We've been coming here for their drag show a few years in row now and they never cease to amaze us. The dag queens are talented and friendly. The staff are very friendly and the food and drinks are fresh and delicious. I think this place it is NOT a must see place. I found the drag performers to be a little bit under performing, and overall not entertaining. The crowd is usually an older group of men ages 40-50s if that is something that interests you. More of a chill laid back spot where people may have a drink together, but do not expect any dancing, comedy, or a party vibe. The service was pretty slow. Expect to wait over 15 minutes for a simple drink like vodka soda or beer. The only pros at this location is that there is no cover charge, and there is always going to be a space. If you are going to something close by for dinner and have a wait time, you can easily stop by for a drink while you wait for your table. I'm probably a bit late but this joint that has drag every night? Yes please! Their Friday night drink prices are great and the staff are very friendly and attentive! It is a little cold in here so bring a sweater as they blast the fans on to keep the queens cool. It feels like a club even though I entered at 6pm as there are coloured lights flashing, loud music and it's quite dark with very little natural light. Love that they gave free popcorn for the drag event! We ordered the $19 nachos which were very mediocre. Just think peppers, beans, tomato's and cheese but not at all loaded or layered. For $19 I would've expected more toppings and the attention to preparing it. I might just stick to drinking here and pass on the food. For the drag performers themselves, you can tell they're not seasoned queens and don't take their craft seriously. It could be just the queens that night but they were often not knowing all the lyrics, making the jokes during the song and kept asking for tips. I would like to thank The Drink for making my birthday a day to remember! The service was exceptional and the manager Jimmy was so accommodating to a large group. The music was top 40 and I only wished I could have come earlier to dance more. I felt the drag performers were top notch and knew how to engage the crowd. Cute spot located on Church Street, it is currently over an Asian restaurant. Upon getting up the stairs you'll find a glass door, watch your step it's small but will get you. Walking in the bar is towards your left immediately behind some bench seating. To your right there is a seating area and small stage for the drag show. Washrooms are located pass the bar, short hallway immediately through what appears to be another seating area. Overall my impression was positive, initially it appeared that there was only one bartender on staff, very adorable but very busy. Not many customers sitting around me, as I sat up at the bar however there was a number of customers seated around the area and it seems the bartender not only serves at the bar but also provides table service. I thought it was a quant idea however when alone that creates a problem as there were very demanding customers at the bar while he dropped off and picked up drinks from the tables and probably vice versa. During my brief visit after a long and tiring day I thought this was cute place and was fortunate enough to catch an entertaining drag show. A new cafe on church street offering coffee, pastry and some food. At the time I had come in, maybe two weeks ago - they had just opened so like any spot just starting out there are a few kinks to sort out. Warning! It's not an easy place to spot. In fact, I had sauntered right passed it. I had to double check the address and google maps on my phone. I spotted a sandwich board with their name situated at the opening of the door. It's on the second floor! It's a clean, modern space. The view from the chairs by the window are great. Birds eye view of church street are sweet. Super friendly! Love the customer service here. I believe, they were on the way to getting a liquor license when I was there a couple weeks ago. I think they do now with their later hours. Anyhoo, great customer service. Really wanting to make this a place for people to come in and relax on their own or with friends. Wifi is available so you can work on whatever all day. Coffee bar and pastries available. Limited food available. I'm not sure about the food part. There is no kitchen so the food brought in and potentially microwaved is not too appealing. Bit of a disappoint. The pastry was fine so maybe more choices in that arena would be great. One of the two washroom doors was working. They had the tiniest garbage can in there tucked below the sink towards the corner. Paid 16$ for a virgin mojito that was literally water, ice, and lime juice at the bottom. No mint, carbon, lime - nothing. My table was so confused as to the pricing and quality. While I've yet to check this place out in the daytime, The Drink is a fun, chill bar at night. I started coming here on a friend's recommendation and because Ivory Towers has been performing there and I wanted to see her. It's a small venue, but it's a nice change from Crews and Ogradys across the street. Both Thursday nights I've been here they've had a great line up of drag queens with music varying from top 40 to musical theatre (a total win in my book). When you try to be everything, you don't end-up being much of anything. This Drink embodies this principle to a T! I went in the afternoon around 1pm on a Saturday to give the cafe portion a shot and quickly discovered that it's simply too loud, lacking in warmth, and has seating that'll wish you didn't just buy a coffee, so you could leave and sit somewhere comfortable. The coffee was standard and the few treats on offer were equally mediocre. They have WIFI, but it's spotty. I came to study, but could barely hear myself think. I also witnessed two individuals struggling to maintain a conversation over all the noise, so not quite cafe atmosphere. This led me to believe that maybe it was more of a night spot... When I came to check-out the space at night, the one staff member could barely handle the crowd, which tells me there's an issue with the space's management. I mean, I felt bad for the guy, who was clearly trying to do his best, but was all but set-up to fail. The kegs were also not "working" or empty, so we couldn't order draft. The seats are metal stools and uncomfortable. The space is also upstairs, so not accessible to those with mobility challenges. The washrooms are fine. Needless to say, The Drink needs to refocus itself or it'll fail. The concept is fun and with potential, but its executions is subpar. read more

The sound system is full, including a mic that is conveniently available with video screens and music available (verify your capacity). Love this place. It's quiet and peaceful on week nights which I like and just enough of a crowd on weekends to still be enjoyable without the pretentiousness or church street. The bartenders are super friendly which always helps. I love this establishment. Whether I stop in for a coffee or an adult beverage the customer service is compared to none. I like to go there during the day, have a coffee meet with a client or just have some down time. I have also been there at night when the place is hopping with quality entertainment, amazing service and don't forget the free popcorn!!! I have tried the pizza - you can't go wrong.
