They send out a flatbread with goat cheese for a complimentary bread starter. Then we ordered 2 appetizers, the mussels in a white wine sauce and the duck confit tacos with a mango chutney. Mussels were so flavorful delicious! The duck tacos were served with 3 and so tender and perfectly paired with the mango chutney. For our entree we had lobster risotto which was the special. It was a big lobster tail over the risotto, very very flavorful and filling! We also got the buttered tuna which was highly recommended by other reviews I read and it definitely was worth getting! They sent out a chocolate soufflé style cake for my boyfriend's birthday, it was very good! Luis was our server and he was very very attentive, knowledgeable and funny! We definitely will recommend this place to others and will be back next time we are in Playa Del Carmen!

You get great value for what you pay for. I can only recommend this place.

Keel provides a beautiful setting, with an open air bar and attached deck overlooking the ocean…read more Seems like a good spot for a cocktail and bar bite while enjoying the views; we enjoyed the view and setting so much, we stayed for dinner, and I will say that I think you could do better down here for the full meal (even factoring in the generous Yelp 20% check-in discount!). Our group started with the Boneless chicken bites with tamarind jack Daniels sauce, which was a solid appetizer, along with a mixed ceviche, which was decent as well--a bit one note and overly spicy, but overall acceptable. The entrées were a bit more on the mediocre side, unfortunately. My burger was overcooked to my order, and my friend hated his soggy New Orleans pizza with mediocre, almost flavorless cheese. Drinkwise, the cocktails were good; however, my friend who is a bit of a wine connoisseur was disappointed with both of his glasses of white, and I was surprised how few interesting Mezcals they had to offer. On the whole, this was still a decent spot and an overall pleasant experience. Views aren't the hardest to come by in this town, but the one on their deck is excellent. Pick the right drinks and grab a couple of apps and pull up a chair to enjoy, check in on Yelp if they are still offering that discount, and you'll do just fine.

Everything is made with the freshest local ingredients, and it shows in every bite. The flavors are bright, authentic, and unforgettable. ICTIO is an absolute must. This is the kind of meal you'll remember and tell everyone about.

I guess they weren't prepared for it to be this busy on a Wednesday night. The food was all really good, except for the fish. It was grilled well but tasted a bit dry. Only the top of the fish that was covered in sauce had flavor but it didn't seep through to the bottom of the fish. I recommend getting the Seafood Ceviche because they make it with coconut milk, which was different from all the other ceviches we had on our trip. Other than the slow service, this was a good experience. Seafood Ceviche 9/10 Crispy Jumbo Shrimps 9/10 Soft Shell Crab Taco 9/10 Fresh Catch of the Day (half garlic butter, half ictio) 7/10

Very friendly staff, great drinks and some tasty food. A bit pricey, but still good food. For an appetizer, we got their scallops and pork belly, which was AMAZING! Then We both got the grilled Octopus and if you like this sort of seafood, then you will love this. I know people don't like the texture, so then you can try a steak or something. But this Octopus was very delicious. The mashed potatoes were a hit and the French fries were really good as well. The serving size was enough to share one of these side dishes, but whatever, we were not n vacay mode, lol Our drinks were good, and the building were very modern and nice.

WOW, this place is super clean, feels super fresh, and has wonderful service. Don't get me wrong everyone in Playa has been super nice but here they're extra nice and every single person who helped me was wonderful!!! Let's get to the food!!! For my appetizer I got a shrimp cocktail!!! Very good and had soooooooo many shrimps. They did not skimp on their shrimps I was very happy with the portion size and flavor. My main dish was the Shrimp Al pastor tacos!!! My waitress recommended it to me and I listened to her and I am so glad I did because WOW!!! WOW, once again they did not skimp on their shrimp. The shrimp was marinated perfectly with pastor sauce or whatever sauce was on it. That sauce is delicious!!! A shrimp taco order comes with 3 tacos..I probably could have eaten 9-12 tacos..for sure if I come back I will probably get 2-3 orders of taco for myself. Yes, they were they good!!! The shrimp cocktail is good too but the tacos!!! Okay, wait or maybe if I do come back I will try something else because it seems like all their food is flavorful, fresh, and so delicious. I had a cocktail that was delicious also!!! I have no idea what it was called but it was a berry frozen cocktail!!! I had two!!! Give this place a try if you are in Play!!!

This restaurant had locals and some traveling couples, very low key. A woman came to sing live and was accompanied by a saxophonist ... so nice! I ordered the Blackfish tacos and the octopus tostada. Too much food! All the fish was fresh and everything was cooked well and seasoned to perfection. I received a free tiny glass of shrimp soup (just the broth), as an appetizer or sampler. The chips and salsas were delicious. I had the buy one get one free margaritas - I picked the strawberry both times. Excellent choice, not too sweet. The service was over the top, our hostess was so fun and attentive. Our server Alberto was moving quickly and tending to everyone. This was the perfect way to close the trip- great food, great music, and cool staff

It was early/late afternoon and not many people were in the restaurant. The folks there spoke good English and had an English menu. There was a larger party near us and they definitely had a good time. They ordered ceviche, fried fish, etc and they were able to choose the fish they wanted! How cool is that. The server basically comes over with a tray of fresh fish and you just pick one...or two. We went with a paella because it looked good. It was definitely smaller than the picture. The crabs were a bit small too so you don't get any or much meat. But overall the taste was not too shabby. Perhaps a ceviche would've been better but we already had some earlier in our Mexico trip. Fairly priced, off a few blocks west of the crazy busy touristy street which is nice. Definitely will come back next time I'm in the area.
