Walked in to meet the owner, who greeted me and August (my pup) at the door. Friendly local neighborhood pet store with so many options to spoil your furry family. The shop is filled with cleverly craft pup donuts, cupcakes and froyo. Check out the array of dry goods if your little guy likes to chew including tripe, beef liver, beef bones, chicken feet, duck liver and roasted garbanzo beans. We couldn't resist the puppy cupcakes, though with a 17 pound pup, it's very much cake sized for him! I appreciated the ingredient list on all the bulk food items. Great if your furry friend has allergies! The owner invited me to a weekend event at a park nearby and a cake tasting! Forgot to bring cash, but luckily they are also set up for cash! Friendly team. This place is essentially my dream-come-true-- a dog-friendly bakery. My German Shepherd absolutely loved coming in and hanging out for an hour. The people are so incredibly kind, and if you're lucky (if your pup is friendly), another doggo might come in for a visit, too! As far as the treats are concerned, my pup is SUPER PICKY... and we still managed to find things he absolutely devoured. I highly recommend the carob chip cookies! It gives your pup an opportunity to experience a chocolate chip cookie that's not actually toxic because it's not really chocolate! Quick side note - I actually ate the cookie myself and it was delicious. These people put so much work into making their treats healthy and delish for all the pups in town. read more

The dog chef cafe made a lovely custom cake for our dog's first birthday. They did misspell "birthday", but it was still so cute. It looked and smelled so delicious that i was almost tempted to try some myself haha. We had 6 dogs in total at the party, and the small size cake (there's 2 sizes to pick from) was more than enough for all of them to gobble up. They all really liked the icing in particular. This place is amazing! The owner/chef, Kevyn, is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and he's great with dogs (and humans). He clearly loves what he's doing and is good at it! It's a pretty shop with all kinds of healthy dog food and treats. My dog absolutely loves each cookie he's tried so far. We'll be going back for more cookies and to sample all the other goodies too! I love that I could get my pup's nails trimmed here by the wonderful Jesus at the same time. I absolutely love this place!!! We have a great experience every time we go. The owner is super friendly and down to earth. He's always chatting it up with his customers and making them feel like they've been friends for years. My Yorkie is obsessed with all of his foods and treats. We try to get her something different each visit from the prepared meals to the froyo and even cupcakes. (The empanadas are "paws" down her favorite) the pricing is reasonable, the food is all freshly made with real fruits, veggies and meats! Not that artificial crap. I stopped in here because I saw Kevyn on the streets of Baltimore and I knew him in high school...I wasn't expecting to be amazed but I was...that was about 6 or 7 months ago. For the 4th of July weekend I left my dogs Frenzee and Juggernaut for five days. AMAZING. Jugg is huge and afraid of other dogs. He has failed the exam at 3 (yeah I said THREE) doggy day care centers because as soon as the other dogs come out he runs into a crate and won't come out. Well...the family (and I say family because that is what they are not a staff) had my Jugg playing, romping and wagging his tail off almost from the beginning. He loves the Kale Pretzels and I try to treat them to an entree whenever I can get over there (I work two jobs so its not easy). They love the food...so...go for your dogs and stay for these amazing people. Baltimore's dog loving community just hit solid gold. Don't forget that Photography by Meredith Brown is also on sight and to say that her pics are anything less than amazing is a lie. This place really has it all for the dog lover. They have a yappy hour and they regularly house animals from the local shelters to help them get their forever homes. The dedication and passion truly shines through in every aspect of this amazing place. But...honestly...they had me with the sparkly red floors!! read more

The presentation is gorgeous and both of my dogs LOVE the food. If you have ever wanted to try a raw food diet for your pet, this would be the perfect way to start. The Dog Chef will allow you to order a week of prepared food for your pet for about $50 (depending on size, it might be less). He delivers in air-tight sealed packages and they can stay frozen for long periods of time. read more

This place is awesome. Not only is it owned and run by fantastic people, but the quality of product is excellent. The new location is beautiful and our two pups love to stop by. It reminds me of an old-school candy store for pups, with treats out on display in big glass jars, and roasted chickpeas in a vintage gumball machine. The roasted chicken's feet, gizzards and pigs tails are some of our fur-babies' favorites. This is probably the only place you can find good high-end gourmet food for dogs like fresh Bacon Molasses Fro-yo, Mixed Berry Moon Pies, and Bison and Cow Tongue Cookies.
