We got free admission via a bank promotion. The site is quite large, with a few additional buildings / pavilions. They have a huge parking area. The staff was friendly when we arrived. The museum is a bit smaller than I recalled. That may be due to having visited a larger auto-themed museum a few months ago; maybe that skewed my perspective. Here, they have a long central hallway currently showing a series of NASCAR entries from the 1950s through the present. Some of the models recur, so it is a good overview of how the cars have evolved over the decades both in style and in how they are outfitted for racing. There are also several attached rooms with their own sets of vehicles. One featured a variety of Jeeps from the original military type, through mail delivery vehicles from the 80s, to variants from Japan, etc. Another room featured historical vehicles - concept cars, a car owned by Amelia Earhart, a van used by a civil rights organization on an island in South Carolina, etc. A third was devoted to luxury-type vehicles of various types. At one end of the main hall is a theater where they apparently show films once a month. Outside of that are older cars (Ford Model Ts) and a collection of car-themed artwork on the walls. From what I recall, they have changed out most of the vehicles versus what I recall from last time. They may have some that are museum-owned, but they appear to get quite a number of on-loan cars, which potentially makes the experience somewhat fresh on each visit. They also had a cafeteria, though we left before lunchtime. We spent about an hour here, though you could probably easily double that if you were more of a car enthusiast. This is definitely worth a stop.

I came across the charming Southern Seasons Tea Room online and decided to make a brief getaway to Rome GA. While the journey was much longer than I expected, it was totally worth it. Upon my arrival I was warmly greeting by Courtney. She introduced me to four freshly brewed ice teas, one of which I was to choose as part of my lunch menu. Difficult to chose just one. The Venue As soon as I drove in and saw their signage, I knew I was going to have an exceptional experience. Absolutely beautiful. No detail was spared in the decor and themed tables. The Food My menu of choice included finger sandwiches, appetizer and dessert. Very filling, I ended up taking a few sandwiches to go. They offer a selection of lunch options on line. I love their ease of reserving, selecting and paying on line. The Teas They have teas I have never heard of. I decided to purchase a Scottish Breakfast tea. The Staff Thank You Hailey and Courtney for making this out of towner feel so at home and welcome. I truly appreciate the travel scones and treats. Southern Seasons is the perfect day trip destination, I look forward to returning. For those of you who visit, please leave reviews. I would have never discovered this hidden gem had it not been for the reviews.

We were served tea sandwiches, scones, and pastries. The room is decorated very nicely, with a Harry Potter theme since it's October. There are hats to use for pics, if desired. Next to the dining room is the store where you can sample and purchase various teas, if desired. The staff were excellent. Both ladies were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend visiting any chance you get.

However, as we pulled in to the farm we got a little worried because the area surrounding the farm were a little unkempt. But we continued on. There was plenty of parking. We paid our entrance fee and began to look around. The kids saw several things they wanted to do, but alas there was an extra charge. The treetop experience was $50+ a person, the swing ride was $5 a person, feeding the giraffe was $5 a person, riding a camel was $5 a person, etc. needless to say we did do the extras except the camel ride for the older two kids. Concessions were available and fairly reasonably priced. Fortunately the "hay" tractor ride was good with stops to see the camels, pigs and goats, and zebras (of course food to feed the animals was extra). Overall we had a good time, but I was not a fan of all the hidden extra costs. We did buy a few small pumpkins and gourds. If you visit plan to take plenty of cash with you. Would I recommend this place? Maybe. The exotic animals were cool but I think other farms do a better job of creating that "fall pumpkin patch" feel.
