions done? Where are they?" So sad. read more

I have been disappointed with their customer service multiple times. They incorrectly installed too many hair extensions in my wife's hair on her first visit and never seem to have appointments available when she needs them. They claim to be extremely busy. Today my wife had an emergency come up which I provided over an hour notice to fill her appointment. I sent my son in her place for a cut while my wife was going to run late and try and push to make her appointment. Upon calling to try and arrange scheduling I was met with the threat of a 50% charge for missing the appointment. When I inquired as to why, the person on the phone told me it was a busy week and we had a 5 hour appointment slot. She also said there was a 20 person wait list. Instead of calling that list and attempting to help another person, they decided they would charge me the 50% fee for the appointment. We all know they would immediately work the list and get someone in there given that it is XMAS week. Having been on this list before, I am acutely aware at how easy filling my slot would be. Had they offered to call and replace our time with someone else and failed, I would have no issue with this fee. But it came across as a complete money grab with no care for our loyalty attached to it. Couple this with the on-going quality issues with the extensions, I would go find someone else. read more

Place is very cute and chic- staff is very friendly. Morgan cut my covid hair and did a great job! She spent some time to show me how to style it and gave me some tricks too! I will definitely return! read more

Don't go for an updo. My friend and I were from out of town and went here based on recommendation. The stylist didn't do what either of us asked for - I asked for my hair to not have a low bun (I got a low bun) and my friend asked for a blowout (she's too polite and the stylist pressured her to get an updo). The stylist also added SO much hairspray throughout that by the end, you can't say you don't like it because.. well your hair is stuck now isn't it? read more

Got my hair cut and styled by Cassandra yesterday! It turned out amazing. My hair was tragic before, hadn't had it cut in 2 years so she really had her work cut out for her. The salon itself is super cute and very welcoming. Highly recommend. Will be my go to salon from now on. read more

Bekah did a great job and was very personable and easy to talk to. She obviously has great experience and knowledge working with hair because she confidently cut my thick hair with ease. The only drawback was that it looked like I was scheduled during someone else's color appointment so I could tell that she was under the gun to finish my cut and style before the other client's foils were ready to be removed. I feel like had that not been the case, she would've spent more time styling my hair to match the styles I had shown her before my cut. Otherwise, a great experience, cute salon, and friendly staff. read more

Great new & unique salon in Va. Beach! The Dry House has a casual, yet sophisticated atmosphere. They somehow combine old school, southern charm with today's sassy attitudes. Extremely talented stylists! You may casually walk in the door but you'll definitely strut your stuff with your head held high when you leave... feeling even more beautiful and confident than you did when you arrived read more

I just moved to VB from DC where I was a regular at Dry Bar and used the Glam Squad often to come to my house for blow outs. Unfortunately my new home here in VB has terrible water that has been leaving my hair flat, greasy, and looking terrible. So I immediately had to scout out options for regular blow outs and found the Dry House. Booking an appointment was super easy with their online system. I think I booked my appointment at 11pm at night for the next morning at 10am. When I arrived, there was no one working the desk but someone quickly came around to greet me and I waited no more than three minutes for my stylist. My stylist did a great job. I felt like she listened and understood what I was wanting (smooth blow out with big loose curls and very little product on my hair). I was very satisfied with the end result and I will be back! read more

Great service. Beautiful store. Reasonable prices. Cassandra in particular is a miracle worker. Overall, check them out and you won't regret it. I've never had an issue making an appointment either, always available. Really knowledgeable professionals. read more

I really like the idea of the dry house and I thought my stylist did a pretty good job with the curl on my blow dry. However, I did not love how the crown of my hair looked a little oily so the blow out was not able to last more than a few days. In addition, my stylist asked if I wanted a deep condition, I was not sure what this entailed but said okay. In the end this deep condition added $20 to my bill, which seems ridiculous to me. Plus, when it's your first time somewhere and places do this it's almost like taking advantage in my mind because you don't know how much these things cost. read more

Just got a trim and color consultation with Cassandra! She did such an amazing job and really made sure my hair came out perfect! I will he going back to dry house for sure!! read more

The Dry House - Blow Dry/Out Services Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

