She observed him and helped me identify some additional behavioral problems that I didn't realize were there. After her explanations, they made total sense. I was looking for someone who can help me understand how to better train my dog rather than someone who will just train my dog. We definitely recommend Andi!…read more We originally reached out to Andi for consultations regarding both of our Maltipoos, Kiki and Coco. During our initial phone consultation, Andi was incredibly honest and genuine. After learning more about our dogs, she felt that Kiki was the one who would benefit most from formal training and suggested that we could apply what we learned with Kiki to Coco as well. We really appreciated that she didn't try to upsell us on training for both dogs when she easily could have. That immediately showed us how much she genuinely cares about helping dogs and their families. At the time, Kiki was about six months old and was extremely reactive to just about everything in the outside world. We were looking for someone whose methods aligned with our values, and we loved Andi's positive reinforcement approach. Kiki completed Andi's six-week program, and the growth we've seen has been incredible. What sets Andi apart is that she isn't focused solely on teaching dogs tricks or obedience commands. She truly cares about each dog's emotional well-being and how they're feeling throughout the process. We learned so much--not just about Kiki, but about ourselves as dog owners. Andi helped us understand how our own behaviors and responses can shape our dogs, which was eye-opening and incredibly valuable. Of course, the work doesn't stop when the training sessions end. It takes consistency and ongoing practice at home, but Andi gave us the tools and confidence to continue building on Kiki's progress. The effort has been absolutely worth it. One of the best parts is that we were able to use many of the same training methods with our older Maltipoo, Coco, and she learned and benefited from them as well. Andi actively encouraged this, which we really appreciated. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and ethical trainer who truly puts dogs' well-being first, we wholeheartedly recommend Andi and Diamond Dog Training.

What started as a simple intention to gain basic obedience training soon evolved into an ongoing, dedicated commitment to getting my pound rescued dog certified as a full-service dog. I continue to work towards becoming an efficient handler of my service dog, and because of my VFR training, my service dog has mastered almost twenty of the required thirty commands towards graduation. As a result of our training activities, I walk five miles a day, have lost over sixty-five pounds (65lbs), and have been able to stop the use of most of my previously prescribed medications. Because of our training, I was able to take my dog on vacation with me while we visited multiple national parks, a UNESCO site, restaurants, museums and stayed at four-star hotels, without having to pay for pet service fees. VFR affiliation means more to me than basic obedience training, it is about the unspoken camaraderie of the membership that consists of military veterans (and active duty) as well as first responders. Jenny and James are fantastic people, and I am indebted to them for the training they provide at no cost to me.

DAMAGED OUR HOME WHILE WE WERE OUT OF TOWN, DID NOT INFORM US, TRIED TO COVER UP AND HAS NOT…read moreRECTIFIED. DO NOT USE - DECEPTIVE AND VOID OF INTEGRITY. Rob was referred to us by our vet, who we trust implicitly. He house sat our dogs on a few occasions within the last year when we were out of town, with the understanding he would stay in our house. Our last time using Rob was very beginning of January 2026. We were happy to open our home to Rob, having him bringing his dogs to keep our dog company as we recently lost one of our two. Needless to say we were in good communication throughout our trip between texts and pictures, usually a few time a day. When we arrived home at 11:45pm from our trip, upon opening our front door we immediately saw a huge dent in our new refrigerator, on the right side door- something so large it could be seen from about 25-30 feet away. I immediately texted Rob, asking what happened to our refrigerator- he said he "omg forgot to tell you" on that morning, he asked his partner to "throw him his phone" from across the kitchen and missed it. He then attempted to fix it himself, was unsuccessful in doing so. This seemed to obviously have some important information missing and/or intentionally misrepresented. The refrigerator also had a few smaller dings further down on it that were not there on the same, right side, now-damaged door. Rob did not respond to our inquiry as to how they happened (not from a phone, for sure). Additionally, the protective film was peeled off- which when asked about, we were told it happened when Rob tried to pull the dent out. Rob then failed to respond WHY THE PROTECTIVE FILM WAS ALSO PEELED OFF THE OTHER, LEFT SIDE, PERFECTLY GOOD AND UNDAMAGED DOOR WHEN ASKED WHY HE DID THAT. After ducking the questions he then apologized and stated he would take care of the issue. At no point in the process did Rob offer any refund for the $375 we paid for approximately 3.5 days of service as a good will gesture, nor any explanation as to why in the 4-5 texts we received that day from him while we were traveling back did he disclose that he damaged our home. Instead, he chose to try to cover up, mislead and hide his mistake- rather than stand up, take ownership and responsibility. The fact that he stated he "forgot to tell" us after spending time to go by tools to fix, deliberately removing film from the good left side door (because it was obvious that it no longer matched the right side without film) is such an outrageous falsehood, yet worse to think it would be believed, speaks to the accountability and maturity level well below that of an adult. This also demonstrates a complete lack of transparency and integrity as not only a business owner in a word of mouth, referral and trust-based industry where clients entrust Rob with their loved pets and homes, but speaks volumes about his character. At our expense and time lost, we had to have both doors replaced. This took a few weeks. When we contacted Rob after completion of work, there were multiple responses of hardship stating his inability to cover damages done. After demanding at least the refund of our $375 that was never offered, Rob tried to short it $75 at first. Save yourself from future problems- go anywhere else for you pet needs but with Rob.

I was taking my dog to Dave for training. We did 12 weeks of training once a week at a local dog…read morepark. The training with Dave was great, and we learned a lot one‑on‑one. I then started using him for boarding and training while we went out of town. The first time I dropped off Koa, I was happy--kind of. He said she had diarrhea and that she had worms. I took her to the vet, and she had no worms. I was surprised he even said that because she gets flea prevention that includes deworming, and she didn't have diarrhea prior to drop‑off. The second time we dropped her off, we left her with probiotics as recommended by her vet because she gets stressed when she's there. That time, there were no problems. The third time she stayed there, it seemed like Dave had new staff members. No one seemed to know I was dropping her off. I told them that she cannot eat food that they leave out all day because she gets diarrhea. Later, I got a text from Dave saying she had diarrhea again and that she had worms. I tried explaining to Dave that she did not and that I had already spoken to the staff. I had also given the staff her food. When we went to pick her up at the scheduled time, they made my husband wait almost an hour because they wanted to give her a bath, which was not discussed prior to pick‑up. They also confused her with another dog on their Instagram, which made me think that maybe she never had diarrhea and that it might have been another dog. No more. I feel like Dave has taken on too many clients, and this is no longer working. Sorry, Dave, but you are no longer trustworthy. I did, in fact, leave my dog with another trainer while we went on vacation, and she didn't have diarrhea. Amazing.
