This food truck is great because you see Moe throw the ingredients on the griddle instead of pulling from a large pile of meat that who knows how many hours has been sitting there like some places on King. I made my way to this big blue bombshell and waited patiently to place an order. Traffic held up the support team and generator, so they opened about 15mins behind schedule. But who's counting. As they fired things up inside my taste buds started to dance and my belly was rumbling. Couldn't wait to get my teeth into one of those lamb gyros. I was forth in line, starting to panic. "What if the folks ahead are feeding the high school band?" "What if they run out of gyros?!" I cringed at the though as I finally made it to the front and placed my order. Lamb gyro with fries and some Feta Bombs? Ok, I'll bite...and boy did it. Suffice to say when I was handed my box full of goodies, I nearly fainted from the weight! Ate like a king tonight. When I saw the truck of the week was Food Box, I made a point to go (especially after seeing their menu on Facebook). I hung out a bit better placing my order, as the food truck was still setting up and not ready to cook yet. I ordered a a black bean burger ($6) for myself and a schnitzel sandwich with fries ($10) for my husband. I felt like was a fair price. Only a few other people were around, so I figured it wouldn't be long for my food. 7-8 minutes after ordering, the staff came to me and said they forgot to bring the black bean burgers on the truck, so he couldn't make my order. All of the other items were burgers or pork. I'd already placed my husband's order and didn't want him to not have food, so I waited around for his and just left hungry. At least the staff refunded me my money for the black bean burger they didn't have. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I waited 15 minutes on a menu item that they didn't have. I do hope I can give them a second chance and update this review.

Tonight I had the honey chicken, the crispy texture was perfect with the honey flavor. They were so good! I thought they would be small servings, but these were nice size pieces of boneless chicken on a soft bun (think King's Hawaiian). For $9 we had a delicious chicken slammie with fries. The fries were delicious too, thick perfectly fried, and salted, boy these went well with out beer. I noticed the name of the food truck is gobble gobble. I thought that was pretty interesting and funny at the same time. Once I learned that a friend of mine was going to get dinner here, I basically checked in on my Yelp app mobile and proceeded to follow my friend to check things out. It was a brisk Thursday evening here in Charleston And I had not had dinner yet that evening. And so, I didn't think my friend will really drive me around to find dinner, so I opted to find something here at Gobble Gobble food truck during my short stint here. First impressions were that it is still the food truck. They have a small and a very limited menu. I opted for the Grassfed beef burger, which seem to be a good and logical choice of all the options presented. I did not know what the potato rounds were initially, but I assumed it was more or less french fries. So I got those too. It was cool that they actually came to the brewery since they knew that I was staying there and they got my to go order wrapped up nicely and present it to me there instead of waiting actually at the food truck itself. It was cool because I did not know whether or not they knew I was in the area after the order or went elsewhere. I ended up eating my dinner back at the hotel, because I was really hungry after taking two beers at the Palmetto brewery, and wanted to actually enjoy it back at the hotel while watching television. The meal was rather good and delicious. I really have Grassfed beef anyway so it was a real treat for me. It was cool, I enjoyed it quite nicely. The overall experience here at gobble, gobble food truck here in Charleston, South Carolina was pretty good and friendly. I'll be in casual and very convenient for me to grab dinner instead of having to look around. The service here was really good and friendly. I was indecisive for maybe a few minutes but thankfully I made a good choice here. The guy at the counter was patient enough with me to wait for me to decide. For the most part though, it was actually pretty cool to have them here alongside the Palmetto brewery because you can have a meal with your beers instead of just beers. The surprising fact that they do "delivery service" is pretty cool. I am assuming that the tables that were set up outside the Palmetto brewery or shared with the brewery with the Food truck business. I am sure they complement each other in many ways and the table area is just one of them. I'm sure. Also, if you find yourself, I think a drink or two or maybe even more, consider coming here for dinner at the Gobble Gobble food truck and maybe grab a pint or two from the Palmetto brewery and have a great delicious meal. With that in mind, I'd recommend the grass fed burger but I've only had the one. Come during dinner time and you'd be glad you did. Best part of the experience is that you don't need plastic cutlery for this. All finger foods at your finger tips. Gobble Gobble Food truck is located at 289 Huger Street in Charleston, SC. I'm not sure if they do multiple locations or just stay here next to the Palmetto Brewery as a permanent fixture, but on a balmy Thursday evening in February 2023, it was there and I took full opportunity for my dinner options. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. While the area is definitely semi industrial, don't be intimidated by it all. It looks sketchy at night but it's okay when you're with friends and not alone. Physically speaking. As far as parking goes, your best bet would be the parking lot underneath the i-26. That would fit probably 20 ish cars or vehicles. If that's filled up, best thing to do is to find street parking nearby and walk on over. If you are big on CARTA public transport or even the DASH shuttles, consider the right routes for you and head on down. Oh of course, Uber and Lyft are always there if you need them. It was cool to check Gooble Gobble food truck out in Charleston South Carolina. One of the cool things in the area. Check 'em out! 4.0 stars for the overall experience, especially the table side delivery. 4.0 stars for the service and food. 5.0 stars for location since I was already at the Palmetto Brewery anyways. 3.5 stars for the prices. Stayed basic and just ordered the chicken parm sandwich and meatball sub. We cut both in half and shared. That was easily the best chicken parm sandwich and the best meatball sub I've ever eaten. So much flavor & the textures were delightful. I usually can pick out things that would've made my food better, even if I enjoyed my meal, but in this case I have no notes. It was absolute perfection. Wish I would've taken a photo so I could post it here but I wasn't expecting to leave a review. Bravo!

To begin, I will state unequivocally that the meatball is my favorite sandwich (unless I'm in…read moreChicago, then it may quickly switch to a hot dipped Italian beef). So, when I first discovered the "Chucktown Meatball Co.," I hunted them down with the intention of telling them how disappointed I was, since it is SO rare I have a meatball worth its salt. Often, it has been a miserable experience, especially since I ONLY eat housemade meatballs and not the atomic waste, cylinder shaped frozen craters found at the fast-food shack of your (poor and ill-advised) choice. It took some effort, but I finally find them via Instagram, pull up to their truck parked somewhere in the swamps of West Ashley, and order the Meatball Hero (marinara on toasted Italian roll and topped with Pesto, parmigiana, and stracciatella). The preparation took a little time but trust me - that is a good thing. Before long, we complete the handoff, and I walk back to my car and immediately take a bite. Incredible. Are these the best meatballs I've ever had? No, they are not. That trophy belongs to my departed Italian mother's concoction. However, these are so good, tasty and fresh, I find myself heading back on a weekly basis (if not more). I wanted to try their pasta and other things but couldn't get off the meatball hero. Finally, the owner, in an almost plea to rid me of my demons, suggested the chicken parm hero (chicken cutlet with marinara, mozzarella, provolone, and parmigiana with pesto/stracciatella on a toasted Italian roll), and I obliged. Equally incredible, with a red hot fried fresh chicken cutlet smothered in a molten mess that was glorious to eat. Both sandwiches should be common in the Northeast (with varying degrees of quality) but finding them in Charleston at this culinary level is as rare as driving down a street with no flooding. We're talking about super high-quality food here (shockingly prepared in a truck) at a more than reasonable price. The following week, I went back to my meatball hero, because it's what I crave. I'll eventually get around to trying the pasta, but for now, let me go down swinging with a toasted Italian roll in my veins and a smile on my face. When you find them, walk up and tell them Milo sent you. They'll know.
