During our appointment my acne was evidently severe mainly around my chin/cheeks. Arlette mentioned I should book a skin consultation appointment to help me get it under control. Mind you prior to this I was on an expensive skincare routine that was recommended by another spa, so I was a bit apprehensive. Nonetheless, I ended up booking the appointment for the following week. They primarily use ZO products. She put me onto the following: oil control pads, daily power defense, exfoliating cleanser, acne control benzoyl peroxide, dual action scrub, tretinoin, and recommended spf. Products were not used in that order, they created a custom day and night routine for me. Then switch to retinol instead of Tret. In between I also did 2 vi peels and 2 skin pen microneedling(done elsewhere). Zo products and the Facebar has truly changed my skin and given me more confidence than ever. I came in for Botox and lip filler, and returned for a touch-up after being told it would be included. After driving about 40 minutes, I was informed that I would need to pay because "all the product had already been used." This was never explained to me at the time of treatment. In my experience, touch-ups are normally included as part of standard aftercare, and this situation was not communicated clearly or professionally. Due to this experience and how it was handled, I will not be returning.

My results were less than spectacular, and i have a NEW forehead wrinkle i had never seen before! I called today and spoke (i should say, listened, as she kept speaking over me) to Devin, who told me that Botox takes 2 weeks for one to see any effect. Anyone who has had a successful Botox treatment knows that this is not true. When Caroline treated me, i saw immediate improvement in the eyebrow area. I finally gave up, as Devin put me on hold, talking to various people, and i realized that i had spent almost $750 in vain, as no one was concerned that i was not pleased with the results. i asked several times whether they would offer any corrections, and was told to call back in 2 weeks. This was very disappointing, as i have previously had a positive experience at Skin Spirit in both California and in the Maryland area. It was already 15 minutes passed my appointment in which I had to drive 45 minutes each time I come in. If the front desk staff would have just graciously had given me a heads up I wouldn't have been so upset and could have made arrangements to get to another appointment I had with my job. By time I left the office it was 30 minutes passed my appointment time and I tried to reschedule and they told me they didn't have another appointment for another month. It's the lack of consideration that ruined my whole experience for me. I like my technician but after this second appointment in which I couldn't even have a service I will have to reconsider coming back. I would have paid for more laser treatments in the future if I didn't have such a bad experience with customer/patient service or lack there of. They want you to be on time but they will not extend you the same courtesy or at least communicate the delay. I would not recommend going there if you want a timely appointment.

I had to choose a rating, this is just a comment on the way the transfer of ownership affected my account. I was very happy with the services I received in the past. I still had a few of treatments remaining on hold. When I recently called, I was told that the new ownership would not be honoring the sessions. While I can understand why that may happen, I do feel that the transition could have been handled more thoughtfully. It would have been helpful if either the old or new owners had notified clients that they only had a limited window (such as 30 days) to use any remaining sessions. A simple courtesy call or email would have made a big difference. As of now I am out my sessions that were pre-paid. For that reason, I'm not leaving a negative review--I don't know enough about the new ownership to do so--but I do think it's important to share that the handoff and client communication could have been much better.