The Dry House is AMAZING. "High class, bad...." you know the rest ;) I found this to be true on my first visit here. The atmosphere is unlike other salons, in that it is not judging of you and all the stylists support one another. The owner, Miss Georgia Huber, is very knowledgeable on all things hair. I found her to be very professional, and caring of her clients. My stylist was Julia, and she was so sweet and talented. I really felt she cared about the integrity of my hair, and wanted to make sure I was comfortable throughout the service. Julia spoke to me about what she was doing, how long it would take, and made sure to answer any questions I had. Quick background..I visited the Dry House after a truly disapointing experience at another salon. I had spent entirely too much money there, and the owner at that salon could not fix my hair. I walked in exhausted of my hair's situation, which was so horribly under-toned and wrongly colored. The atmosphere was a calm one, with cream tones, adorable barn doors decorating the sides of each station, a relaxing fireplace in the middle, and most important...champagne in mason jars! They also have wine, beer, coffee, bottle water etc. I suggested they add orange juice for morning mimosas! I am attaching some pictures of the before and after I visited this salon. They treated my hair with Olaplex, which I don't know why it was never used in before! Olaplex is truly a must for blondes/colorings. It is wonderful, quality made and clearly, not all salons offer the product. With regards to pricing, I felt the services were priced fair and I definitely appreciate that. It is my hopes that this salon continues to grow and remain the salon that is a "home away from home." Thanks y'all :) read more

I have very long hair that I get very nervous about cutting. I hadn't had a trim in about a year, and my ends were super dead. I walked in on a Saturday and was able to book an appointment for the very next day. The woman at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The stylist who did my hair was Kristin S, and she did a wonderful job! She addressed all my concerns about cutting while keeping my length, and gave my hair shape and style that it hasn't had in so long. Thank you Kristin! read more

I was hesitant about trying a new salon because I've had bad experiences with price gouging in the past. Not only is the salon beautiful and relaxing but the prices are reasonable too! Monroe did an amazing job creating a more beautiful blonde than what I was getting from my previous stylist! Love love love my new salon! read more

This salon is amazing! Beautiful atmosphere and friendly stylists. You won't be disappointed

I'm fairly new to town and tried this place out because I was desperate for a trim. I had a great experience here, all the staff was professional, friendly and extremely accommodating. Maria did my cut and shampoo wonderfully and her assistant Mura blowed dried and styled me and it looked great. Jennifer at the front was also super helpful and nice. I made an appointment to come back and I am happy I've found a salon in VA beach. read more

I've been to the Dry House three times for cut and color. The atmosphere is great. It feels comfortable but luxurious. The staff is friendly and personable. Logan has done a beautiful job with my cut and color. She really listens and even asks great questions to make sure we're totally on the same page in regards to style. My hair is thick and wavy. She manages it beautifully. read more

Worth the 1.5 hrs drive I made today! Logan was super nice and caring. She listened to what I was looking for and my haircut turned out amazing! I had this particular style I wanted (I've been to 3-4 salons before to get this look - didn't work) and she pulled it out exactly how I wanted! 100% recommend! read more

Always a reliable, good blowout, on time, with good service and a good vibe.

Today was my first time at The Dry House. Cassandra was my stylist and I was very very pleased with the cut and styling she gave me. She was very personable and listened to what style I wanted. I will definitely return to her for my next cut and style!! read more

I would first like to say that I have been going to the Dry House and have had amazing experiences with Cassandra and Raquel! Due to my availability, Raquel was not available at the time and day I could get there, so I selected any stylist that was available on 10/7/21. It was the worst experience. This stylist was unprofessional and has zero people skills. I told her I was there for a natural balayage (I am brunette and needed it to be brought up) and root touch up. She did my foils and said for me to sit. I reminded her that I needed a root touch up. She said she didn't have time for that and to make another appointment! I was also told that that would have been the first thing done, which I have always had my roots touched up with foils in my hair. I told her how upset I was and she said "it was a miscommunication and she thought I wanted my highlights to my roots" (how is that a natural look!?!) She said all she could do was put a demi on my roots. So, in the end, I spent over $200 for my hair to be striped with blond highlights and gray roots. This stylist does not have the tool kit to be at this caliber of salon. Ridiculous! read more

Wonderful place!!! Stylist was knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend for date night, homecoming style or prom.

Having heard so many wonderful things about The Dry House, I decided to pop in and check it out, while I was in the area. I was greeted by a very warm and cheerful receptionist who was willing to answer all my questions. That is, until the conversation was interrupted by Kelsey. I was somewhat taken aback by the way the friendly receptionist was dismissed by Kelsey. The phone rang, and the receptionist happily answered the phone & continued her professional manner. I began asking Kelsey my questions, but Kelsey was too concerned about venting her work frustrations as well as complaining about her financial situation. I was shocked. I could not get away fast enough. For the record: All the busy stylists seemed very professional and the overall vibe was very positive. Customers appeared to be happy I will eventually give the Dry House a 2nd chance. Hopefully Kelsey will have herself pulled together by then. (But I doubt that I'll have her do my hair) read more
