Delicious thin crust sausage pizza. The service was great and a unique restaurant in the Millworks District.

Server very engaging and attentive. She recommended non alcoholic drinks for two of us, one being a cucumber infused the other had a grapefruit base. My dark stout was tasty. My date's red wine as well. The sour dough bread was baked fresh and it "kept coming." Leek and cheese fondue appetizer addictive. Famous fried chicken did not disappoint. The jalapeño corn bread had a great kick. My Sopressato pizza was outstanding as the shrimp pasta. Locally sourced foods. My dessert of a classic Brandy Alexander... Yum. The bar for quality, uniqueness, and service hasn't lowered. It's the testament to Brazen's longevity, something very rare today. Forgot to add it's a great value for the $ in today's market!

Our server, Abbe, did her thing and I ordered the Amish chicken based on her rave opinion of it. She wasn't wrong! It was out of this world! It was marinated with black truffle and brown sugar and the smashed potatoes had a black garlic vinaigrette. To. Die. For. Lest I forget, the peach and burrata with sourdough was also divine and the leek fondue- yeah, just take my money. Even though I couldn't finish my dinner and was definitely taking it home, I couldn't pass up the vegan sticky date cake. This was melt in your melt delicious. This was truly a meal to remember and I'm so glad we got to experience it!

It's also located inside of an old bank, so we wanted to check this one out. We were seated immediately and received great service. The waitress was new, but already familiar with the menu. She made recommendations and was very attentive. We started with the pretzel and I can't wait for you to see the photo of how huge this thing is! We all three ate some of it, and there was enough for two people left once we were all done. It's massive! For the entree, I had the chicken quesadillas, my husband had the salmon bowl, and my son had the French dip. The food was all very good and if he chooses Dubuque for college, we will definitely be back!

It's right in the downtown area, so it's perfect for dinner before a show or casino visit. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, pastas, and entrees. I got the California Burger with grilled chicken and truffle fries. All very tasty. We also shared some cheese curds which were amazing! We devoured those. They come with ranch of course and a Melba sauce which was unique. It gave a good sweet and salty mix with the curds. The service was also quick and friendly. Definitely check out if you are in the area

Btw... reservations are only made by phone as they are not on Open Table, Table or Yelp for reservations. The bonus is that you can request a booth (as we did) when you call. It was perfectly lit inside so that while still romantic, you can see the menu! We didn't have to bring out the phone for this. There was a special small menu as well, that had a special Valentine's Day menu. What I didn't realize, until half way through the meal, was that the cocktail menu was on the back side. We did have to request the wine menu, which came in an old, tattered notebook. An investment in a nice professional wine folder would be a nice touch for this more upscale establishment. We had a fabulous dinner for Valentine's Day! We did order a bottle of the house Pinot Noir, a wonderful sweeter wine from Napa Valley. We started out with the chef's salad, which was a mix of greens, feta cheese crumbles and a deliciously sweet and tart balsamic vinaigrette! Both my husband and I had the beef tenderloin, which came with scrumptious mashed potatoes and perfectly steamed carrots and broccoli. For dessert, we had the wonderfully tasty Betty Jane's Gremlin Cheesecake, which did not disappoint! It was so creamy, not too rich, with just the right amount of sweetness! Priced at $10, we felt it was a little steep for the very slim slice that was served as most couples share a dessert! Honestly, it was so good, I just wanted more of it! The service was outstanding with the perfect amount of attention. Bus service didn't really happen but the server, Gabe, was on top of it, clearing plates when needed. All in all, we had a lovely night celebrating Valentine's Day, a day early to avoid the crowds!

Received our coffee and water shortly after seating. We watched several (5-6) groups of 2 + come in and be seated- at tables and some at the bar. We sat for close to 30 minutes before someone came over and asked if we had been helped. Of the groups that came in after us all but 2 of them had been served and left. We were hungry for breakfast and options were limited so we sat it out. We ordered the meals, then waited for 30 minutes for the food. Again, people who ordered after us received their food ahead of ours. There was one waitress who was running like crazy and was very personable. One of them was on their phone and ringing up wrong checks- only reason we know this is that it was very clearly heard when she being talked to about it. One younger employee was just kind of there- not sure what her role was. Needless to say, when we are back in the area this will not be stop. We left at 11:40. Don't believe all the local hype and reviews. Food was decent and priced well but the rest was a disappointment.
